The kingdom has been losing the war. The Astrantia kingdom and Columbine kingdom have always been on bad terms with one another, but the assassination of the Astrantia kingdoms crown prince has seemed to seal the deal between the two. Now interlocked within war, the two kingdoms must prepare for the worst and lock their borders, not wanting to deal with the chance of spies, assassins, or bandits taking advantage of their current situation. The Astrantia king and queen know that the chances of them winning are slim against the Columbine kingdom, who are known for their military prowess and traditional values. This much was proven quickly after the first two years of the war, the Astrantia kingdoms already backed up against the wall thanks to their close connections to the Gladiolus Kingdom.

Now fighting against two larger and more prosperous kingdoms, the king and queen know they have to think of a way to turn the tables fast. That is when one of their tacticians suggested something new. Having found that the ground and seas have been conquered throughout the war, it leaves a valuable area for them to take advantage of. The sky. And what better kingdom to take advantage of this than the Astrantia Kingdom? For while Gladiolus and Columbine may have the military prowess that they themselves do not possess, the kingdom has always been plentiful in mystical creatures and the bonds they are able to make with them

So it was secretly declared by the queen that a new battalion be quickly trained in hopes of turning the war in their favor. Young individuals who are not already in the war or do not find themselves pleased with their current standing in the war will be under the tutelage of some of their cavalry leaders and paired with a wyvern or pegasi to learn combat and form a bond with their new partner and battalion. Time is of the essence, it's time to find your place within this losing battle. Will you step up or back down.
