Kestrelflight's path will be a warrior and explorer. For now, his rank will be one under Cedarclaw, but when it is time, he will rise.

Though now, Kestrelflight doesn't really seem to be interested in explores and being leader anymore... And he is so not interested that he decides to quit the main explore team, where only select wolves get to be one. That means either Echoshine, a DG and ES wolf, or Sandsight, a UL wolf, will take his place. Hmm, who will it be?

Kestrelflight was on a short hunting patrol when suddenly, waves of pain attacked his chest, forcing him to crumble to the ground.

"Kestrelflight?" Nightbreeze asks worriedly. "Are you alright?"

Kestrelflight parts his jaws to say something, but instead hisses in pain, yet manages a growl, "My chest... It hurts really badly."

Spottedstar looks at him, deep concern showing in his eyes, and then orders, "Nightbreeze, go get more wolves, and rummage through our herbs and potions pile to see if there is anything that can cure Kestrelflight's case. I'll be staying with him." Nightbreeze nods, dashing off.

Kestrelflight flinches as his chest feels like it is torn open by a claw. He gasps for air in between the waves, as his body feels tight whenever the waves strike.

"Kestrelflight, hold on, we're getting help," Spottedstar soothes him.

Kestrelflight manages a brisk nod before giving into the pain again. But this time, it gets so crazy that the world slowly turns black, and he sees the ground rush towards him as it slowly faded. The pain and blackness quickly drowned Kestrelflight, and he felt himself go unconscious with the spasms continuing to come.

After a long period of time, he finds himself in a grassy meadow, and spots... His mother, Browntail. While joy and happiness overwhelmed Kestrelflight at first, his expression soon faltered with dismay as he realized that he is in StarPack.

"Kestrelflight, my beloved son. It is so great to see you again," Browntail looks at him, making his throat tight.

"M-mother," Kestrelflight breathes, voice thickened with emotion, "Likewise."

After that, they rushed to embrace each other. When a long moment of silence passed, he asks, "Am I really dead now?"

Browntail replies sadly, "Yes, you are. You suffered from a severe health attack that couldn't be cured by any potion or herb at least in your surroundings. We do not know of the exact cure for it either."

"So that must've meant that it was time for me to go," Kestrelflight concludes hesitantly, a longing to return to the living feeling overtaking him.

"I guess." Browntail licks her son. "But now that you're here, you can help your pack out in many different ways, and spend time with lost ones. Come on, I can show you around," she offers.

"Okay," Kestrelflight follows with a new light in his voice, yet his eyes still look a little unconvinced. "How is StarPack life going to be better?" He wonders.
