Yaktag is a large specimen, as most Alaskan Malamutes are. He stands at the large end of the standard for his breed, coming in at 26 inches at the shoulders, and weighing close to, but not quite, 100 lbs. He's a muscular athlete, though his build is one that is more bulk than lean, his strength needed to help guide the heavy sled attached to the team. Still, the male is more so a gentle giant than anything, not one prone to aggression even if he has the mass and strength to back it up. His fur is dense and quite coarse, giving him a thick coat that helps shield him from the harsh elements of his occupation, and insulate him when its cold. He does possess a double coat, so during the summer months his fur thins out so he doesn't over heat, but during the winter months if he had longer fur he'd be considered fluffy. Yaktag's coat is a orange-red and white combination, with the stereotypical Malamute or Husky markings. It his noteable, though, that the red of his markings is darker or richer than the markings on his flanks and tail, having an odd almost faded look to him. His eyes are a shade of amber similar to his markings, being a few shades off from brown.
Besides the harness he wears while running, the only other accessory that Yaktag sports is a dark, forest green collar. It's a bit weathered from wear, but it still compliments the fall colors of his appearance.

Yaktag is one of those souls who seems older than he actually is due to his quiet and reserved nature. He doesn't humor or participate in drama or any petty shenanigans really, and doesn't particularly approve of it either. The Malamute is one who is on the more observant side, preferring to be seen rather than heard, believing his actions will pave his path for him, and allowing his words to have a bigger impact when he does speak. Tag isn't one of the dog's who's necessarily difficult to be around, as he isn't a problematic one. However, the seriousness in which he takes things can make him not the most fun to be around, as he doesn't have a tolerance for when things aren't taken seriously if they should be. Still, he's a rather stoic fellow, preferring to keep his emotions in check and unknown to others. Truthfully, Yaktag isn't the type to get close to anyone easily, keeping many of the dogs on his team at an arm's length. It isn't that he doesn't like them necessarily, but his general demeanor, and his struggle to trust easily makes it difficult for him to open up to others. Due to this lack of trust in others, Yaktag is one of those dogs who is extremely self-reliant, almost to a fault. Is he a reliable team member? Yes, he's going to be doing his job, and he won't hesitate to pick up another's slack (though he won't be thrilled about it). If there is one thing that is admirable, truly adimirable, about the male, it's that he is incredibly hard working. He has no qualms with digging in, and getting down and dirty to get something done.
When Yaktag does speak, or socialize really, it's important to note that there is a certain bluntness to him that isn't always well received. He isn't one for small talk or filler words, he's going to be direct and get right to the point. This can be intimidating to those who aren't familiar with him, but those who do know him a bit more than just passing by likely realize that he doesn't necessarily mean any harm by it. Yaktag is not malicious by nature, he just is there to do a job, and he would prefer it if everyone did theirs as well. He doesn't need to be their friend or their pal, he doesn't need to sugar coat things or be super nice. But he isn't mean. Even when he does get aggressive, it isn't with malicious intent, it's usually in defense of himself, or because he's finally been pushed too far.

Strengths/Weaknesses:+ Physical Strength: Yaktag is physically a very strong dog, which is why he is in his position on the team. What he might lack in speed or agility, Yaktag, without a doubt, makes up for it with physical strength.
+ Observant: Due to his Quiet Nature, Yaktag is incredibly observant, often picking up on things that others might have missed.
+ Mental Fortitude: While Yaktag is physically strong, he is also quite Mentally Strong. It takes a lot to shake the male, to make him doubt himself really. He knows his abilities and what he is capable of, and he rarely doubts those abilities.
+ Stamina/Endurance: Like many dogs on the team, he's built to last. He may not be fast, but at a solid pace he can go for a while.
+ Durable: Due to his Size, Strength, and Endurance, Yaktag is quite durable. He is capable of tanking several hits without slowing much. Eventually he will slow, but he can handle a lot.
- Lack of Speed & Agility: While Yaktag can keep pace with the Dogs on his Team, he isn't going to out run them or win any 1v1 races. He isn't a fast dog, that isn't what he's built for. - Reserved: Due to his Nature, Yaktag isn't the type to show pain, physically or emotionally, and likely won't slow down even if he honestly should. This causes injuries he gains to become worse if he doesn't take the proper steps to aid them quickly enough. - Allergies: While during the Winter it isn't as big of a deal, during spring and summer, he has to be on Allergy Medication because of his allergies. He gets super itchy and sneezy, and it causes him to become extremely irritable. - Limitations: This ties into the "Reserved" point, but Yaktag knows his abilities, but he tends to push himself too hard, to the point of pure exhaustion. He knows his limitations, he does, he just rarely respects them. - Self Reliance: Yaktag doesn't trust quickly or easily. So he doesn't rely on others. He doesn't trust them to do their jobs. He likes to be proven wrong, and hates to be proven right. But this just means he always undertakes things by himself. He rarely ever asks for help.

Despite the Wolf DNA present in her genes, Miki is on the small side, especially for a Wolfdog. Standing at only a hair over 23 inches at the shoulder, and roughly 47 lbs on a good day, there is absolutely nothing that is threatening about the dog. Truthfully, when she was born Meriwa was a bit of a disappointment to her breeders, having expected her to turn into a larger dog than what she is. Still, she's done her part to show that she still has her strengths, even if size and physical strength isn't really one of them. With a lean build, one with sinewy muscle instead of sheer bulk, it's clear that Meriwa is built for speed and agility. She will fill out a bit more as she ages, since she's still a rather young dog, but she won't increase in mass by much. This means the female is destined to always be a fast and agile dog, something she is perfectly okay with.
Her fur is on the shorter side, and isn't quite as dense as other dogs' can be. It's still enough to keep her warm for the most part, though sometimes she gets a bit cold on the especially bitter nights. During the summer, though, it thins out a bit since she has the typical double coat that she sheds. The dainty female is an agouti in coloration, a medley of black, white, and shades of grey. She has the build of an Alaskan husky, but her coloration is one of the things that is a mix of both husky and wolf, giving her a rather unique appearance. And, if that wasn't unique enough, there are her eyes. The female has what is often called "star eyes" by those around her. Not only does she have bi-colored eyes, one brown and one dark blue, but they look refracted, with the pupils just being different to, giving her eyes the star like appearance. It doesn't affect her vision, but they tend to catch the attention of those unused to her.

It's obvious that Meriwa is a rather young dog just based on meeting her. She's quite social, someone who is friendly towards most and never passes up on a chance to engage in social interaction. Truthfully, Meriwa is quite a chatterbox, even more so when she's nervous. She doesn't mind taking up most of the conversations, and always gets a little insecure when she's corrected for talking so much or told to pipe down. It makes her feel like an annoyance or an inconvience. Because she is a young dog, she is a bit insecure with herself and her abilities, and thrives off of praise, whereas being put down throws her off. Of course this can be a bit of a contradiction because she is hyper-competitive at times. This comes for her hatred of losing and failure, but sometimes, because she doesn't take citicism well, it can knock her down a peg and make her doubt herself. Typically, though, this is when her ultra competitiveness comes to a head, causing her to push harder than usual.
Still, aside from that is a very curious and easily excited dog. She's inquisitive, always getting into things that sometimes results in her getting into some form of trouble. She's quite friendly towards everyone, but she can get overwhelmed when there is too much pressure on her at any given time. This is when she relies on those she trusts most, needing them, right now, to help guide her towards whatever the right answer or decision is. Unfortunately, Meriwa is a bit naive, trusting a bit to easily, and taking people as they appear without a second thought. This is a youth thing, as she learns, and likely gets hurt, she will out grow this, but it will take time.
