"What do you think you're doing there, little one?" The voice was a soft rumble, friendly and full of good humour. The cub immediately stopped crying and looked up into golden eyes. Teeth picked him up, white as the stars in the dark blue sky above them. The cub did not even feel them. Soaked through and exhausted, he looked back to the ditch he nearly drowned in. Still scared to death, he pressed himself against the moonlight silver paws beside him.
"And what do you think you're doing there?", growled the huge wolf in a voice of thunder, baring his teeth at the three wolverines. Eos was loving and caring. And he brought death to those who were a thread.
