Hi! So I got a new art tablet! yay! I want to practice with it so please give me characters to try and draw :3 they might be poorly done so fair warning! whether I do fully body, backgrounds, ect. Is up to me. This is purely for practice which is why it's free! If you like the art though feel free to pm me for commissions :) They'll take priority over the free stuff. Omg. Would you do bug OCs?? I have a bunch of mantises that need to be drawn, a family picture would be nice but no worries just draw whoever resonates with you. This is Rascal. She is an adult female Chinese mantis (Tenodera sinensis), she's always been a spicy gal from birth. The other nymphs freaked out in their cups when we picked them up at the expo, but Rascal stick-bugged us in defiance which is why we selected her. She is named as such because IMMEDIATELY after purchasing she jammed herself between the tissue and the lid then attempted to escape when I tried to free her. She was an angel once she got home until her second last instar in which she started to get spicy and hated being picked up. She would get into threat poses and attempt to bite me when I tried to pick her up!! Then she crippled herself in her last molt like an idiot despite having no complications otherwise. She learned how to climb and walk around regardless, self amputated to make her life easier, so I highly respect her. She is highly beloved by my dad who was initially against my mantis army, but now he eats breakfast and watches hockey games with Rascal. herhttps://s14.gifyu.com/images/bNa1G.png https://s14.gifyu.com/images/bNa1A.jpg https://s14.gifyu.com/images/bNa1O.jpg https://s14.gifyu.com/images/bNa1y.jpg https://s14.gifyu.com/images/bNa1B.jpg https://s14.gifyu.com/images/bNaAz.png https://s14.gifyu.com/images/bNaAS.png https://s14.gifyu.com/images/bNaAb.png Since these pictures were taken, she's lost her frontal raptorial tarsi (the little feet that are attached to the front mantis claws), the rest of her back leg so it's just the first segment, and the foot of her left front leg.
