He was a natural born vampire to two Hypnosis Vampires. His mother was a darling creature while his father was very questionable to say the least. His mother died by the hands of a Hunted and his father went on a rampage and became cruel and desolate. He moved to a large manor and began turning humans in childe's , and started making them fight for the right to take his Archduke title. This lead to jealousy and anger from Tatsuya who had to deal with these new "brothers" and "sisters" , after all he was the only legitimate child amongst them and they were fighting for what was rightfully his.

Any childe that wasn't "perfect" or up to his father's standards were killed in front of the rest as motivation to better. It's the reason that Tatsuya is such a perfectionist and so skilled in many things. He soon became the "favored" child, which led to much jealousy from the others ; led to them bullying, isolating, and harming him. They've killed him a total of 9 times in the cruelest ways before collecting his ashes and reviving him. When his father found out he was 140 by then , and the rest of the childe's were exterminated and his father chose him to be his successor. And he was content. However, this didn't stop the emotion abuse/neglect and physical abuse ; anytime he wasn't perfect he was punished until he learned how to be perfect. And that's why he's such a well-manned and composed person, he likes that about him but he hates when people comment on it.

And on his 200th birthday his dad tries to kill them together in a double suicide ; however Tatsuya escapes, and is now archduke since he also managed to salvage the documentation of his parentage and ranking. And while his manor was burning down and he was in shock : he met Vivienne & Isolabella that are like big sisters to him.
