I love that so much especially since Ethan would totally try to say that Cal, Aries, and Axel like each other while Cal would try to say Tyler likes Ethan and what not and then Evie is just listening in and getting all the tea :3

Anywho, how do y'all develop your new characters? Outside of actually writing with them

I just think of their personality and what could have caused them to act that way. Are they hiding something with their smile lashing out at a world that they thinks hates them etc? I also tend to make scars first and think of how they got them after. :)

Something that helps me a lot is figuring out/adding onto their backstory so that it gives me more ideas as to why the character acts the way they do, kind of like what Dete said, and that's part of why my characters backstorys are constantly growing and changing. I have the base that I keep, then grow it out so I kind of have a test run of 'oh, that seems like the best response for that character in that situation.' It can also help to just bullet point mini ideas or characteristics for that character, then just apply them as you go. I do that sometimes too.

Okay, so relationship wise, any ideas with who'll make the first move(s)? I have some ideas, but I want to hear what you all think before I start ranting again.

Jeez, y'all piling on the expectations. Sorry for not posting too much, my hands are recovering from four hours of essay exams. My hands have recoverd however, and I can actually hold things again! Woot! And Flower, I usually develop my characters by thinking of the scenarios they're going to be getting into and the personalities of other characters already planned, and then add on more details as everything else gets fleshed out. For example, Tyler was originally going to be an accidental asshole, not intending to be a jerk but also not caring about it, but then Angst Overload101 over there slammed that idea into the curb. Another example was this old apocalypse RP where I smashed a Bond-style villain with crackish comic relief and accidentally created the most terrifying antagonist ever. He was originally meant to be a joke character that occasionally drove some events forwards to keep the thread going. Instead, he ended up becoming the final boss fielding an army of the ressurected dead in order to capture the last standing skyscraper in a ruined city, all to find a space shuttle he believed still existed underneath this building to conquer the moon. The problem was that, to be able to launch the most assuredly real spaceship, he needed to erradicate the remaining human population of the same city to find the launch codes. Gods, that was a trip to RP.

For ACA (Aries, Cal, and Axel) I think Cal would catch the feels for Aries in one of multiple ways (I have sooooo many different scenarios) and then go to Axel for help and uh-oh! More feels!! Cal would probably awkwardly try to confess to Aries first or ask Axel to do it for him. (which causes more feels for the both of them yayyyyy!)
But that is just my idea. Not sure how accurate it would be though.

As Flower said, I think our poly relationship over here would all be very close and everyone knows there dating but them. Suprisingly, I think Axel's gonna be the one to pull the first move for the three of them. You see, when Axel feels very confident and close to people he starts to become a more motherly figure, fussing over them all the time and trying to keept them out of trouble. I feel like Aries would be too self-deprecating and lacking confidence to ask the other two out or anything, and Cal would be (no offense) be too awkward and also lacking the confidence to ask them out, so Axel finally gives up and, very shyly, asks them awkwardly if maybe, please, maybe, they could go out with him/be their boyfriend?

With E and Tyler. Tyler is for sure gonna make the first move, because my mute bean is to scared to do anything, and, the sad truth is, because of Val, Ethan doesn't actually know what love should feel like because what Val told him/convinced him was love was actually manipulation.

Leroy and Nabih! Oh boy do I have ideas! (I'm gonna PM Overthink before I actually do anything, of course, and it's gonna be later in the RP) So, these two, I feel like are going to be an obvious couple that never becomes 'official,' yet everyone knows that they're together. If I'm right in my ideas, Leroy will make the first move. That is all I will say for now. :)

Tyler will totally just assume he and Ethan are dating at some point, while E has absolutely no idea that he's somehow managed to accidentaly-on-purpose begin animal-dating somebody by... I dunno, passing TJ a bowl of cereal? Damnit, now I need to write that. hERE YA GO!

The Alabama Fried Chicken joint was pretty packed, but they were still able to find a seat. Lucky! Nabih had taken all their orders up to the counter, and now they were just waiting to be called up to grab it. "Number 84! 84!" "Oh, hey, that's ours!" Ethan jackrabbits up and grabs Axel's arm, dragging him up to the window. Tyler looks around, checking for any threats. It had just been announced on the news that there had been a string of credit card thefts in the city, so the police would be on the lookout. Since they were the culprits, it would be best to be on guard. Ethan bounched back to the table, balancing two trays on his arms, Axel behind him with another pair. Ethan dropped one in front of Nabih and Leroy, while Axel left one before Cal and sat with the other. Ethan siddled into the space on the booth next to him, and deposited the tray on the table in front of them. Tyler grabbed a biscuit and began tearing the soft butter-bread mixture apart with his teeth. There was three other buscuits, a pair of chicken breasts, and a bucket of wings, drumsticks, & thighs. Greasy goodness had saturated the paper on the tray, and Tyler just knew that there would be grease stains on the motel when they got back. As everyone dug into the fast food, Leroy not-so-subtly reached out to snag the remaining breast, but had the piece of chicken knocked out of his hand and back into the bucket by Ethan with an almost-playful growl. Tyler just kind of blinks. Ethan actually? Huh. Okay. Sweet! He drags the plastic tray towards their section of the table and kind of half-leans on Ethan as he continues eating. Our chicken, jackass, is the message Tyler shoots at Leroy with his eyes.
