Jade's parents had quite the story. They had known each other since they were just pups, though they had never been in the same pack. Her mom, Warrior's Prophecy, was the daughter of a prestigious breeding wolf and an ancient female who was miraculously alive. Her father was a handsome midget with no skill in battle at all. The two were very much in love, but they knew it could never work out. Out of it came Jade, Ponzo, and Eric. The three were inseparable, and they did everything together. Ponzo was the fierce one, and she was their leader. Jade and Eric just followed. The minute she was old enough, Jade hired herself a man to give her her own litter of pups. She was thrilled when they were born. Ponzo and Eric helped her raise them, and they saw them off when they were old enough to live on their own. It was then that Ponzo suggested they head out on their own. Eric and Jade agreed, naturally. They started their own pack. But before any wolves could join, Ponzo met Bone Gnawer lll, who was just as bold as her, and she decided to go off with him. That left Jade and Eric with no leader. They settled that they would find a new pack, ad soon enough they did. They settled down, and for years they were quite happy. Jade raised several litters of pups and watched them go, loving each of them. She lost many as well, and learned about loss. It was only years after they joined that Jade realized that Eric was involved in something he couldn't get out of. The Mafia. Pallidus the Shade was the leader, and he didn't let wolves leave. Well, Jade was pregnant, but she promised to hide Eric. And she did, too, but not well enough. He was tracked down, and she knew she couldn't protect him. She had her pups to think about. That memory still haunts him, of her brother dying. And now, years later, she's settled. Old as she is, she's finally giving up having pups. And she's met a nice man who she intends to mate, if the damn guy will just ask her.

Jade is a sweet, wise-cracking old lady who pinches little pups' cheeks and announces that she "likes her some fine ass" just the same. She adores pups, and knows how to handle them. She also spoils them rotten, though, so allow her to babysit at your own risk. She enjoys quotes, and sometimes uses these to hide her own emotions. She's had some trauma in her life, but always covers it up. She's easygoing and is generally well-liked by wolves she meets. She's also stern and can easily settle disputes. She puts her foot down. She's always upbeat, always spunky. She says that if she's going to die soon, she might as well have some fun while she's here.

Jade loves her pack very much, but she does have have favorites. She thinks Danny is just delightfully funny, and Zimski a sensible sort of wolf. CJ, meanwhile, is very serious, but that makes it so much more fun to try and get him to laugh. And Elliem, well, he's actually opened up to her, and she appreciates his sincerity. Not every salacious, suspicion-inducing old man will go ahead and admit it to a woman his age. She appreciates Hrabro's hard work, and thinks Quinn's deadpan is a hoot. She often finds herself annoyed by Regis and Hep, but just as often amused.

This is what Jade was brought in for. She derails conflicts, talks to wolves who are upset, and negotiates deals between members. She's excellent at this job, and there isn't a single wolf who she doesn't like. She's been focusing on Hep lately, as well as Regis and Elliem.

Pup Watching
She watches the pups while the others go out and hunt. This is usually left to Zimski, but she goes out on patrol a lot. Jade tends to spoil the pups, but she also plays games with them and gets into mischief with them. They all adore her. She's very good with pups, even better than Zimski.
