I have yet another question, in this world do computers/phones/tv/electronics exist or have they not gotten that far technologically or do they have such things but chose not to really use them, or are they apart of everyday life?

They have these things, yes. But the school is hidden deep within some mountains and forests, kept hidden from most of the world by an invisibility field. So while they have modern items and technology, wifi isn't the easiest thing to get when they're so far out. But to put it simply; yes they have them, but only use them for certain things.
