One of my favorite bands has been Citizen Soldier, they do alot of music like that and it's not hard rock, it's kind of like Skillet but they also have alot of soft songs too. I'd recommend the Down The Rabbit Hole album. But also Stronger Than My Storm by Citizen Soldier. Like I said, they have alot of music that calls out to people with depression and just need something to relate to, they do a good job of naming their songs so if there's something you're looking for, you'd be able to pretty easily find it. <3

If you haven't already gotten the suggestion; the band Half Alive is a FAVORITE christian band of mine! they have pretty good songs :3

I don't have a lot of suggestions for songs with lyrics, but if you like instrumental/piano, then some of the artists I listen to on occasion are Helen Jane Long, Brian Crane, Michelle McLaughlin, and Paul Cardall. I think only Cardall has explicitly religious music, but the others have the same sort of feel to them, I think

Soul Worth Saving by Apollo LTD and Get Back Up by TobyMac are some of my favorites, they've helped me a lot when I'm feeling down

I recommend a band called Newsboys

I am having surgery Monday and am putting a playlist together with songs that have messages like it's going to be okay', 'it's a bad day, not a bad life', 'it will get better' and so on. If you know of any good songs with these messages and similar ones, could you please message me or post here?
