Not a rant, but I've very recently learned the importance of having a solid quote when the character sheet starts. It's like opening a doorway into what somebody is getting into. Edited at July 10, 2020 06:30 PM by Pudding Cup

Ooh, this is something I actually disagree with. I don't like the quotes. Maybe because most of the ones I've seen have been, for lack of a better word, cringey. Mmm, true. I normally try to go for lines that my character would say, or think so anyway. Though I'll keep in mind now if something sounds cringey. I kind of want quotes and I have some, but only on my characters which aren't on WP D:

I like the concept of a favorite quote, but for some reason I can't stand them right up at the top there. Actually, I just prefer them to be smaller. Why are they always so gigantic? If they were smaller, I think I could stand them.

I only add quotes on character sheets i make for my stories, not for RPs. However, cringey quotes are quite useful, as they warn you of who you're about to be RPing with. Those edgey ones are a big red flag
