“How the tables have turned,” Rory growled.

Vincent hummed, tilting his head away from the blade. “What are you waiting for? Kill me, then.”

A sudden sharp pain on his back made Rory gasp. His eyes widened. He had completely forgotten the fact that the other was still armed. The tip of a blade was now pressed against his backside, lightly piercing his skin.

They were at each other’s mercy.

Vincent gave a crude smirk. “You don’t have the guts.”

“Seems you don’t, either,” Rory answered, hands shaking but keeping the knife in position.

“Oh? Do you know how many men I’ve killed, just like this?”

Rory scowled, his fingers tightening around the handle. “If you wanted me dead, you’d have done it already. I hardly think you’re one for stalling your kills.”

The man below him clicked his tongue. “Would you blame a wolf for toying with its prey?”

but hey i'm so happy to come back and see your cool as heck art! along with the writing too! gosh the tension between rory and vincent there- the dialogue gives a lot of background and buildup too. that small moment really shows how the two of them show up and outsmart each other. i love both writing and art so that was very exciting to see :D
