Name - Wren Age - Newborn Foal Gender - Filly Herd/Rank - Wherever her mother is, baby rank Desired Rank - Wren has no real ambitions yet, lol Appearance - Wren is a shaky-legged little filly with a golden palomino coat, broken in random patches by snow white. Her tiny hooves are nearly pink, her sparkling eyes a light hazel, and her hair a pale cream. She has one full white leg, two stockings, and a single sock, as well as a sizeable blaze on her face. Wren's legs are too big for her body, but when she grows into them properly, she'll likely reach 15 hands like her mother. Personality - Wren is optimistic and energetic. She is fearless, especially when she is near her mother, and tends to be gullible. The filly is very affectionate and clingy and perhaps a bit sensitive. She tends to startle easy and be deeply hurt by minor offenses. Wren has a fair turn of speed, but her real strength is in her stamina, inherited from a long line of lone mares. Crush/Mate/Offspring - none o' that Affiliations - She is close to her mother, Jade

Name: Faleen Age: 5 Years Gender: Female Herd: Twilight Falls Rank: Herd Mare Desired Rank: She is content with her current rank. Appearance: Faleen is a mouse grullo with tobiano markings. Due to the flashiness of her appearance, she stands out in a crowd, but this isn't a compliment. This means that she would be targeted by predators more frequently than the other, better camouflaged members of the herd. She would also have a hard time sneaking away for anything, and the chance of being caught while attempting to do so is fairly high. Her silky mane is a medium length; from the forelock almost down to the withers it is a very dark brown, while the rest of it is snowy white. Her tail is also a shade of dark brown and reaches down to the hocks. ~ Faleen stands at around 14'8 hands and has a strong, sturdy build with a touch of elegance. Her conformation gives her endurance, which often comes in handy for her when traveling long distances. Her hooves are shaped to tread across many different kinds of terrain, and are tough enough to endure arduous journeys. However, she lacks speed, and although she is as fast as the average horse, she could never compete against one gifted with swift feet. ~ Faleen's eyes are a deep, redwood brown. In brighter light, they can appear to be a darker, more neutral shade of red, while in darker light, they can take on the appearance of a darker chocolate brown with subtle hints of red. These eyes are inherited from her father, which is why she doesn't like to bring attention to them. Personality: Faleen is steadfast, and will stand by her herd through thick and thin. No matter how bad things become, she will not desert her herd, even when they've fallen on hard times. She is loyal to her friends and herdmates, standing up for them when the need arises. Sometimes, her steadfast attitude can lead to trouble and even argument. This can sometimes seem like stubbornness to others, and occasionally it is. However, she always means well, and does it for what she thinks is right. ~ By nature, Faleen is very diligent and can work as hard as she needs to without complaint. She almost never takes on tasks with a grumpy attitude, and attempts to always see them through. She does enjoy breaks, but makes sure they don't get in the way of the task at hand. ~ Faleen very rarely complains. If she is irritated by another's actions, she just avoids them, or pins her ears back to show her displeasure. She has a higher pain tolerance and tries to handle such things with as little complaint as possible, although a few do slip out. She hates being fussed over, which is why whenever she is injured or sick, she tries to take care of it herself. ~ Because of the fact that her father was a notorious bachelor stallion, and tragic way her mother died, she is insecure about the subject of her parents, and mentioning them in her presence is a quick way to get on her bad side. Although she has a calm demeanor most of the time, this is one of the things that brings out another side of her; a side she doesn't like to reveal. ~ From her mother, Faleen has a wide knowledge of multiple plants and their uses. She has learned basic healing skills, and is very helpful if a member of the herd becomes sick or injured. Because of her diligence and willingness to help others, healing has become a profession for her, and she looks forward to every opportunity to ease the suffering of others. However, because of her mother's death, she becomes distraught when she is unable to save another and blames it on herself. Crush: None. Mate: None. Offspring: None. Credit to Alla-equi@DA for all images Name: Eos Age: Unborn Gender: Filly/Female Herd: Loner (As of now) Rank: Foal Desired Rank: Content Appearance: Eos is described to be a rather beautiful foal, standing at about 21 inches when first born. She is very lean - built to run at high speeds, though it is unknown for how long she can do so. Unlike her mother, she does not appear to be very strong - having been barely able to travel alongside her mother when born. Her lack of strength - and, therefore, stamina - is rather worrying, especially when being born to a lone mare. The filly’s coat is a golden-brown which is often described by others as the pelt of the dawn. Her fur is quite silky and soft, and can be rather hard to tame. Her mane is the same color as her fur, and just as soft. On her rump is a patch of white fur with a few spots of dawn-colored fur sprinkles within. Though, the patch ends as soon as it starts with a few specs of white trailing after it. Her nose is a light grayish-brown that compliments her deep brown eyes. No scars line her body as of now, for she has not lived long enough to receive life’s decorations. However, it is likely that she won’t live long enough to receive these trophies of triumph. Personality: Curious || Intelligent || Reckless || Calm || Gentle || Kind || Timid || Somewhat Obedient || Weak Eos is a very curious filly, always asking questions about the world around her. Every hour of every day, she will pester her mother with questions about the things she sees. She especially likes asking questions about bugs, for some reason. Her favorite being the butterflies and praying mantis. She will often seek out these very insects just to ask more questions about them. Any information given to her will always be remembered. The filly has also been known to expand on the knowledge she has been given, often observing minute details that most horses would miss. After discovering something on her own, she will talk about it for days, offering theories as to why it exists and suggestions as to what it means. She also likes to create “food webs”, determining where and how she and others fit into this world. Though, such ideas mainly stick in her own head. However, this thirst for knowledge can often lead to problems due to her ignoring any warnings about predators that have been provided just to learn more about them. The dawn filly is now very energetic, and is normally very calm. Thus, she - unlike other foals - is not very playful. As mentioned before, she prefers to observe new things. Therefore, she must remain calm, so as to not scare them away if she wants to learn anything - if it is an animal, that is. Eos is very gentle towards any creature, even going as far as helping bugs live their lives. A butterfly looking for a flower? No problem! An ant colony looking for some food? Here’s some berries from nearby. Two curious cougar cubs walking to her? …Yeah, might want to intervene. She will try and help them as well. Or even befriend them, if she weren’t so timid. She rarely has the courage to walk up to strangers, generally stuttering greatly in their presence. Most of the time, she can be seen hiding behind her mother’s legs, avoiding the newcomer. Or, if her mother’s not nearby, she’ll be hiding in the bushes or behind some terrain. Though, that doesn’t mean she won’t try to befriend them… eventually. When instructed to do something - as long as her mother is nearby, that is - the filly will always listen. While not yet grasping the concept of predators and danger, she will not hesitate to run if told to. (She won’t be very happy afterwards, though, having missed a chance to learn more about said danger). However, if her mother is nowhere to be found, the filly won’t run until the creature proves to have the intent to harm. It is bad enough, being as weak as she is, but this aspect often causes trouble for her and her mother. Crush: N/A Mate: N/A Offspring: N/A Affiliations (Includes Kin): -Mother: Alaska -Father: Open Other: -Eos’ favorite butterflies are the zebra swallowtails and pipevine swallowtails. Credit to venomxbaby@DA for horse Credit to HOTNStock@DA for background Name: Epiales “Greek Spirit of Nightmares” Age: 2 Years & 10 Months Gender: Stallion/Male Herd: Twilight Falls Rank: Yearling Desired Rank: Wishes to become a lead stallion (of any herd) when old enough Appearance: Standing at 16.5 hands - with a few inches more to grow - and built from nothing but pure muscle, Epiales is a force to be reckoned with. He is built for nothing else but battle, whether it be with another horse or with a predator. With his relatively good stamina pool, he can put up a rather good risk for any who dare challenge him. However, he greatly lacks in speed - his bulk slowing him down. The stallion’s pelt is a beautiful mix of black and white, with black being more dominant. The colors twist and bend around each other - like the age old battle between darkness and light. And the darkness is winning. What little light left remains on his lower back legs and some of his head, with a few more patches along his sides. The white on his legs ends well below calcaneus while that on his head is a bit more wild. It starts on either side of his snot - turning his nose to a pink hue - before slowly creeping up the darkness. The right side is snuffed out quickly - swallowed by the darkness - while what is left of the battling light continues up the left side. However, it is soon forced to retreat to avoid the black around his eye. The white crests on his forehead, covering the fur right above his right eye before being completely surrounded. With nowhere to run, the light must stay and battle the darkness for as long as the stallion has left to live. The male’s mane, like most of his fur, has also fallen victim to the lure of darkness. It is pitch black in color, long, and flowy (and very thin). At night, it can easily be mistaken as black smoke flowing from his mane. A small part of the front of his mane can sometimes act as short bangs, covering some of the cornered white on his snout. His eyes are a deep amber - nearly red in color, and oft considered such - personifying his name in ways that even his personality cannot. His gaze is often sharp, cutting through even the toughest of horses with blaring red. Overall, he really does look like the stuff of nightmares. Personality: Aggressive || Determined || Reckless || Arrogant || Competitive || Protective || Secret Softy At first glance, Epiales is nothing more than an aggressive young stallion who is determined to get what he pleases. Whether it be for a specific grazing spot or just a good place to sleep, he will attempt to chase off the one who tries to take it - mare, superior, or otherwise. He has even been known to outright attack those who refuse to listen to him (as long as he’s not close to them, or if they’re a foal). And, he will do anything in his power to ensure that he gets what he desires… as long as young foals and those select few he cares for don’t get hurt. Epiales is a rather arrogant male, always believing that he can do anything another stallion can, but better. He will often follow other males around just to see what they’re doing before copying their actions and attempting to do better. What he does better will be bragged about for days on end, like the constant singing of birds. What he does worse will be practiced constantly so he can eventually say that he is better at it, even if he does not enjoy the activity. This leads to him being rather competitive, always up for a challenge to prove his worth. He will brag during said competition, trying to throw the other male off their game. Like mentioned - if he wins - he will brag. However, if he loses, he will admit defeat. He is a rather good sport when he loses. Afterall, it just means he needs to improve, so why be upset over it? Though, he will become aggressive if the other male brags about winning (little bit of a hypocrite, ain’t he). This aggression and arrogance makes the male incredibly reckless, charging into any situation with little to no thought. He will never weigh his options nor consider consequences. He will only see a challenge that he must accept. This oft gets him trouble with the heads of the herd, though he does not care. To those lucky enough to befriend this young male, they will find themselves surprised. Despite his rather nightmarish exterior, the black and white stallion is actually quite caring and protective. He has no true desire to harm others - he just does not know how to… express himself, in a way. Those he trusts will be seen as precious gemstones - irreplaceable. Thus, he will do everything in his power to protect them and treat them as royalty. Though, he only kindly when no one else is near - not wanting to give away his true personality. If one approaches him while he is spending time with a loved one, he will spat a sarcastic and slightly rude comment at them - with his ears pinned back and his eyes sparkling in embarrassment. He’s gotta keep up that “bad boy” persona somehow. Crush: Open Mate: N/A Offspring: N/A Affiliations (Includes Kin): -Caretaker: Phoenix Open Other: -At first, Epiales was quite happy when the lead stallion took over Sunny Valley. However, after spending time with Phoenix, he has come to despise the stallion’s actions - though not hating the lead himself. -The male was often forgotten by his family in his younger years, and was even bullied a bit. Thus, he created an aggressive, arrogant, and reckless exterior to “defend” himself - becoming the monster most called him to be. Name:Neela Age:7 Years Gender:Mare/Female Herd: Twilight Falls; Former SV Mare Rank:Herd Mare Desired Rank: She is Content With Her Rank; But she Desires to be With Her Old Herd Appearance:
Neela is a mare of more average in size, being slightly taller than her mother at 16 hh tall. She isn't terribly tall, but also isn't terribly short either, instead being just a more balanced sized mare. She has a more stout build, witha sure footedness that comes from experienced. Her belly is a bit rounder, even when she isn't pregnant, due to being a bit older and having had several foals up to this point. Even then, though, Neela has always had a bit of a wider more studier build. Her hips and shoulders are a bit more wideset, and well muscled without being unfeminine.
The dark colored mare carries a similar appearance to her mother, although still being quite different in contrast. While her mother is a more vibrant red in color, Neela is a black mare with a distinctive blanket appaloosa marking along her hips and flanks. Much like many appaloosa's, the markings have a lightening affect on her coat, making her seem like a black roan along the base of her body. However, her legs and head are true to her real color, dark without any of the lightening from her appaloosa markings. Oddly enough, even her shoulder, especially the points of them, are dark as well, showing the area of her body where the appaloosa fades to her normal color.
The appaloosa mare also has a black mane and tail to match her color. Her mane is a bit on the shorter side, but her tail is quite long, a mere few inches from being able to touch the ground. Her eyes are a bit on the unique side, but somehow go well with her coat color. One eye is a dark brown, while the other is a darker blue color too. Her voice is a low tone that is very rarely ever raised.
Personality:
Neela is a mare who isn't very marish in her behavior or attitude. She's a quiet and reserved mare with a naturally very gentle and caring attitude. Kind and motherly, the mare isn't the type to go out of her way to make drama or make anyone's life difficult. She prefers an easy going existence and often goes with the flow of things because that is what is easiest for her. The mare isn't like many who judge others quickly, and without a reason, and, truthfully, the mare tries not to judge if she can. Instead she tries to be open minded towards others, and accepting if she can. Being a mare of a more laid back and low key disposition, it isn't hard for the mare to understanding. In fact, it makes her someone who is well suited to being the ear someone needs when they need to get something off their chest.
Despite this quiet and reserved nature, Neela is definitely a rock. She's sturdy and peaceful, making her a reliable shoulder for other horses to lean on when needed. Even if she doesn't have advice to offer, the motherly mare is the type to do what she can to help others feel better in their time of need. Patient and loving, the mare is on the selfless side and without a doubt the type to go out of her way to help others if she has an opportunity to do so. Even though she has a tendency to go with the flow and isn't likely to stand up for herself, or others honestly, if someone needs help, and she can give it, she will do her best to offer it.
The quiet mare is kind of an old soul, enjoying the little and simple things in life. She's a doting mother, and a good one, knowing how to balance expectations and understanding that each of her foal's are different and none of them are going to be the same. She loves her children, and only wants the best for them. Her foals are likely the only time you'll ever see the mare get close to angry or fiery. While she isn't the type to stand up for herself, or other adult horses who don't have relation to her, you can bet the mare will throw her caution to the side to try and defend her children. If an unknown stallion is coming for her foal, or any stallion really, you can bet she is going to throw herself in the way to save her offspring. In a flash you will see the calm and collected mare turn to fiery and aggressive to defend her foal with her life. It's really the only time the mare will ever be anything but calm and patient. Her foals mean everything to her and she won't, she can't, allow anything to happen to them.
