[ plot ] The Muller gang has moved into Moss Pointe, a fresh, new town started with the turn of the industrial revolution. Though the town was just erected, many of the townsfolk come from richer counties and cities, having heard that Moss Pointe will be the new face of the future. However, a gang, named the O’Conners, already has control over Moss Pointe and was there when it was first branded, is not so keen on sharing their land with the Muller gang. ————— ୨୧ ————— [ the muller gang ] The Mullers are a nomadic group, constantly traveling to avoid the law and rival gangs. They’re known for their adaptability to new situations, being able to blend in with townsfolk, and overall, being an intelligent and intuitive group. They make most of their money off of hunting and selling furs. Some of the gang members will set up booths or stalls to sell whatever they forage or hunt. The Muller gang is poorer than others, always scraping by with whatever they have. Unlike other gangs, their group is made up mostly of men since in this era, women are usually tied to the home and are unable to travel. This does not mean, however, that you are completely barred from making female characters for the Muller gang. ————— ୨୧ ————— [ the o’conner gang ] The O’Conners are native to Moss Pointe, and feel very territorial over the town. Unlike the Muller gang, they rarely travel, and stay stationed at Moss Pointee. They’re known for their creativity and skill, having built a handful of the buildings in town. They’re generous, easy-going (unless it’s with the Muller gang), and have many ties with important people in town. They make their money through doing jobs, but on some occasions, they have their outlaw ways and may hijack a train or steal from another town. Don’t be fooled by their kindness, the O’Conners are likely to take advantage of your trust and use it to their advantage. They’re cunning, fox-like, and love to rassle. Like other gangs, they are made up of a diverse group of people with different backstories. ————— ୨୧ ————— [ the moss pointe townsfolk ] The townsfolk in Moss Pointee are not so keen with outsiders. They trust the O’Conner gang (somewhat) much more than the Muller gang. They have jobs in town, or sometimes mess around with the gangs. The Moss Pointee townsfolk are more likely to be on the richer side, probably having come from some expensive background. Feel free to make a townsfolk of any job! |

Personality
Sabyl has always carried the illusion of a trustworthy and wise woman. She always delivers her advice with unquestionable confidence and a warm smile. You can ask her almost anything, and within moments, she will have an answer that makes near perfect sense. Philosophical questions have always been dismissed with a quick explanation or opinion, and then her quickly telling you to stop troubling your mind with those thoughts.
This is, as said before, an illusion. She is the most unorganized, paranoid, and contradictory person you will ever come across, she simply has a weird way of showing it that tricks you into thinking otherwise. Every month all of her opinions and worldview seem to completely rebuild themselves. If you compared Sabyl with the Sabyl you spoke to 6 months ago, you may be surprised to find her whole personality has shifted. And not just a little natural change, but an entire switch. This happens constantly. She is not doing it on purpose to manipulate people. It's all a product of her rabid overthinking being covered up by a calm exterior.
Sabyl openly mocks religion, and has the time of her life ragging on it. However, when she's afraid for her life, her hand will fly to the cross on her necklace and she will whisper something over and over again under her breath. In her belongings, there are nun garments from her past life. And if you've heard about Sabyl Chaney and who she is, you'd know that she was the nun who was rumored to speak to God.
She does not believe in God anymore, at least she doesn't think so. All that remains is the religious guilt. She constantly swings back and forth from having morals that align perfectly with the Ten Commandments to falling back and saying morals don't matter to her. When she is going through her periodic morals phase, she is stubborn as a mule, and you cannot sway her back. She has to overthink herself back into having none. This has caused for some dramatic fights to get even worse when she's suddenly, frantically trying to find a non-fatal solution.
Sabyl is horrified of dying. The moment someone acts threatening towards her, she has a hand hovering over where one of those hidden weapons of hers are. Even though she's scared of what lies beyond, she has a reputation for getting very aggressive very quickly when someone acts aggressively to her first. For someone so scared, she has a lot of bullets wasted on someone else's life. She carries a journal on her where she marks down a little line whenever she kills someone, so that way she can keep track and feel guilty for all those lives taken. Sabyl has never killed for the hell of it; it's all been in self-defense.
Sabyl adores candy and will instantly be your best friend if you give her some. One of the only things that remains stable in the constantly shifting world of her mind is her love for caramel and chocolate.
She also thoroughly enjoys card games, though in all honestly she barely knows how to play. She just goes off her extremely basic knowledge and bullshits it from there. As someone who was sheltered from this world for a long time, Sabyl feels like she's being a terrible evil outlaw whenever she's playing cards and drinking anything that isn't water, and she loves it. Very easily excited by how bad and cruel she's being when she dares drink that apple cider.

Horse
Sabyl's horse is an average sized golden pinto quarter horse named Cellini. She had to steal him from a ranch to escape her pursuers, and now she's gotten too attached. He often has braids and flowers knotted in his hair from her failed make-over attempts on him. Sometimes there's lipstick smears on him too from when she was trying to draw cute images on him and also failed at those.
Other
-Sabyl has epilepsy. Right now it's dormant, but half a year ago, she had her last seizure which gave her the hallucination of something that was not the God she remembered. When people say she spoke with God, they mean she was hallucinating. Her whole life spent as a nun was wracked with seizures and hallucinations of God, and towards the end, this hallucinations looked less like the Catholic image and more like something she does not know and something she is afraid of. Sabyl too sure those hallucinations were real, but they've definitely freaked her out enough to be horrified of death.
-Her convent was burned down in a riot. This is what made her an outlaw. The exact details are hazy, but the basic premise is she was the nun who did most of the shooting. Everyone who died that night was blamed on her, since no other nun was found to have a weapon. She has since abandoned religion, or tried to anyways. | |

Her lips are naturally upturned, as she had a cleft lip when she was a baby that was corrected with surgery. Plump, scarlet lips as red as ripe peaches. She tints her lips with ground berries, often outlining them with blueberry mash and filling it with cherry paste. They have a sweet taste to them, which she'll most likely invite you to try for yourself. Her large, beady brown eyes invite you in before her mouth snaps you away. Her irises are a light brown color, almost amber, and are outlined in a black limbal ring. There's always a glint in them, even in the darkest of places. A hint of innocence behind her emotionally distant demeanor. Chelle's nose is a straight arrow down to her lips, hooking slightly at the tip. You could run your finger over her nose bridge and would feel a perfectly smooth line. Her eyebrows, which unlike her nose, are wide and short. They furrow perfectly over her brow bone, aiding in whatever doe-eyed look she shoots your way. Her long, uncut black hair is usually let loose in stringy strands (her hair is quite thin), or is braided with flowers and beads. Chelle isn't too good at hair, so she doesn't style it often, just when she has the time to. She always likes to add some sort of decoration to it, like leaves, flower crowns, or some sort of forest-green head covering. You will never spot Chelle wearing a dress, only seeing her in grungy androgynous clothes. She loves to crop her shirts, and pair them with long shorts or baggy pants. She isn't the best stylist, as none of her clothes fit her figure, but she knows how to dress to impress when the time comes. [ voice claim ] Margo Guryan [ personality ] Chelle is flirty, ambitious, and a tad too self centered. She loves to court others, but never fully reciprocates the feelings. She feels too afraid to go into relationships, knowing that if she falls in love, she'll never want to fall in love again. She plays the win/lose scenario with flirting with others, as she likes to bond, but feels too afraid to get close to the heart. Her love language is reassuring words and physical affection, often getting close with her muse of interest and calming them down with a nice massage. She knows how to play the romance game, however, cannot accept defeat or rejection. When it comes to rejection, Chelle will do her best to fully romance the other and will probably end up deeper in fondness than she intended. Giving them gifts, spending extra time around them, or even just going out her way to talk to them. She loves people, despite being too scared to get close to them. She likes hearing others' stories or feelings, and getting to know people in general. She's an awesome gift giver too! Chelle knows the perfect presents for everyone, and finds that gift giving is a good replacement for emotional bonding. When it comes to flirting, Chelle bats her big buy-eyes and tilts her face downwards. She's got a "deer in the headlights" type look with her naive expression and sculpted, womanly face. She knows how to play into her sweet face and dimpled smile, like a succubus who's just there to play with your emotions. She may ask you for help, and when you come up to her, she'll grab your hand and pull you closer when explaining the situation. Chelle does have some downsides to her. She struggles with remorse, sometimes say mean things to others and not understanding what she did wrong. She doesn't really care for others and their problems, though is aware of what caring looks like. The rain could come pouring down, but the only person she'd let stand under her umbrella with her is the hottest one around. [ strengths ] 1: Confidence - Chelle feels no shame or embarrassment for anything she says. She knows how charming she is, and uses it in her favor. 2: Creative - She can always come up with an awesome idea on the spot. She's also artistically talented, and loves to draw! She's got an imaginative mind that never stops running. 3: Open-minded - Chelle is always willing to learn about new stuff. Although she doesn't understand much about this modern stuff, she does her best to learn and understand others. lou louise van bueren ‘lou’ 18 female - she/her asexual & aromantic occupation: technically she’s unemployed, but she does a great deal of unpaid work for her fiance’s family’s bank appearance no one can deny that lou is an exceptionally beautiful young woman. with her angelic face, sleek blonde hair, and petite figure, she’s been compared to a doll on more than one occasion. she’s aware of her attractiveness, but she’s ambivalent about it. sure, she knows that it can make life easier for her in some ways, but she doesn’t see it as a measure of herself or something she should be particularly proud of. lou has a heart-shaped face, with a sharp jawline and square chin. her skin is smooth and porcelain-colored, free of any freckles or blemishes. her lips are full, round, and a light peach shade. she has a straight nose that ends in a gentle slope. her eyes are crystal blue and almond-shaped. lou has long, pale blonde hair that reaches her mid-back. she usually wears it in a proper bun fitting a woman of her status, but she much prefers to have it flowing freely around her shoulders. lou is of average height, standing at about 5’3”. her figure is slim, with a full bust and hips. she has a small brown birthmark on the top of her left thigh. personality lou and her fiance moved to moss pointe to expand his family’s banking business. the two became engaged about six months ago. thanks to the family business, her fiance is extremely wealthy. lou didn’t grow up poor, but her wealth pales in comparison to his. lou isn’t attracted to him - some days she has difficulty even tolerating him - but she knows that this marriage is the best way for her to have a successful life. lou’s father was a member of an outlaw gang - a secret she plans to take to her grave. she saw him very little as a child, but he always sent funds back to her and her mother. she stopped answering his letters about four years ago, when she was old enough to start to despise him for his lifestyle keeping him away. she hasn’t had any contact with him since, and she would prefer it to stay that way, especially with the beginning of her new life on the horizon. lou is extremely intelligent - an attribute she doesn’t usually get to exercise as a woman in this time period. she managed to convince her fiance to let her help with the business, managing records and such, just to have something to do, and the bank has been even more successful since she started. her intelligence greatly outweighs her fiance’s, and she finds herself bored a lot of the time with nothing to occupy her mind. thanks to her intelligence, lou is also very calculated and sensible. even though she didn’t grow up in a high-class background like her fiance, she’s taken to the lifestyle like a moth to a flame due to her ability to pick up on the mannerisms and actions of those around her. she knows when to keep her mouth shut and when to speak up. in truth, the stuck-up life she’s been living for the last several months is driving lou insane. she wants nothing more than to take off and leave it behind, but she knows that marrying into a wealthy family is the best thing for her. even so, she can’t help wishing that something would come along and take her away from it all. strengths - intelligence and common sense
