Frankly I don't know the difference. I grew up with the two being the same.

Really? Jokes are funny and Riddles are questions that get you thinking. It's like a smart-joke that isn't supposed to be funny. Sometimes is on accident, though.

Considering that, I've seen jokes being called riddles. I mean, I'm not really sure, they're the same to me, after nearly 5 years of listening to both. |

That's because some people think of jokes like riddles. But if they were the same they wouldn't be named jokes and riddles. IT would all fall under jokes. I'll just count it since you don't know the difference :)
