Unlike the somewhat constant movement in the eagle room, here you see only sleeping owls. You wonder if there's any way that they know of changing time this deep in the cave. Backpack: 4/5 (falconry equipment, ring, machete, rabbit bait [3/3]) Boat: 6/10 (hunter's guide, boat lantern, cage, seed container [1/3], binoculars, notes) Choose one of the following actions: Use item: Rabbit bait is currently usable. You may use one item unless it must be used with another item, such as the cage must be used with bait. Move: south, east, west are open. You may move in one of these directions. Exchange items from boat to backpack or vice versa: You may switch items between your backpack and the boat, because you have a boat lantern and can find your way back. Return to boat following lantern: return to and stayat your boat, unlike the previous option which returns you to your current square. Discard items: You may discard any item. Midnight The plants also indicate what color birds will be in an area. So, if you're wanting to catch a red bird, you'd put out bait when there's red plants around for it to camouflage with. Also, if you have your own colored plant it's more effective at making any bird you catch that color if there's already other plants of that color around.

Midnight The binoculars let you see what species of birds are in the biome that you're in. You can use it as many times as you like, but it really only matters once per biome (not once per space) unless you forget. You continue through the forest, past large patches of dangling moss. You see green, purple, red, and blue plants. Dawn You place a rabbit on the ground in front of you and all the sleeping birds perk up. They're suddenly gathered around you, hissing and fighting over the morsel. Eventually, a sort of cyan colored owl pushes its way through and grabs the rabbit, swallowing it. It comes closer to you and puffs out it's feathers. The others back down. Congratulations! You have captured a cave owl!
