Character Description
Biography
Faded Red (or Red) was born in the forest. He doesn't know much about his early puppy days, but because of his defect (not being able to blend in well where he was) his mother was killed trying to protect him from a bear. He was found by Blade who had taken him in and cared for him until he was 6 years old.
Everyone knew Red because Blade would walk him everyday and take him everywhere. He was loved by everyone (other than the people who was nervous that he was a wolf). Although the people would come up to pet him, Red would get nervous when people got close to Blade. He was the only other living soul he cared about. He wanted to protect him.
One day, Blade went out on a walk without Red and was gone for hours. He has never done this before. Red got nervous without his owner. He desperately tore the door trying to get out of the house.
He, frantically, ran through the house, knocking things over, and climbing on stuff to find a way out. Finally, in the kitchen above the sink, Red saw a window that was open, but had a screen in it. He jumped onto the counter, and made his way to the window. With one swipe of his paw, he ripped through the screen and could wriggle his way out.
He ran to the front yard, where his nose dove straight to the ground to find his best friend's scents. His nose was flowing with the scent of flowers, grass, and the animals and other people that were passing through. Finally, he caught the familiar scent of his owner, and started running towards it, his paws making the noise of a mini drum as he galloped along.
It was a long distance, but with every stride, the scent got a little stronger. He was running out of breath, but he didn't care. He wanted to be with Blade more than anything in the world. He was Red's life.
The scent led him to an alley behind a convenient store. There, Red saw his friend and a mysterious man. He crouched down and inched his way towards the 2 men to see what was going on.
The unknown man raised his hand. Red took it as a threat, and jumped at the man, locking his jaw on his arm. The man screamed in terror and pain. He tried yanking his arm out of Red's mouth, but it was just causing more pain. Blade ran to Red and grabbed his collar. He sternly yelled, "Drop it," and Red obediently put the man's arm down and turned to Blade.
The man got up and ran away. Blade took Red home. Not too much later, the police showed up at their door. Because of Red's incident, it caused an uproar of fear, so with no other option, Blade would have to let Red go.
For hours, Blade and Red sat in the bedroom, spending their last hours together. Blade looked into Red's eyes, with tears rolling down his face. Red whimpered at the thought that he would never see his friend again.
Blade rode with Red on a 10 hour journey to his forever home in a protected forest, where he would be safe from hunters. Their last goodbye tore them both apart.
As the vehicle drove off with his life in it, Red bolted after it. He ran and ran until the vehicle was no longer in sight. He dropped to the ground with exhaustion and depression. This was the hardest thing that had ever happened to him.
When Red finally got up, he started walking. He would only stop for food, water, and to rest. He didn't bother the other wolves or animals. He planned on walking until he could find Blade, or a comfort that was damn near close to it. Every night, Red would howl a echoing song, in hopes that Blade would hear it and return to him.
