Biography - 123 Years Ago -
Fire -- that was all she could see. Red flames raging, twirling & dancing up the wood of the ancient house. Her house, her home...everything she'd ever known, ever knew, would now come to an end.
Tears streamed down her face, blurring her vision; not that it really mattered -- she was to late to save them, to late to do anything. She tried her hardest, to sway the fire, but nothing; her powers were useless against the flames -- if only, if only her gift of controling fire were as strong as her rage at the moment... she might just be able to save her family... but nope, their muffled screams bellowed into the cold night still, edging the little girl to break down further... until silence -- utter silence but there was nothing she could do -- trying now would've been useless and it would only cause her own soul to perish in the blazing house fire.
The chaos of the flames eventually died down to glowing embers; the remains of what she once called home. Little did she know this memory - of her parents death would haunt her forever... litterally forever. How funny that; one small mistake could cause one huge consequence.
If only she'd known...
The soft grass of the yard swayed slightly in the breeze. It had been hours since the building had ignited, had raged in a fiery chaos. The whispers in her head had then died down a little, allowing her to think clearly -- yet she had nothing to think about. Exept the one thing she refused to acknowledge existed -- her parent's death. The girl sniffled a little, and wiped her nose on her sleeve. She was utterly exhausted, yet she kept her eyelids open -- she knew if she fell asleep, she would dream...Or have a nightmare in this case.
More salty tears ran down her face as she ached for a distraction. Anything to end the silence of the cold night. She let her gaze wonder, to the stars littering the empty blackness of the sky. She traced the twinkling constelations with her icy blue orbs, naming each one from memory. She remembered back to just a few moons ago, when her Father lay beside her; pointing out the patterns in the stars. She then found her eyes searching for the moon...but there was no moon tonight -- a New Moon she realized. A New Moon for a new beginning -- what a coincidence. Time changed; yet the girl did not move from her spot. She waited...and waited... for Dawn to come, and just like she expected...it came with brilliance.
Warm tones of red, orange & yellow streched across the horrizon as dawn broke through; chasing away the darkness with renewed light. Shades of pink, oranges & a light blue caressed the sky, and birds could be heard flying with freedom through the early morning. The silence faded away into the sound of nature -- birds bellowing, crickets chirping & way out into the distance -- people talking. The sky got lighter...and lighter...and the stars drifted away, back to their spot in the galaxy; awaiting for dusk, waiting until the can show their presence once again. No...this wasn't right. It sky was....too light? The once golden sunshine turned slowly into a blistering white light, and the girl shielded her eyes with the crook of her elbow. Heat surrounded her body. Her skin felt like it was burning -- is this what it felt like? to be burnt alive? She closed her eyes, eager to be away from the pain...but her sweet escape was nowhere to be found. A shadow crossed the light before him -- the shadow of a black bird...
