Character Description
Biography
Stumbling around the den, the small pup whined pitifully as she fell over yet again. That tiny pup was Asha- clumsy on her paws and the runt of her litter. Infact, she was probably the runt of every pup that had been born that year.

Watching her from afar was a large, broad male, the Alpha of the pack. He ruled with an iron paw and a stone heart, only caring for the strongest wolves, casting the weak, ill and elderly aside as useless. Many called him cruel, but he deemed his actions to be moral- he was keeping his pack strong, as he was a firm believer in 'the group is only as strong as it's weakest member'.
He just wanted them to survive.
He narrowed his eyes at the pup and sighed. Asha's mother eyed him curiously, dipping her head respectfully as he approached her, a stern expression present on his face.
Without saying a word, he picked up Asha and started back to the entrance of the den. The pup squealed with surprise, and her mother's ears lowered. She knew exactly what was happening.
"W-where are you--" the fae stuttered, beginning to rise to her paws, her maw curling down into a hurt frown.
The alpha put down the pup temporarily, keeping her tiny form in place with a single paw.
"You know what will happen to her, we cannot keep her," the brute growled lowly, bold, blunt and decisive with his words. "She will wither away to nothing."
Tears brimmed in the eyes of Asha's mother. Despite the Alpha having seemingly good intentions, he was a cruel leader; he would beat and maul those who stepped too far out of line. It had nearly happened to her once.
Her gaze trailed to the ground and she sat in silence, barely managing to watch him leave before she began to silently sob. Her body trembled with fear and she felt overwhelmed. There was nothing she could do to save her pup. She was too weak to defend her.
She felt like a failure.
But she suffered in silence.

The alpha placed the struggling pup down near the entrance, glaring at her with malice. Baring his fangs, he let out a warning snarl.
"Leave this place," he ordered Asha, who was now cowering with fright. "And never return."
Other wolves in the pack had begun to peer over, some looking concerned, others curious. The tiny fae was frozen.
"I said leave!" the brute roared, stepping forwards and lunging his head towards Asha, his ivory teeth and sharpened silver claws glistening in the sunlight, his shadow looming over her menacingly.
With a jolt, Asha let out a startled yelp before scrambling to her paws, turning and dashing away into the forest.
From a nearby den - the nursery, as such - the runt's mother had been watching, a paw placed over her maw to retain her silence. As she bore witness to her frightened pup flee into the woodland, she collapsed to the ground, placing her paws over her head with grief. She was gone.

Asha ran for a short while, but her tiny legs couldn't carry her very far. With tears of strain escaping her heterochromatic eyes, and her maw hanging open as she panted heavily, she slowed to a stumble. All of her muscles screamed as an aching pain seared through her legs. Asha clamped her eyes shut, gritting her teeth as she moved forwards. However, she didn't notice the rock directly infront of her feet - her paw collided with it and she barked with surprise, tripping over the object and rolling forwards in a tangle of scruffy fur and limbs. The tiny pup forcefully hit a tree. Her mind was hazy, and her vision began to go black, before her conscious slipped and faded away; she passed out.

When the pup had woken up, she felt another presence towering over her, something clearly bigger than her. A gasp escaped her tightened throat as she struggled, twisting onto her back to see a beautiful fae. Her pelt was adorned with many colours - black, red, siler and ochre; her fur shone under the rays of the midday sun, causing Asha to squint slightly, fear shining in her blue-green eyes.
The older female's ears lowered. She felt pity for the tiny runt tug at her heart. With a soft smile, she nuzzled the pup with her nose, before gently picking her up by the scruff.
Nadie slowly carried Asha back to her own territory, laying her down with the other pups as soon as she got to her den. Warmth enveloped Asha as she was suddenly surrounded by other pups and their mother, her underbelly radiating a comforting warmth. A small smile crossed Asha's muzzle as other wolves began to crowd around the entrance to the den, yipping soft greetings at her. Nadie was quick to shoo them away, but Asha felt wanted, loved and welcomed; she was truly at home.
Nadie approached calmly, laying down next to the group of squirming puppies to lick Asha affectionately, cleaning her fur like her mother would. The tiny
