This is not necessarily true...
Of course, when you breed any two coats, those are the coats that the pups are most likely to have. If I breed two dalmatian coats, Im probably not going to get blue tweed. Its possible though. Its all random.
So, if I breed my dalmatian female too, say, a Time male, I first have the chance of a Dalmatian coat. That is probably what Im going to get because it has the highest chance. However, there is also a chance of getting a Time. This chance is very slight, but its there. And finally, in this breeding with my Dalmation female and a Time male, theres the chance of a different coat. It might be Fall, it might be Ochre.
So, pretty much, if I breed a female to a dynamic male, the highest chance out of the dynamic coats that the pups would get is the color of the male that I bred to. However, just because I bred to a Fall male, doesn't mean that the chance for a Winter has decreased, only that the chance for a Fall has increased.
