"Hyah!"
Rigel joked to himself as he circled the clueless pheasant and bit the jugular of the stupid bird. Oneshot. With his final cluck the pheasant flopped onto his side, as dead as a doornail. After checking twice for foxes- they were known to sometimes steal kills- he grabbed the prey with his jaw and carried it to his den food storage. Other then a strange array of Rhea eggs, sandwiches and hot dogs that belonged to Wooloo, it was empty. Rigel, sending a silent prayer in his mind to the ancestors of Riverwing pack, dragged the pheasant through the grass and to the middle of the food storage pit, where he watched it like it was a trophy, then trotted back to the den. The sky blushed pink and orange above him. Although there wasn't much, it was good knowing that when they woke up, someone would get breakfast, and maybe claws or wishbones too. He signed and drifted off to a sleep full of deer and squirrels.
