Raptor ID:
F379
Name:
Ilaya
eye-lay-ah
Age:
5 years old
Gender:
Female
Thoughts On The Situation?:
She didn't mind staying with the scientists, besides when they made her do tests and stuff. But when she realized the professor was wanting to pair her with a male, she was all too ready to leave. While she does have a soft spot for younger raptors, she has no desire to be an actual mother. She personally helped plan the escape. She doesn't like all the extra work she has to do to survive, but she's otherwise content with their new habitat.
Pack Reputation:
The pack knows she was one of the ones who helped everyone escape. Other than that, they probably just see her as a quiet female no one really notices. And she prefers it that way.
Appearance:
Ilaya is around the middle of the pack when it comes to size, standing at 5.4 feet tall and weighing about 219 lbs. However, she always carries herself lower to the ground than necessary - as if she's always stalking something - so she often looks smaller than she really is. Before she escaped, the scientists guessed she does so to have extra effect when she decides she wants to be intimidating. Raising up to her full height when she's normally so small, her teeth bared... The action would scare anything that isn't her packmates. As for her colors, Ilaya's base color is a greyish green. Then she has faint forest green stripes running down her back, starting at her head and ending around the middle of her tail. Lastly, Ilaya has quite a few feathers, all the dark grey in color. A few are on her jaw, back and sides. The rest are on the top of her head, tail and front arms. Overall, Ilaya is built exactly how she's supposed to be: for speed, agility and destruction. She has powerful back legs and sharp teeth that easily slice through meat and even bone.
Personality:
| Independent | Quiet | Observant | Intelligent | Deadly accurate | Loyal | Laid-back | Calm | Lazy | Friendly | Enjoys hunting | Motherly | Patient | Nurturing | Elder vibes
Ilaya isn't flashy, isn't loud. She's quiet, always in the corner, silently watching everything go down. Her strength doesn't come from brute force, but of knowledge. She knows the weaknesses of her packmates, of the scientists who used to take care of them, all because she stayed in the background. She isn't manipulative, per se, in fact she even tries her best to stay out of drama. But if you push her too far? Or mess with someone she cares about? She won't stay silent. She will hit all the right points with deadly accuracy. But besides all that, Ilaya is pretty chill. So chill, in fact, that some would call her a tad lazy. And yes, she'd happily sunbathe instead of patrolling, what's the big deal? While Ilaya is relatively friendly with any creature - even going so far as to let little birds land on her - she is also a predator and loves to sink her teeth into her prey. She happily goes on hunts, even if she avoids any other strenuous activities. She's also surprisingly motherly for her laid-back approach to life. She suspects the professor had been hoping he could pair her with a male and she would give birth to the first natural-born raptors. That didn't happen, of course, but the fact remains. She's very patient with and affectionate towards younger velociraptors, quietly helping them grow into strong adults. She very much acts like an elder, despite only being five years old. Overall, despite her quirks, she is invaluable to her pack.
Strengths:
1. Observant - if you need information, she's the most likely to have it.
2. Great hunter - her drive to see her prey fall makes her an excellent hunter. She uses a mix of clever tricks and bold dashes to bring her target down.
3. Motherly - she can and will make sure the next generation of their pack is strong and prepared. She will not let the young ones fall.
4. Calm - she rarely panics, so she's a valuable asset in times of crisis.
Weaknesses:
1. Lazy - she rather take naps all day than patrol. This can make her a bit unreliable at times, though she always comes through in the tense moments.
2. Stamina - she can't go for long. That's why she always makes sure to make her attacks count.
3. Independent - she can get herself in trouble sometimes, going off on her own because she thinks she knows what she's doing. She doesn't enjoy being told what to do.
4. Eyesight - her eyes aren't the best, a flaw in her design. She doesn't do too well at night or in dark areas.
