Despite the proportions, Pinja is quite the small wolf, only standing at 26 inches. Her large paws hint that she was supposed to be larger, but the famine of her birth year prevented that.
Pinja has mainly sleek, dense fur, a trait of her mother before her. She has more front body than back body strength, and for her size, she is quite the strong wolf. Pinja has near-perfect teeth from a life spent foraging and eating only small prey. She has very little experience in holding onto struggling deer legs and the like, and the still strong, undamaged state of her teeth show it.
She walks with a purposeful gate and her eyes always fixed ahead. You will never see the she-wolf's back facing you; rule number one of surviving your own kind is to never turn your back. Instead her silent green gaze will always be fixed on you or at least watching you intently from the corners.
Scars, Wounds: Pinja probably has a few scars along her flank, but her dense fur is doing a decent job of hiding them. During shedding season she will have patchy bald spots were teeth have grazed her, but no injury thus far has left a noticable mark when her pelt comes in fully. Her most noticable scars during shedding season are on her sides and are in the shape of gigantic wolf teeth; there was no supersized wolf that got her, it was just a den-ghosting attempt by another pack invading when she was just a few days old, and the scars from the fang impressions have grown with her.

Despite the small stature, Pinja stands tall with her head high and her green eyes locked with her conversation partner. She has a bit of a stiff pose, her haunches always raised slightly and her tail never tucked, let alone hanging limply. Pinja speaks clearly and purposefully when she is roped into a conversation. However, the she-wolf usually tries to avoid them and avoid any sort of interaction with pack wolves. Even with her air of quiet confidence in conversations, Pinja is secretly quite shy and not too fond of speaking unless she has to.

That's not to say she'll sit and take things. The she-wolf puts her paw down the second things have gone too far or even look like they may. She does not dance around a subject when something displeases her and she makes sure you know she isn't happy. Pinja has always found it irritating that a wolf of her size and disposition is expected to be a push-over and she is determined to be anything but. However, the she-wolf rarely thinks before she speaks up, and will be immediately blunt. She will not try to sugar-coat her words or organize her sentences carefully, she will just say what she thinks and she expects one to respect that.

She puts a real effort into maintaining distance and never shares anything too identifying. She rarely even speaks her name. When she does socialize with unfamiliar wolves, Pinja likes to let her conversation partner do all the talking for her, parroting their energy and encouraging them to just keep going on about themselves. Most wolves only realize afterward that she's siphoned most of the information about them, but shared none about her. She has a way of being aloof but also making you feel safe enough to share with, if that makes sense. Wolves are rarely intimidated by someone as small as her and they make the mistake of not deeming her as posing any threat. Though Pinja never resorts to direct physical violence, one should still feel a little worried after they realize they know nothing of her and she knows many things about them.

When angry or feeling disrespected, Pinja can be very condenscending. Never violent, but she's oh so very fond of those back-handed compliments or subtle implications that she finds one pathetic. Pinja can be intimidated just like any other, but she prefers to trudge through it anyways and remain calm and collected, not letting her teeth fly or her voice raise. Personally, she finds it quite immature and a sign of major sensitivity... but that's just Pinja's outlook.

Pinja is incredibly self-reliant to the point where it may hinder more than aid her. That is how she wound up a loner, after all; growing up in a small pack struggling to keep its footing due to the larger, more successful one nearby, one will start to think that pack life only weighs wolves down in the long run. Despite her refusal to cooperate as a group, Pinja has made it pretty well for herself on her own. Her small size has forced her to adapt in creative ways and find clever tricks to survive. The she-wolf is surprisingly strong for such a small creature - she certainly can't take down an adult deer by herself, but she can decently hold her own in a 1v1 physical fight if she must. Thankfully, she hasn't had many of those, and her lack of scars proves that none have gotten too severe. Yet. It's a marvel she hasn't with the times she's let her opinion be known without a care for any reprocussion.

Pinja also isn't very fond of pack life because of ranks. She grew up where ranks weren't really a thing, and now that she sees the rigid hierarchy most packs have, she's disgusted by any olive branch extended to her. Pinja does not want to be at the bottom of the pecking order. Pinja doesn't like the idea of being bossed around. Pinja does not want to have duties she must tend to... but she also is starting to learn the hard way that maybe she should consider a pack life. At least for a little while. Her desire to last another winter is the only reason she's been lingering around this pack's borders lately. A very poor choice of packs she's decided on, but she doesn't know that yet.

The she-wolf has maybe done too good of a job at slinking around, or maybe just right. She still isn't sure if she actually wants to make contact or not. Pinja has learned to be very crafty and scheme often in her time alone to cut down the risk of fights or worse. She rolls in mud to disguise her scent, she only enters and exits pack territories through rivers so they won't be able to track her, she'll only follow ravens to carcasses that are mostly barren to have a higher chance of getting a meal she won't be chased from. One day she'll have to make a decision to make her prescence apparent or march away, but for now, she'll sit here and ponder... and actively try to keep herself concealed.

Pinja is not the type to forgive once she has been wronged. She'll let you know she's angry with you of course, unless what you did is something vile enough to make her start thinking vengeful thoughts, in which case she'll keep acting just as polite yet distant as she usually does. None of her plots ever involve her directly hurting somone - once again, Pinja would find doing something like that to be quite childish and frankly embarrassing. She'll use what they've shared with her against them, such as snitching to a mate or exposing them for something else. She lives by the philosphy that the best way to wound a wolf is by attacking their pride and ego, not their body. Pinja does not derive pleasure from this which is why she does it rarely. Usually she just prefers making someone feel inferior via verbal means.
