Do you know the struggles of being rejected? Of being special but not wanted? Painted was born and raised in the Vixen pack, her mother loved her unconditionally as a mother should. When Painted was just a pup, her mother took her out to adventure and discovered she had given birth to a boost, an elite speed boost. Painted was fast, faster than normal and anything but normal wasn’t accepted around there. Her mother, in fear of losing Painted, kept her with her at all times, no more adventures, no hunting lessons, nothing. When Painted was two, she snuck off from her mother who had fallen asleep. She had only planned to be gone for a few minutes, get a quick run in to stretch her legs and feel the wind on her fur. She only ran a short distance before smacking into the alpha of the pack, there was no doubt he knew of her boost now. Painted turned, running back for her mother who had already been seized by the lead warrior and beta, by now, the pack had gathered. Painted was shouting, howling, wailing, etc. She attempted everything she could think of at that time to save her mother but it was too late, with a swift bite to the neck from the beta, her mother went limp, the light leaving her eyes as she mouthed her final words to Painted. “I love you,” Painted wailed some more before backing up, the beta had turned his attention to her. “Death of one wolf for treason, for hiding a powerful being who intends to take over the pack. Shame we must kill another to protect the pack.” Cries of blood from fear resonated from the pack. Painted turned and did only what one could do in her situation. She ran. After days of running, only stopping for a quick drink from a river or lake, she finally came upon a small rogue camp. They took her in for a few months before she got bored and left, heading west towards the promise of a pack. Again, it was small and bored her. She left again, heading in the same direction as she prayed to the Moon Goddess to give her something to enjoy, though she ended up running into someone. “I’m so sorry!” she mumbled out, looking up. The male she ran into was definitely the size of an alpha. She bowed her head with respect and her life story became a tumbling mess out of her mouth. The male said nothing as he motioned with his head for her to follow. Since then, Painted had been a part of B R I G H T pack for over four months now with no intention to leave.
