| VF yes that makes a lot of sense! lots of native people today have significant amounts of european heritage as well. french is definitely a common one because of french influence on the fur trade. i'm mostly irish and eastern band cherokee, but i've got some french in there as well lol. all that being said, a lot of nations and tribes are moving away from the idea of keeping such close track of one's heritage because of the sheer amount of natives with mixed heritage. nations with strict blood quantum rules (for example, all members have to be at least 1/4th) have experienced dramatic population decreases because of these rules. i can't speak for the ojibwe, but i only had to prove that i had a documented native ancestor to enroll in my tribe |

| Honey I don't know too much about indigenous cultures, but I do know that each one is different from the other-- so it's hard to keep up and remember everything A little off topic, but I personally don't know much about my heritance-- but I have been told that I am french mixed with indigenous, which would make sense considering history |
