You quickly and carefully take just a few insects out of the container. Not even a minute later, something hops out of the bush. At first, you only notice the grass move, then you finally spot the tiny kangaroo-like rodent snacking on a fallen bug.

You set the bait down and slowly step back. Once the wolf sees you back off, it comes out of the water and slowly slinks closer to the bait. It only begins to eat after seeing you haven't moved.

You slowly crouch down to inspect the little hopping rodent. It appears to be a whiteish-grey jerboa female with some light and dark marks. It doesn't look like it is meant to be in this environment.

You play with the young wolf a little, watching as it snaps at the stick and pounces. After it finally snatches the stick away and snaps it, the wolf jumps at you next with gentle bites and playful sounds. It really seems to like you!
