It was just after midnight when the video dropped. No announcement. No teasers. Just a single upload to a half-dead StreamVerse channel called @EchoV_music — no profile pic, no banner, barely five followers. But within minutes… the right people noticed. The video was raw — dimly lit, one take, no filters. A woman sat on the edge of a hotel bed, cradling a weathered acoustic guitar. Her hair was pulled into a loose braid, and a hoodie hung off her shoulder like she’d forgotten she was being filmed. She didn’t introduce herself. Didn’t smile. Just let the music pour out. The song was a stripped-down, soul-drenched version of an old track that had once climbed charts when the world still remembered the name Victoria O’Connor. The voice was older now, huskier — but achingly familiar. A voice the industry lost.
A voice some said had died.
A voice others swore they could still hear in dreams. By morning, the comment section was chaos. “IS THIS WHO I THINK IT IS??”
“Tori?? No way. She’s dead.”
“That voice… I’d know it anywhere.”
“This gave me chills. Straight up chills.”
“She’s back.” No press release. No label push.
Just a girl, a song, and the ghosts she’d tried to bury. And across New York — in smoky lounges, shifter-run studios, fae-drenched nightclubs, and vampire-owned record offices — people stirred. Some wanted her found.
Some wanted her silenced.
And others… just wanted one more chance to hear her sing.

Shifters, vampires, fae, witches, and other supernatural beings are welcome. However, no overpowered characters. All supernatural abilities must have weaknesses or clear limits. Magic should add tension and flavor, not make characters invincible. 💔 5. Give Your Characters Flaws
Perfect characters are boring. Tori isn’t perfect, and no one else should be either. Everyone has regrets, fears, blind spots, or emotional baggage — embrace the messy parts. 🔥 6. Romance and Drama
Romance is allowed and encouraged, but this is a PG-13 setting. Use fade-to-black when necessary.
Character drama is great. Player drama is not. Keep conflict in-character and resolve OOC issues calmly. 🎶 7. Multiple Characters Allowed

Affiliation: New Bloom Records, a new record label run by a mysterious fae who claims to be avoiding connections to the supernatural. It's not exactly shady, but it's not not shady either...
Appearance
Height: 5'6"
Build: Lengthy, their arms are noticeably slightly too big for their torso.
Hair: Their hair is a chestnut colour, which they tend to either wear in a high ponytail or down with a small braid on the left side. It goes about four inches past her shoulder length.
Eyes: Her eyes are a gray that seems to change colour with the lighting to either a dull green or a pale blue.
Style: Onstage, they are incredibly preppy, being known for graphic tees, loose-fitting pants, and high-effort makeup looks. They also tend to wear a lot of accessories, in particular loving a wing necklace. Offstage, they are much more relaxed, usually sporting sweats, running shoes, and a loose shirt. The only accessories they wear here is their wing necklace.
Distinguishing Features: Skylar has two visible tattoos, one of a meadowlark on her right forearm, and one of a snake on her left bicep. They also have a mark that looks like a star on their left hand. They also have three sigil tattoos that they keep hidden on their lower midriff - one for protection, one for control, and one for peace.

Core Traits: Cautious, emotional, loud, headstrong, fierce.
Vices / Flaws: Skylar doesn't open up easily. They are prone to being self-centred and ignoring what others need from them if it doesn't suit them in the moment. She struggles to empathize with others and largely remains focused on what she has going on in her life, which can lead to people seeing her as uncaring.
Strengths / Skills: When someone wins Skylar's trust, they have gained a loyal friend for life. She is quick on her feet and able to come up with a plan on the fly. How good that plan might be is debatable, but at least it's a plan. They are also able to play multiple instruments (violin, guitar, keyboard).
Fears / Weaknesses: Skylar is deeply afraid of someone finding out that they are a shifter. This is a secret that they have guarded for their entire life, and would prefer to keep under wraps for fear of public reception. They feel lightheaded when exposed to dogsbane, and try to avoid areas that it could be growing. She is also very afraid of large fires. She's fine around a campfire or a stove fire, but if it gets much bigger than that, she will probably turn and run.
How do they react under pressure?: Skylar's natural response is to freeze, which they must then work to overcome. They use this to their advantage by breathing and thinking for an extra moment before taking action. Usually, she will want to call the shots, to come up with some form of plan, but she is also willing to listen if someone else has a better idea.
Are they more heart or head driven?: Skylar is much more heart driven than she has ever been head driven.

Birthplace / Hometown: Skylar was born in a small town in Manitoba. She hasn't been back in years, not since it burned.
What is their connection to music?: Right now, they are a moderately successful alternative rock musician.
How did they survive the past 6 years? She's largely survived by signing with New Bloom Records two years ago, and has landed more than a few local gigs since then. Before that, she worked at a restaurant as a bartender.
Do they know Tori (Echo V)? If so, how? Not in person, no. However, she has heard Tori's voice in her dreams. Whatever this means, Skylar has no idea, but she can't get it out of her head.
Are they hiding anything? Skylar hides her shifting abilities from almost everyone. She also hides their childhood. Their family owed money to a lot of people growing up, which led to them moving around a ton to try to escape the debt. It caught up with them, and eventually got her parents killed. This caused her to have to change her last name from Sharma to Waters.
What motivates them now? Skylar is motivated by a desire to never return to the life that they grew up in, afraid at every turn. They also just have a passion for music and being the centre of attention.
Supernatural Info (If Applicable)
Species Details: Fox Shifter (into a gray fox) Appearance: As a fox, Skylar is about four feet tall. Her fur is a speckled gray on her back, but red and white along her throat and stomach. Her paws are completely white, and the tip of her tail is jet black. Her eyes are a yellow colour that is reminiscent of the gray of her human-form eyes. Abilities / Magic: Skylar can turn into and back from a fox, as well as create small sigils that can produce a single effect.
Limitations / Side Effects: When Skylar becomes a fox, she is only in control for about the first three minutes. After that, the fox inside them takes over and they become "wild" until they are able to transform back into a human. This usually happens either when they're injured or when they fall asleep. As for the sigils, it takes a lot out of them mentally to be able to create even a basic sigil. She is left incredibly exhausted after even a small amount of sigilcrafting, and needs several hours to recover. If she tries to force through this recovery time, she will just black out.
Are their powers public or secret? Skylar keeps their powers secret at all costs. There are very few people who know about them, all of which must be incredibly trusted.
How do their abilities affect their music (if at all)? The peace sigil that they have tattood on their body helps to provide the audience with a small sense of euphoria when listening to her music. It lasts only as long as her voice does, but can easily leave a fan wanting more.
