Abilities:

Arashi has the ability to breathe a lethal, scorching hot fire that is able to reduce almost anything in the world to nothing more than ash. It has a surprising amount of accuracy, as Arashi is usually able to hit her target with ease. An unusual but useful ability that she also has is a superior sense of smell to other dragons; she is able to pick up on danger or a potential meal from quite a distance away.

Appearance:

At a height of sixteen feet at her shoulders, Arashi is nothing short of a behemoth. She is extremely large, easily able to tower over most other dragons. Her size alone is intimidating, but her combat prowess is even more terrifying. She is packed with muscle, making her physical strength immense; ridiculous, almost. But, her breath is just as, if not more dangerous; she can melt just about anything into ash with pinpoint accuracy, since she is able to breathe a devastating fire breath. However, the cost for her incredible abilities is great. Her speed is crippling; there aren’t many dragons that she can outrun. However, her agility is even worse. Due to Arashi’s size, she cannot turn as fast as a smaller, more nimble dragon could.

Arashi has two massive wings on her back, which appear to be made of dark smokey gray rocks held together by streams of even darker crimson magma. Her black scales appear charred and burnt, as they are darker than a moonless midnight sky. They cover most of her body, almost like a pitch-black blanket held together by a river of dark red magma underneath. Her scales are rough to the tough and toucher than boulders. She has a streak of crimson-colored spikes which run from behind her horns to in between her wings, and then end at the tip of her tail. They are sharp enough to draw blood, and complement her darker color scheme perfectly.

This dragon has a long, but broad, serpent-like neck, which makes her appear larger than she actually is. Her head is large, but grows narrower towards her snout. She has two large horns atop her skull which are straight and, much like the spikes on her back— very sharp. They lie behind her dark, piercing crimson eyes, which, at times, may seem to stare straight through one’s soul. Arashi’s mouth is large, and filled with rows of deadly, blade-like teeth that are well suited for ripping through flesh.

This dragon has muscular legs and large feet with razor-sharp claws on the end. Some of her toes are missing, though, and she has many smaller nicks and scrapes around her knees. In fact, across her face is a large, nasty scar that strays dangerously close to her right eye. Lastly, Arashi’s tail is powerful, but thins out when it nears the end.

Personality:

Arashi, meaning, “storm,” or “tempest,” suits this female’s personality perfectly. It is an unorganized, messy clutter; and quite unforgiving. She is the very definition of arrogance, truly believing that she is superior to everybody else. You do not need to know this dragon to understand how egotistical she truly is; you can see it in her prideful strutt and the haughty way in which she tends to carry herself. Arashi is competitive and hot-headed, determined to make it clear that she is the best, and losing her temper when she cannot do so. She’d rather die before being outdone, something that goes to show just how conceited this dragon is.

However, just because this dragon is full of herself doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have any good qualities. In fact, Arashi will fight to defend those that she deems closest to her; while also showing off her skills in combat. Her haughtiness aside, she genuinely does care about dragons who’ve gained her trust and friendliness. Although rare, and it doesn’t apply to everyone, she can show a great deal of empathy and won’t hesitate to do her best in lifting someone's spirits if they’re feeling crestfallen.

However, even though she defends the prosperity of others— that doesn’t mean that Arashi isn’t reckless herself. In fact, her thoughtlessness is what earned her the title of “Storm Delver.” This dragon often acts without giving a care as to what the consequences may be, whether it is to show off or to satisfy her insatiable sense of adventurousness. She can’t stand boredom, but finds that the excitement of exploration is able to wipe it away. In fact, Arashi spends most of her time making her way through the depths of unexplored, unconquered territory. She most enjoys adventures where the risk is high; she finds them very thrilling.

Besides adventuring, this dragon loves to fight; she looks forward to the thrill of battle and the bloodshed that inevitably comes with it. Arashi is immensely skilled in the art of combat— able to catch the faintest sign of faltering and the slightest openings. She learned how to survive from a young age, in fact, this female has quite a bit of knowledge on the world from her days exploring. Though, it isn’t common for her to share that knowledge with anyone.

Thoughts on Non-Dragons:

Truthfully, Arashi hasn't put much thought onto this matter. As long as they respect her and don't think that they're better than her, than she won't have a problem with them.

Backstory:

Arashi’s parents died when she was an adolescent; both slaughtered while protecting her from a much larger, aggressive Krelluris. Left to fend for herself, she managed to survive and make it into adulthood, astounded at her size and physical abilities. She taught herself how to fight, and gained knowledge while adventuring.
