Biography
It was a cold night when she was born. A late spring blizzard blew through the forest. For days there was nothing but the howling of wind. Only the warmth and sweet smell of her mother kept her clinging to life. Her two siblings had not faired as well as she, for their bodies had one after the other been removed from the nest. By day four, the storm had broke bringing light and the chirping of birds to her world. For the first time she could hear her mother speak. Her melodic voice speaking directly to her.
"My sweet, dear pup, I shall call you Harper. May you always listen to the songs the world may sing for you."
She grew up quick in a pack full of wolves. Everyday she was surrounded by family, friends, and even some strangers. Each day was a fight for food amongst each other, a scrape here a bicker there. It was all so exhausting. The soonest chance she got, Harper left. The last she heard from her mother was a quick goodbye. "Fly, my little one, and don't look back."
So that's exactly what she did. With space to do so, she felt as if she was flying through the trees. Her paws barely touched the ground as she raced away. The feeling of the breeze through her fur, the different smells of different plants. She frolicking through fields she found all to herself, she splashed along the shallows of any lake she crossed. This was the freedom she had been yearning for.
Then she found it. A place to call her own, a place to call home. A forest where the trees took ten paces to trot around. Where despite it being midday, the shadows drowned out light. And amongst it all an abandoned den created from a hollowed out fallen tree with a beautiful sunlit lake down the hill. This was it, with a wagging tail and a head held high, Harper embraced this place as her own. She found where she belonged and was willing to fight to keep it.

| Personality
Timid ~ Falling more on a line wolf spectrum, Harper seems to avoid unnecessary interactions. It's very rare she starts, or even seeks out, a conversation. She naturally steps into doing things on her own and seems to enjoy it that way. At least alone there is nobody to judge.
Methodical ~ With every action she takes, Harper keeps this organized and planned. Whether it be a hunt or a simple patrol around her terrain, there is a step by step plan. It keeps her on track with a goal in mind, everything else seems to seep into place along these plans.
Self-sufficient ~ Since leaving her home pack to be on her own, she has not needed any assistance. She can hunt, patrol and she knows basic fighting skills. Anything a pack can do, she can do just as well. Harper never really thinks about finding a mate or growing a family. Those things never really popped up on her to do list.
Soft ~ Through her strong methodical, self sufficient personality, Harper is soft. If put in a situation where she is part of a group, she leaves the decision making to others. Putting her opinions out there has never been one of her priorities and surely somebody else has a better one anyway.
Preferences
Night ~ Harper holds a special bond for the darkness of the night. When others might be spooked of what goes bump, she stays calm. The forest she resides is her home. She feels safe within this darkness, confined comfortably behind familiar scents. The eerie silence always felt more welcoming.
Winter ~ She thrives in the cold unlike many others. If it could be she would make the snow her best friend. Mix night and snow together and she thinks she's seen the other side. She'd spend long nights laying out in the cold, if it weren't for the cozy dimness of her little den.
Rabbits ~ Though she says she is not picky, if given the option, Harper will most always choose rabbit as her meal.
Special Skills
Gift of Healing ~ Harper learned from a young age she was able to heal those who had been wounded. With a quick nose tap and a whole lot of focus the injured would be cured.
This gift has its downsides, for every wound she mends she feels half the pain. She tries her best to keep this hidden as she does not wish to worry those she helps.
