Born to the mountains, Nisa is a very short but hardy mare, her stout physique giving her the ability to not only traverse the difficult terrain but also tolerate the severe weather of her natal territory. Standing at barely, on a good day, 14.1 hh isn't really built entirely for speed or strength. She can keep up with the other, taller horses, and her hooves absolutely pack a bunch when you're on the wrong side of them, but she isn't going to be a victor in racing or fighting often. Which leaves the short mare in a precarious position considering she currently lacks a herd to protect her.
The sturdy mare has a denser coat that is shorter in the warmer months and down right fluffy during the cold ones. Her tail is quite long, the tips of it almost reaching down to drag across the ground, whereas her main is a bit shorter, though she has a prominent forelock to it. Her coat is entirely black, with the only exception being the white blaze that takes up have of her face and leads to her pink nose, and the singular white sock she has on her left hind leg. Her hooves are a dark greyish-brown color, and her eyes are a similar color, though darker and richer.

Nisa might be a small mare, but don't tell her that, she's got more than enough attitude to make up for her lack of size. The fiesty little mare is opinionated and not afraid to state how she feels, regardless what situation she might be in. It never occurs to her that she might need to hold her tongue to keep herself out of trouble. Now, while she might physically rely on others to protect her, don't think she isn't going to try and handle her own shit. She will kick and bite with the best of them, and use her words to inflict damage when needed. She's a sassy little lass, many assume she's the way she is because she's so short which means she closer to hell.
Now Nisa is quite stubborn, not the type to back down from something if it's what she wants. She is, however, a friendly mare, someone who could be considered social. Conversation comes naturally to the female, something others might take notice of when around her. She will approach others and speak to them openly, able to be quite friendly. She is a spunky mare, but she isn't needlessly aggressive either. She really only becomes that way when threatened or challenged, but at the end of the day Nisa is a more friendly mare than not.
If there is one thing true to Nisa's nature is that she is a very dedicated, attentive, and driven mother. She always puts her foals and yearlings needs and wants above her own, and would happy throw herself in front of danger for them. As long as she stands in the way, no harm will come to her offspring.

Delphine is a stout Haflinger type mare. Standing at 15 hh exactly she isn't very tall, though she isn't the shortest either. She has a sturdy and thick build, and seems to be built to be able to withstand the difficult elements of the mountains. She has a rounder belly due to her thicker build, but also having already had several foals over the past few years. She has thick muscling for both her legs, which means she packs quite the powerful kick or paw when needed. This means she isn't built for speed, and while she isn't the tallest and most powerful horse, she can still pack quite a dangerous and painful punch.
The mare has a dark palomino coat, something rich in color with a distinct blonde-red hue. Her legs have cream colored socks on all four legs, with little tufts of fur on them all. On her face is a thick white blaze that disappears into her forelock and ends at her grey nose. Her mane and tail are both long and thick, their color a pale cream color. Her eyes are a dark cinnamon brown color, and are very warm and welcoming to others.

Name: Amata Meaning: "Beloved One" Age: 6 Years Old Gender: Female Herd: Plains Herd Rank: Herd Mare Desired Rank: Content Appearance: Amata is a grey mare, meaning that, once, her coat was a different colour, and she has slowly shifted to a pale, grey hue. Mild dappling still exists on her rump, and further down her legs are on the darker end of grey rather than the pale, near-white hue of her body and tail. Her mane, while primarily silvery-grey, also has a few darker locks, primarily around her forelock and towards the ends of some of her hair. Her coat will, one day, be completely white. Amata's coat before she went grey was that of a beautiful paint palomino. Her coat was a deep golden colour all across her body, with her mane a creamy shade so light it looked stark white against her coat. Her body was covered in a patchwork of paint markings, white splotches among the deep gold. Her body first went a beautiful dapple grey, and has now lightened into what it currently is. The mares body isn't as thick or hardy as some. Her legs are long, her neck and head defined. Amata stands at just over 16 hands tall, not too tall, but on the taller side. Her body is muscular in a functional way, allowing her powerful strides and a natural range of motion.  Coyote is a stocky red roan who stands at 15.1 hh .She is well muscled and built for speed. Her hair is shorter than most of the others due to many reasons. Her tail is somewhat long. The blaze on her face streches over her left eye making it blue and her other a duller brown. She has a stocking on her left back left and her roaning is already completely showing, Personality:Coyote is a very laid back mare who doesnt necesarily cause problems within the herd unless needed. She can be quite bullheaded and snarky. Coyote has a someone short temper if you say a wrong word or move incorrectly and is not afraid to resort to fighting. Name: Wahala (Pronunciation: Va-hal-a) Age: 2.5 Months - Gender: Filly - Herd: The Plains Herd - Rank: Foal - Desired Rank: Lead Mare - Appearance: The young filly is quite the pretty one really. Wahara is a larger foal than most at her age, from her should down she stand just under 9 hands tall. She has a long, elegant body and long legs which she stumbles over often. The filly has a slim body structure which helps with agility and speed. Wahara has an average sized head with a strong, sharp jaw. She has bigger ears than most foals and big, doe eyes that could just hypnotize you with how adorably beautiful they are. Her coat coloration takes after her father, the deceased lieutenant. For a base color Wahara has a pale palomino color with small dapples around her neck, legs, and belly. The filly is a paint, she has white split he's all along her stomach and her face is entirely white, leaving her eyes to be a sky blue. Her mane and tail fade from black to white. (As she grows up her patterns will stay the same but her coloration will become a tad bit darker, resulting in a light buckskin color.) Appearance: Credits to Valkari-Stock on Deviantart Epona is a 2 month old Palomino foal. She currently weighs 307 pounds. Currently, Epsona is a lot more thin then she should be. This is due to her mother passing away in the recent days. Epsona has a light cream blaze marking down the center of her face. This same color is found down at her hooves in the form of small socks. A lot of her looks where inherited from her mother with her face shape from her father. Epsona's legs still carry the too-long look about them that the majority of foals have while they're young. She will grow into these as she ages further, one day with them being her most powerful asset. Her eyes are a deep chocolate brown that still carry an aura of not lost innocence. Her tail and mane are a slightly lighter color than the rest of her body. Once she is an adult they will grow to be fairly long and flowy.
Personality: Epsona is very wary and skittish. This has only happened to her since losing her mother. She has learned that anything can be a danger. Epsona is very much a 'Flight' and not 'Fight' kind of horse. It can be hard to approach her at times without causing her to startle. Despite this, she is still curious in a cautious way, usually wanting to find out more, but uncertain if it's safe to do so. Once Epsona starts to feel safer and opens up more, she is a fairly relaxed young filly. If she is with horses she feels safe around she will tend to lay out in the warm sun, enjoying the feeling on her back. Epsona, of course, still has bouts of playfulness. After all, she is a foal. Her favourite game is to race others, if she is with other foals. If she is not with others, she will usually chase after a butterfly.
