Biography
Basalt is a skittish wolf who is the runt of his litter. He has always had to try extra hard to keep up with his slightly elder sisters, Cordelia and River.
As a pup, he was usually the butt of River's jeers and teasing, which made him unsure of himself and shy. His sister, Cordelia, defended him from River's jokes, which made them grow close.
As a trainee, he found himself skilled with hunting human' prey. Goodness! Not actual humans, of course, but their pets. Basalt is well skilled at hunting sheep and chicken, with his smaller size and runtish features, he looks different from the sharp featured wolves of the Dahlia Pack.
Although his runtish appearance is not a con for forest hunting, his smaller size helps him pass of as a dog!
He sometimes fools the farmers and manages to sneakily zip a lamb or chicken out right under the Cultivators' nose!
He earns extra respect for his creativity and determination to help the pack, and is treated just like every other.

Basalt is grey wolf with dark spots, and he was named after a lake.
Basalt is not always confident in himself, making him cautious of most things. He's always hiding under a large tree or in a pile of leaves. Basalt is friendly to the people he knows well; he is more confident while being with his siblings or close friends.
Basalt mostly stays in his den talking to friends, and he explores the territory with assistance. When on pressure, he panics a lot.
But as his continues to live with Dahlia Pack he finds more of himself with every new thing he tries.

A while back, I put out a wish titled "A farmer's hat". I didn't have a lot of mushrooms back then, so in that wish I was hoping to earn 100 mushrooms to get Basalt a cowboy hat.
And today, it has finally come true! Thank you so much, all who donated! I can't remember everyone who donated, but I would like to especially thank pack Sateda (######) who donated 24 wishbones and pack Mistakes (######) who donated the majority of the rest!
