Eden I feel that. It's draining as hell- and it hurts us in the long-run. Even if they were that way before, it gets worse with time. It sucks, i feel ya 100%. If you want to be around them, then patience and silence is the only way you will be able to get through the tough times with tme. If it's taking too much of a toll on your mental health though, you still have the choice to sperate from them. If that's what you choose to do, then make sure to push your parents or whoever is taking care of her to be kinder and more patient. At the end of the day, if you love your grandmother, then you'll understand that she's just trying to feel like her old self. It's not right waht she's doing to you, but it's common once someone forgets their daily routine and even the names of their loved ones. I feel ya fr. if you need some1 to talk to, lmk. I come with no judgement, only facts and advice :)

I have taken care of patients with demetia in my line of work. It's hard to see them get deeper and deeper in ther forgetfulness. The only thing you can do is be present, loving, and patient.

Eden Dementia is tough to deal with- it definetly requires a LOT of patience. It's depressing sometimes to see your grandmother like that, but it's NECCESSARY to be understanding and kind. She thinks she knows a lot, and that's because she's coping with her memory loss. It's becomes worse and worse- there is no cure. The best thing you can do is show her that somebody cares, and that she is not alone. Gentle explainations work- don't tell her that what she thinks is wrong. Just try to give her a new perspective to think about while she is able to remeber. Honestly, try to put yourself in her shoes. It's cheesy to say, but she is struggling far more than anyone around her is even aware.

Things with family can be shitty sometimes, I feel ya 100%. I've been in foster care all my life. I truly feel ya. Always try before you figure out a plan by yourself.

Eden Is Muffin a pup? If so, it just takes time and experience to see what they are up to. Sometimes they do have anxiety issues involved with being around a lot of people, or being in certain places. If that's not the case, then make it known! Communicate with your family, and let them know that your pet needs to experience certain things before it it certain that they can't do those things. Always make sure before you assume :)
