He is a brute when it comes to size, he stands tall at four feet and five inches. He weighs in at 214 kilos (around 475lbs) so he is definitely nothing to scoff at when it comes to size. He bears a muscular frame with broad shoulders and large, powerful paws. When he walks there is an aura of power and regalness that surrounds him. His limbs help him propel himself with such grace and power. His body of a golden-brown complexion, with it, looking lighter in certain lighting. You can see scars and wounds on his body, so one can infer that he is well acquainted with fights. When this male fights he fights with all he has and even if he's bloodied, battered and bruised he'll still find a way to stand. He has a large and luscious mane. The mane of a lion is their crowning glory. His mane is long and thick, with a mostly raven complexion. They say males with dark manes are attractive and are said to be catnip to the ladies. Why? His darker and fuller mane indicates that he's a healthy lion with plenty of testosterone, and serves as a warning to rivals; he won't go down without a fight. Even the browns and blondes on his hair are shades of dark brown, akin to that coffee brown. And the blonde strands are like that of wheat, so a wheaten blonde intertwined with the richness of the darker hues of brown. This male prides himself in his mane and does his best to make sure it is well-kept. He absolutely hates it when leaves and twigs get tangled up in his locks. He may be considered vain for wanting to look his best, but he just want his ladies to have something to feast their eyes upon. After all it would be rude for them to have to look at an ugly male all the time. This male has striking olive hued optics. They always seem to be flickering with amusement or holding some mischief in them. His eyes are highly expressive and are windows into his soul. When he's angry his eyes are stormy and cold, and his glare is one that can send chills down a lions spine. You can tell that this male is angry from the chilling aura that will radiate off of him and from the occasional twitch of his tail. When he's happy or in a good mood, one can see the light and twinkle in his eyes or if they soften when deal in with cubs or ones he loves. He was born of a King and Queen, and as such he was taught how he should act. He was told by his father: Never lower yourself to someone that isn't worthy only true opponents gain your submission. This male has a sense of pride, but it's not overly inflated, but more of he knows who he is and that he isn't changing for anyone(unless he wants to. You can forget making him be another way.) He has the heart of a warrior and is protective of what belongs to him. He will fight with everything he has for his Pride, and he damn well won't give up on them so they better not give up on him. His love is something that is unconditional. He only will take a few ladies into his heart and once they're stuck their then he becomes possessive of his ladies. He has an undeniable amount of charisma and charm about him as his words just flow so smoothly and elegantly. However, he will have one he favors above the rest, and when it comes to her he's extremely jealous and won't tolerate any male making advances on her(or any of his ladies for that matter.) His favored lioness could set fires to the world, kill someone, be a tyrannical or cold-hearted person, but he'd still love her and be by her side. He’d do anything for her as she’d have him wrapped around her paws. If she asked him to kill someone for her. He would do it. She needs help hiding a body? He's her partner-in-crime. This male has an aura of power that surrounds him. His mere presence demands respect, if not for his size then from his glare if he finds something displeasing or if someone is in trouble. If he gives an order or command then he expects it to be done: simple as that. If it is not done on time or to the best of one’s ability then he will be disappointed, but to flat out disobey him? Ah. No, that is like a slap to his face and insubordination irks his nerves. He is fair and just when it comes to dealing with insubordination. He would never harm a lioness physical, but he would reprimand her with the sternness and firmness a father would. However, if a male is the one screwing up then he views it as a challenge to his leadership and authority. So he'll be harsher in his words and may isolate and ground the male until he learns how to show some respect. He doesn't dare interfere when the Queen gives punishments, but if he is feeling generous then he may try to sway her to deal out a lighter punishment. Her word is important to him, and she is his equal so to disrespect her is to disrespect him. This male is quite the mischievous lad. He loves messing around with his pridemates, but he can of course grow serious when needed. His pride is important to him, and he would gladly die for them. He wants what's best for them and he always has them in mind when he makes decisions. He makes it his goal to know the names of every member and to know them on a personal level. He wants to be involved in the pride life and so if he can he will assist on the hunt and he likes to wake up early to patrol the borders. He is a hardworking male who ensures the safety and happiness of those he loves and cares about. He is intelligent and quite enjoys being alone for a bit if he's thinking. He hates to be disturbed when he is thinking or planning something. He is quite cunning and deceptive as well, he knows how to achieve his goals whether by good means or bad ones as well. He isn't afraid to get a little blood on his paws, but he wouldn't risk the lives of others.  This lion is quote humorous and enjoys a good laugh. If you can make him laugh then you got a friend for life. Friendships and other relationships are also important to him. Friends are more like family, and it hurts him when he's betrayed. Now when it comes to other matters he can be hardened and stoic, but if a friend is found to have betrayed him? Then he'll go into a deep sadness. He will feel it's his fault or error on his part. However, it also reveals a side of him that's undesirable. He can be quite vindictive: if you betray him then you better be prepared to say goodnight. He will not rest until he gets an answer on why you did it, and if it isn't good then he well...will kill you. While he may have a loose set of morals at times: he doesn't like traitors. To be his friend one must be honest and truthful with him. He doesn't want someone to just tells him what he wants to hear. He wants the facts of something so he can do something about it. His greatest fear is to watch someone die and not be able to do something about it. This male has a determination that cannot be measured. When he sets his mind to do something then he will accomplish it. He is an encouraging individual who will stand by your side and give you the best advice. He hears both sides: good and evil. He knows both sides with intricate detail. If swayed he can reveal a darkness admits his light. If pushed to the brink he may do things he wouldn't do now. He wouldn't hesitate to conquer a pride to the advancement of his own, but he'd rather make an agreement or talk things out. However, if there is no choice then he will do what it takes to survive. He may be bullheaded at time because when he makes a decision he stands firm by it. He would never break a promise, and he'd die before he harmed those he loves. Taranaki can be sly and manipulate bastard when he wants to be. He knows just how to tug at those heartstrings. If it gets the job then, hey, it's an option. Now he'd never cross the line and kill a cub. Kidnap, yes. Murder, no. Even if he did ’kidnap’ someone he wouldn't be so cold-hearted and harm them. Ah, now when it comes to manipulation he doesn't like being manipulated (even though he does it at times. Again this a rare trait.) He doesn't like being used for personal gain as well as it is quite despicable. Taranaki also doesn't like those who abuse their power or try and kiss up to those in higher ranks. Ah, this male is a mess, but you gotta love him. He's unsure, but he's pretty content right now.
Appearance:
Codjo has a rather unique appearance, but one that could be considered attractive. Being a younger male he stands at around 4 feet and 1 inch tall at the shoulder, and won't likely grow to be much larger. Due to his younger age, having just turned four, he has a leaner weight off about 400 - 420 lbs, the range is due to the fact that he doesn't have a pride to provide regular meals for him so he fluctuates a lot. As he ages, the most he will likely reach is 450 lbs, but that'll be in a couple of years. Still, CJ is nothing to scoff at, having a set of large paws and a powerful pair of shoulders. He's just as dangerous as larger males, just in a slightly smaller package.
While having a leaner build, he also holds a smaller mane, but this is due to his youth. As he ages it'lly grow out longer and fully, but for now his youth keeps it from filling out. Already one can see it's potential though, as it startss around his face with a forward facing mohawk like tuft for "bangs", then falling down around his neck, a trail of hair down his spine to end right between his shoulder blades. On the sides it follows the line of his shoulders, resting against them like a well worn hood before coming down over his throat and ending in a point down his chest. He keeps his mane, no matter it's size, well groomed, and enjoys when others snuggle into it, as it's quite soft and a good pillow.
For his face, Codjo has a handsome looking face with a defined chin and jaw. His fur on his chin is a little longer than normal, giving him a roguish look that fits his cocky attitude. His cheeks are also surprisingly well tufted, softening the strength of his jaw just a bit. The look of his face and the mohawk like tuft at the top of his mane give him that handsome but cocky look most male lions always seem to have.
In terms of coloration that's where CJ gets quite unique, causing him to stand out from a crowd. His base color is a medium grey-tan color, where as his underbelly is a lighter taupe color. However, the male almost represents as a siamese in markings, having his legs star to darken half way down before becoming nearly almost black just before his toes, which are the taupe like his underbelly. This darkening can be seen not only on his legs, but on his tail, as well as on his face, just not as much on the latter. The top of his face does darken, but the taupe that comes from his throat and over his mandible also reaches up to connect to his nese, leaving the area where his whiskers are the lighter color too. The rest of his face is darker though, going from the grey-tan to a darker color, though he has a bit of the taupe under his eyes, accenting them and making them stand out, and eyebrow like markings [think doberman like] above his eyes. The edges of his ears are also dark, whereas the fur within them is a bit lighter than the base color of grey-tan. On his tail and legs, where the darkening occurs, there are also stripes that are darker than his base coat, but lighter than the darker color, being somewhere inbetween the two.
His mane is next, as it compliments his ash-like appearance by bringing in some color while also remaining dark. His mane and tail tip are both a dark red color, rich and deep in color while also dark enough to show strength. His eyes are a bright, bright gold, standing out against the darker backdrop of his face, making it hard to look away from them whenever making eye contact.
Overall, Codjo is a rather attractive, but unconventional male.

Content Appearance: Kanata is a 3 feet and 3 inches tall lioness, she sports a muscular but agile body type; while she is not built all-agility or all-strength, she has a nice skillset in both. Her muscles are well-defined and wiry, certainly enhancing the more intimidating appearance she has. _ Kanata graceful, feminine features over all. Large, pale dusty blue eyes are framed by thick eyelashes, dark skin, and sleek white fur. Her nose is a mottled mixture of pink and black with the former color congregating around the center groove. Her tongue is a pink blep. Long, shining teeth are visible with the mischievous grin she occasionally sports. _ Kanata coat is white, but she has darker cream and gray shading around her face, ears, shoulders, and rump. Her fur is short, soft, and sleek, keeping her warm but also effectively shedding heat. She has a fair number of scars, though none are overly noticeable, that she has gained through mainly hunting endeavors; a few were gained from lions and lionesses in her previous pride. _ Kanata's voice is low and almost sultry, though it carries a hardened tone of a more dominant animal. She speaks eloquently and carries herself in a more regal manner befitting a lioness of a higher station; however, there is nothing pompous about her walk or mannerisms. She is not an arrogant creature, nor does she try to impose her ways on others. Kanata leads in a more natural way, focusing first on herself and her own actions. Personality: If loyalty and protectiveness were personified, they would be Kanata. She is a quiet, reserved lioness -- until her family and her pride is threatened. Kanats's strength is both physical and mental, and she will unleash all of the underworld on the unfortunate soul who dared attempt harm her family in any way. She can have quite the harsh mouth when she feels like it, and sharp claws don't hurt either. _ Kanata's forte is mental destruction. This female can locate a weakness and stab at buttons like no other. She whips up lies more easily than anything, and she's good at weaving stories. Of course, in her current circumstances, this gift has been used mainly for the entertainment of her younger pridemates, but there has been a time or two when she has waged psychological war on another lion or lioness. That time is coming once more. _ She is quite mature. While Kanata is aloof and certainly not the most outgoing creature, she can hide it when she needs to and will grin and bear it. She is adventurous, but her idiotic actions died within her first year or so of life. Now, she is much more rational in her decisions and plans before doing. She measures threats and formulates actions accordingly; there is nothing sudden or sporadic about this lioness. _ She enjoys playing with cubs is her favorite pastime. She keeps an eye on expectant or new mothers to make sure everything goes smoothly, as she has seen the drastic effects that can occur when there is a hiccup in the birthing process. In such situations -- in any stressful time, actually -- Kanata maintains a level head and her composure, allowing her to think rationally and find a quick, effective solution to the problem. She is not below asking for help, though that is usually a last resort. _ She is an intelligent, guarded creature, keeping nearly all of her emotions and unneccessary thoughts to herself. She can hide the aforementioned treasures quite well and can easily throw up false ones when needed. Kanata hates showing weakness herself and is always striving to be "the greatest" in all that she does. It's not really a competition between her and the other lionesses; in her mind, the only opponent she needs to gain the upper hand on is herself. If someone is better suited for a job, then let them take it. Kanata is not easily offended -- at least, not by personal attacks. _ Then, there is the flip side to her. When threatened, or when her family is threatened, this light lioness takes on a very dark personality. She is not afraid to shed blood, and she can be downright terrifying with both her words and actions when placed in a hard spot. Aina is physically capable and, while she may not be able to take down a challenging lion, she will give them the beating of their life. She can become very revenge-driven and almost bloodthirsty. I'll accept her, but keep in mind, because I noted you had something about her being able to run long distances, lions are not built for long runs. They can only hold their top speed for short distances, they don't even really lope for long distances because they're built for sprint bursts. ^^ I just wanted to let you know.
