Biography
Running from the Priest (aka Apostasy), is one of many childern sired by the Priest. He was next in line to take over the duties of his father. Priest was a kind father to Apo and always encouraged him to follow his dreams.
Apo's birth name was Azreil and he wore it with pride in the early years. He was so happy to be chosen to take over his father's seat in the church, after all he knew his father as kind and gentle. But that all changed when he became of age and started learning what it takes to be a priest. App had been sent to a missionary with other young males eager to learn the way of the church to help guid lost souls but when he got there the main priest know as Father Lyall wasnt anything Apo Expected.
You see, with Lyall's strict amd cruel ways of pounding the belief into their heads Apo began to lose his own faith. He was hounded day in and out to be the perfect follower, the perfect son of God and soon the perfect priest. Any time Apo disobeyed he was punished with a paw to the face, head under water or anything else Father Lyall came up with. Throughout years of pain and suffering Apo began to loathe waking up. His body gave out and his soul was broken. There were days this young wolf didnt think it was possible to keep going on.
Anytime the Father was near the scars over Apo's muzzle and flank began to ache and make focusing hard and over time this new sense branched off to any " Holy " man that was within 50 yards of him.
This became helpful later on in life.
As an escape Apo would sneak off in the night to a clearing in the woods he was fond of. Not many wolves knew of this place and even fewer went there once the sun set. While there he would go to a tree and begin to attack it. Taking his frustration and pain out on the defensless tree and unknowingly catching the interest of a strange wolf from a neighboring pack.
The strange wolf would sit and watch the young priest fight the tree and hone his fighting skill. 'he could have potential.' The wolf thought to himself while his yellow eyes never peeled from the little golden wolf.
This went on for a few months before one night Apo had worked himself into exhaustion after being beaten by Father Loyally. His body was worn and tired, his soul even further broken. None of this escaped the strange wolf's gaze. And after watching Apo pass out he decided it was time to speak with his alpha.
"Alpha Mizrahi, as you know im not getting any younger.. And I think I may have found my replacement for lead fighter and hunter. Unfortunately, he doesnt belong to this pack." Spoke a rough and booming voice coming from a dark Grey wolf. His yellow eyes pierced the darkness of the cave he stood in with a relatively large brown male formally known as Eptonis Mizrahi.
Mizrahi tipped his head in interested "Go on old friend, tell me, is this where you've been going every night?"
"It is, and this wolf is young, strong and despite everything has nothing but fight in him, he's the son of a priest and unlucky student of Father Lyall. Just last night I watched the poor creature collapse from pain and exhaustion that his father bestowed on him."
Cgreth continued to explain what he had gathered from watching the young wolf and eventually got the blessing from Mizrahi to go and see if he could recruit the young male to join the pack. After a few days of getting a place ready for the young wolf and prepping the rest of the pack Cgreth went off to lie in wait for the golden wolf to go back to his usual spot. By the time Cgreth made it the sun had set and a couple hours longer he could hear the young wolf growling and mumbling something to himself. He waited until Apo had tired himself out and collapsed again before standing up and padding his way towards the young wolf. "You know, exhausting yourself to sleep isnt that good for your body young pup. You need to pace yourself, think of your moves and conserve energy."
The sudden new voice starled Apo, causing him to jump up in defense mode with his teeth bared. "What's it to you old fool?" His voice was bitter and breathy while he struggled to catch his breath after attacking the tree.
"Old fool eh? I suppose you're right I am old, but the fool would be you. Coming into a clearing and making all of this noise, every night im surprised you didnt attract any predators. Not to mention your poor sense of when you're being watched for months on end. I was sure you'd catch me."
Once again Apo growled, this time louder while taking a step back. He couldn't believe he never noticed this wolf watching him. Was it true? Or was the old fool lying. What did he want?

" If you'd like my alpha and I could teach you to properly hone your skills and you'll never have to step a paw back into a church setting again. The pack i belong to simply has no religion. We all follow our own paths. We also dont brand or scar up our own." He spoke eyeing the crosses branded under Apo's eyes. "My name is Cgreth, beta male of the Mystic pack and you young wolf, are being invited to join us. However, I dont expect an answer right away. You come when or if you're ready to leave this place behind." Cgreth had given Apo no chance to speak before explaining how to get to the Mystic pack territory. After he was done, he simply faded into the shadows and returned home making sure to mark on his way encase the golden wolf forgot how to get there.
After the deparcher of the grey wolf Apo was able to settle down to think. He huffed, puffed and paced back and fourth before he decided to go home to his family. When he woke the next morning he decided to make sure he did everything right by his father, and spend quality time with his mother and siblings. He spent a few days with his family before returning to school where he was greated by Lyall and a swift strike to the back leaving a gash on his back. Apo had had enough took a deep breath, silently apologizing to his family before turning on his heal and attacking Lyall. The two went at it for a while, slashing and biting one another as others gathered around to witness while howling and yipping to cheer on the golden wolf. After a while the howls and yips faded as Apo gained the advantage and shank his fangs into Lyall causing him to take his last breath and giving Apo the name Apostasy: The Saint Slayer, forever stained with the blood of his 'sins'. Despite having won the fight, Apo was badly injured however, with the last of his strength he began walking towards the Mystic pack territory

This took Apo all night and as the sun was cracking over the horizon he finally made it to the edge of the territory where he collapsed from the exhaustion and pain. Once he woke up Apo realised he was in a cave, the smell was earthy from the dirt underneath him but the air was filled with different herbs and burnt wood.
He could he could hear crackling of a fire and panic set in. His heart began racing, eyes darting back and forth while he struggled to stand only for the most soothing voice to echo through his head. "Easy now killer, everything is alright. It's just a small fire to keep you warm. My name is Kolief, you're safe here." She finally entered his line of sight and gave a soft smile before laying down near the wall to show she was no threat. She too bore scars on her body but they mostly looked as if they came from battles rather than abuse.
Apo took a moment before settling back down but his eyes never left the female before him. "I'm Azri..." He stopped himself before shaking his head to continue. This was a new life for him, so a new life must mean a new name. "I'm Apostasy, Apo for short. Am I in the Mystic pack territory?" He asked quickly realizing he may not be where he's supoosed to.
Kolief simply chuckled and gave a soft nod before turning her head to the entrance of the cave. "Glad you finally made it kid. When you're feeling up to it, I'll introduce you to rest of the pack and Lady Kolief's mate, Alpha Mizrahi.." Cgreth spoke in a cheerful tone, his eyes were bright and ears forward seeing that his young recruit might just be the one to keep things going. 'Maybe this place will be better..' Apo thought to himself. But only time would tell, either way the young golden wolf smiled and agreed eagerly to see what his future would behold
