Biography
Balto was born into a normal pack where he lived with his parents and siblings. He had a fairly normal upbringing with his parents being the alphas of the pack, although they did take in a couple of lone wolves, figuring that it would be easier to both protect their pups and hunt enough food to sustain them with more adult wolves in the pack. When he was about a year and a half old, his parents decided that it was in their best interest to leave the pack with their offspring due to some of the lone wolves whom they had taken in, some of which were becoming more aggressive and power hungry, and, seeing as how their offspring were now old enough to be able to hunt with them there was no reason why they couldn't leave. After wandering for a couple of weeks, they came across an old abandoned den near a river as well as an area which local elk herds visited regularly where they stayed for the next few months. When Balto and his siblings turned 2, they were attacked by a bear which caused them to be separated. Blaming himself for what had happened, he began to attempt to chase off any bear which he saw, despite being on his own now. In fact, this is what ultimately caused him to meet Lady as he was injured one day when he was attempting to chase off a bear not long before she came across him and helped him to hunt and survive whilst he recovered. At first, Balto was reluctant to accept her help although he quickly began to come around to the idea, figuring that he didn't have much of a choice, plus, he was beginning to develop a crush on her. When they first became mates, he was quite shy and awkward about this but he eventually became more comfortable with showing a softer side to his personality and the two of them are now very close.

Balto tends to be a brave, adventurous and hard-working wolf who cares deeply about the ones that he's close to, especially when it comes to his mate (Lady White Fang) an their pups. On top of this he is dutiful and can become immensely devoted to a cause which he believes in as well as being adaptable and stubborn. He is also competitive by nature which can also cause him to work hard in order to achieve his goals and makes him highly dedicated once he sets his mind to something. He can also be sociable, gentle and considerate, especially when he is around Lady and he is also extremely loyal and protective over his family. When he is around his family he tends to be more playful as well as being honest, enthusiastic although he can be somewhat reserved, sympathetic, passionate and reliable. He also has a number of other qualities which make him a good alpha seeing as he is intelligent, sympathetic and modest, especially when around his family members. At times he can also be independent, resourceful and emotional although he only really shows the latter when he is with Lady. In-spite of all of this it is not far from the truth to call him emotionally driven, often blaming himself for bad things that may happen to his family despite having no control over the situation and his sense of responsibility often causes him to take actions to prevent anything similar for happening again.
