Application Form

1.) Follow all of Eve's rules.

2.) No Mary/Gary Sues, Weeping Willows, etc etc... Yes, most of these characters will have sad or even devastating backgrounds but that is the fact. No singular wolf should hold the weight of the world on their shoulders.

3.) While this is a rather dark roleplay, keep everything PG-13. Gore is allowed, so long as its not too descriptive but please fade anything sexual to black or skip over it entirely.

4.) All reservations last 48 hours. 12 hour extension periods will only be given if asked for.

5.) Respect me and the rest of your fellow roleplayers. It can and will cost you to be kicked from the roleplay if not done. Remember that I have the right to accept or deny character forms as I see fit.

6.) I would like this to be a somewhat active roleplay, I expect at least two posts from you each week. I understand writers block and please contact me if you are going on some sort of vacation or you won't be on for a few days. If you don't post on the forum for a week, you will be removed from the roleplay. That being said, I expect a 300+ word count from everyone joining.

7.) I fully support the LGBTQ+ community, by for the sake of this roleplay, MxF pairings are the only ones allowed, these are wolves.

8.) This is not a 1x1 roleplay, so make sure to include everyone, I shouldn't see two people in a back and forth conversation for half of the page.

9.) Keep in mind the basics of nature, please. Females will not be stronger than males, with a few exceptions. Males will no be more agile than females, with a few exceptions.

10.) You are allowed up to 2 characters. Only one high role, please! If you have read all of these rules, put your favorite color in Other.

Pack Rules:

1.) The Overseer's word is law. Break it and suffer the consequences.

2.) If a Loner is found in the Pack's territory, ask them if they are looking to join. If so, bring them to the eyes of the Overseer, who will decide if they may join. If not, you are ordered to chase them off.

3.) Protect pups with your life. They are the next generation. If you have been placed in charge of a pup or pups for a period if time, understand that you are to give your life be for letting them injure themselves or go missing.

4.) Any pack wolf hinting at symptoms of The Disease are to be reported to either the Overseer or an Enforcer. They will deal with it from there.

5.) Relations outside the pack are forbidden. Safety and the possibility of taking on an Infected litter or Loner poses a great threat.

6.) Pups and Juveniles are to be brought up well and obey adults for their own safety and the safety of others.

The Virus:

Its been a good long while since the outbreak, exactly 43 years when the roleplay starts. Humans never stood a chance when a large, nuclear powerplant imploded - sending radiation that did horrid things to both flora and fauna. Humans are extinct. Most creatures died along with them or became infected, but others found shelter... The danger still lurked outside.

• Becoming Infected...

As most animals died off with the sheer amount of radiation in the air, the survivors were not infected due to bites until later. Surviving herbavores needed food - plants - and that meant ingesting the radiation/infection-filled earth. They became infected, and spread the virus by one; dying and becoming food for carnivorous survivors, or two, biting others.

• The Cure

There is none. No one has survived long enough to properly take the time to create one.

• The Symptoms

In chronological order...

1.) Compulsive Weariness, often showing itself as the weakness of the infected creature. Their bones and body systems will slowly start decaying, making them prone to other diseases and fragile body structures. Starts showing itself three to four days after eating or being bitten by an infectant.

2.) Titchy Movements, almost resemblant of a mild seizure. They will have a difficult time sitting still and will speak quicker and more frantically. This adds itself to the weariness a weak or so after being infected.

3.) Boils, or foul-smelling skin - as if the creature is rotting from the inside out. For the boils, its common to see them appear on the feet/paws of the animal, their jaws, and under their eyes. This symptom commonly takes place two to three weaks after becoming infected.

4.) Unconscious Consciousness, almost like they're in a coma. They will loose their ability to speak or react to things voluntarily and will increasingly become brain-dead.

5.) Uncontrollable Violence and Aggression, this seems to be the only reacting emotion others are able to elicit from the spoken infected. They become unpredictable in this nature and often need to be kept in a secure place, if they havent been killed off already. This is the last symptom before the Virus completely overirdes their bodies and kills them.

Rank Descriptions:

The Overseer - The leader of the pack. They make the important decisions of the pack, most commonly being whether or not to kill off an infected individual or to let a loner join. They make sure that the pack is running smoothly relationship-wise and food wise, sending an okay to patrols and hunting excursions is important to their role as well. This role can be challenged.

Enforcer - The second-in-command to the packs leader. This individual is moreso military and safety focused when it comes to the pack. They are in charge of appointing new Heads and making sure the packs borders are well taken cared off. They handle more of the dirty work; picking off infected's and such. This role is chosen by the Overseer and therefore cannot be challenged unless a new Overseer takes the current ones place.

Mender - The packs healer, their shaman, their medicine-wolf. This wolf was originally in charge of clearing up minor-mediocre illness's in the pack before the Virus hit... now their main focus is to study a cure. If there is any. They are in charge of the care of the packs infected, keeping a good eye over them until things get too violent and they need to call in the Enforcer. This rank cannot be challenged.

Menders Assitant - The mender in training. This wolf does not have to be as young as say, an Juvinile - but its better to start off younger as the Menders are often the ones to become infected first, if they havent trained as much. This wolf helps wherever help is needed Mender-wise.

Head Trooper - The head fighter or warrior of the pack. This individual works with the Enforcer to make sure the pack is safe. They are in charge of the setting up of patrols and running them by the Overseer to approve them. They don't nessecarily have to be the strongest wolf in the pack but they must have a good grasp as to how safety is to come to be and what the Troopers must do to ensure that. This role can be challenged.

Head Supplier - The head hunter and gatherer. This wolf does not leave camp as regularly as one may think. They are in charge of taking notes as to what the pack needs and when they need it, whether that be food, herbs for the packs Mender, or even new bedding to the rest of the pack - they make it happen. While rare for this wolf to go out hunting, its not foreign. They often gather the other Suppliers though and send them out. This role can be challenged.

Troopers - The packs warriors. They spend most of their time training themselves, as well as the Juviniles they will be assigned to teach, and patrolling the territory as well. Their main source of alleigance is either to the pack Overseer, but more commonly the Head Trooper. Think military when you come across these individuals. This role cannot be challenged.

Suppliers - The gatherers and hunters of the pack. They are led by both the Head Supplier - where they usually get their directories from - and their packs Overseer. These wolves, along with the Troopers, make up most of the packs members. This role cannot be challenged, as Juvaniles have the option to choose to intigrate into the pack as either a Trooper, Supplier, or Menders Assistant when they come of age.

Unranked - The wolves of the pack who either have not yet earned a rank because they've just joined the pack, or because the individual is taking a break, for example; a pregnant female. Elders and infected wolves also fit into this category, as they don't have to do much or physically cannot do anything to benifit the pack just yet.

Juvaniles - The youngsters of the pack who age between 1-2 years old. They are either in training or getting ready to apply to begin their training. These wolves have the ability to train as Suppliers, Troopers (the more common of the two), or a Menders Assistant. They can then move up from those rankings throughout their lifetime if that is what they are reaching for.

Pups - The littles. For the sake of this roleplay, pups will age between 3-11 months before they are counted as Juvaniles. They are to be protected at all times as they are the packs future. All pups must have a dame and a sire, orphaned pups would not survive a moment in this world.
