Every single night you would trot out into that quiet clearing and just dreamily gaze up at that silver moon in the sky. But what you don't know is how much connection you had to the moonlight. How Clover and Harebell would whisper to their pups that you used to have medium gray fur that was painted silver by the moon. How all the explorers knew that they had the blessing of the night with them during expeditions, and the fact that they were right. I'm sorry you had to be the one. |

It was hard, wasn't it? Being hated by everyone in the pack that you strived to help. I'm sorry that it had to be that way, having teeth and claws to fight but no heart to love. The hardships you faced while you were a lone wolf taught you well, and watching all of the other wolves eventually die... it changed you. But the others didn't see that side of you, the side that would do anything to protect what you have loved and lost. I'm sorry. I wish the world weren't so cruel on you. |

You were the daughter of the beginning, and the mother of the rest.You were the one who, time and time again, simply could not watch your fellow packmates face the danger alone. The scars you bear are a true testament of that. You always condemned yourself for being weak and for being unable to truly defend anyone. To say that you felt you were at blame for Carnation's death wouldn't be far from the truth... but grief doesn't make you weak, Harebell. It makes you... you. |

It was then revealed that your hidden chronic illness had killed your offspring. Osprey sacrificed himself finding the herb to cure you while you were pregnant with your second litter. He succeeded, but at what cost? A cost great enough for you to become a mother again before death. |
