She tilts her head,"Yes, we could leave now. Beat the tour guides and... tourists." Her gaze flashes towards the exit of the tent. "Our companions should still be waiting for us. Hopefully they haven't been discovered." She was getting very uncomfortable in the tent. The loudness and smell was starting to get to her. Not to mention the way that people were starting to notice the two now. Did they look old enough? Would people start coming over to talk to them? "Yes, we should leave quickly." Her gaze flashes around, noting at least one of the bouncers was staring at them. "Before someone comes over and starts asking questions."

She is quick to follow, her brown eyes warily watching around them as they flee the tent. Her nose wrinkles in disgust as a man pushes past them. The smell that hit her made her gag, that is the worse smell she's ever smelled. She is quick to mutter in Ancient Egyptian under her breath. Her eyes flashing to Khnurn when he fires a wary glance towards her. She follows his lead, her own hand dropping to her keychains. Better safe than sorry.

Relief floods her as they finally exit the tent. She straightens up, no longer feeling cramped by people. "Perhaps fewer people, I don't want our guardians too far away, but taking a heavily trafficked road with them will draw unwanted attention." Her gaze flashes towards the sky. "Hopefully it is still early enough that there isn't a lot of people out and about. The quicker we get there, the better." Although, what they really needed was another magician. She was hoping they would find something at one of these tombs. Perhaps a secret tunnel that led to where the magicians where. Was that too much to hope for? Probably. But surely not all the magicians were gone.

She turns in a circle, trying to locate their guardians. "Do you think they will come to us once we leave the city? Or will we have to go find them?" She muses as she studies the edges of the city, searching for a glimpse of any of their guardians. Was that one? Disguised as a dog? Probably not, considering the way the dog just went into one of the tents.

"We'll find them. They're magic; I suspect they'd be tied to us as we are to them and the gods, so it would make sense that they would know where to find us," he said, hoping he sounded confident. While he couldn't be sure of the validity of his theory, he was more convinced than not. Khnurn exited out the dusty byroad and peered around. Several buses lay silent along the side, uninhabited as of yet. There was a man snoring in a stall near them, but the sign next to him read "closed." Khnurn didn't see a list of hours, but the sun was still barely beginning to show itself--

Oh. The sun was out. Now that he had made note of its presence, he began to feel rejuvenated. The night had been tiresome -- perhaps because of their thousands'-year sleep -- but he felt as though his strength was returning much quicker now. With a new pep in his step, he hurried along the road while periodically checking for their guardians. A speck in the sky caught his eye, and he pointed it out to Zahra. "Could it be Tet?"

The falcon hadn't entered the city with them, but as it could fly, perhaps it had just been circling while they did their business. A raptor's sharp eyes would be helpful in locating the others, if it was indeed the creature. It was drawing nearer, and Khnurn didn't feel any alarm bells going off at its approach, though he only returned to complete comfort after the speck screeched and swooped towards them. Beneath the bird's shadow was the yellow street dog that had gone with them into the city. The creature shifted mid-stride into its original golden jackal form, and the grumpy sphinx materialized not far off.

"That's three of them. There was also the horse, the wolf- uh, Ta, and a couple others, I think," Khnurn noted. He should've paid better attention. A tingling, uncomfortable sensation crawled up his back, and Tet released an unwelcome trill, streaking past the two humans. Khnurn whipped back around to see what had gotten into the bird and grabbed Zahra's arm in alarm. A hunched creature, shriveled like a mummy but emitting a dark, almost sandy mist was creeping towards them. Red light thrummed through the cracks in its body, and as it gave up the pretense of subtlety and stealth, it reared its dry head and began racing at them on all fours.

"Do you think we were blessed with combat skills, by chance?" he asked, his voice higher than he wished it to be. He pulled out his keychain and it elongated into the dual khopesh. Aw, he'd been aiming for the bow. It was too late now, though; Apophis's minion would be on top of them in the time it would take for Khnurn to fumble around with a bow and arrows. Khopesh it was; maybe Zahra would have better luck in the archery department.

She nods, "Then we should start out. Besides, they should still be close." She turns, "Maybe they can shape shift too, into modern animals and blend in." That is what she hoped, perhaps that would make traveling easier. Although, they may get odd looks for how many companions they had. She follows Khnurn's lead, her brown eyes flickering around, the area still seemed to be deserted. Any sign of life came from the gambling tents and she was not going back in there. She sighs, trekking to the different ruins was not going to be very fun. But, she supposed nothing they were about to do would be.

She glances up, ah, the sun was rising. Hm, odd, she was feeling a little more tired. She shoots a side look at Khnurn, was he feeling the same? No, he seemed actually more energized. She stifles a yawn, as she follows him. Uh oh, she hopes that she isn't about to get too sleepy. Her eyes follow his hand, "Hm, perhaps, too far away to see." She shields her eyes from the sun, "Surely they will come to us once we hit the edge of the city."

Relief floods her when the creatures get closer, materalizing back into their original forms. "Hi." She greets them as three of their companions approach. She nods, "I think so, they should just be nearby, especially if Tet and these three are here." She glances at the jackal, who simply blinks back. Well, that did not seem like a negative response. "I wish we could communicate with them better. I think only Ta has spoken." She rubs her face, this was going to be a long journey. What if they couldn't find any other Magicians? What if they couldn't complete their mission. What if....

She jerks out of her thoughts as an odd, dreadful feeling hits her. She whips her head around as Tet lets out a noise. She gasps as Khnurn grabs her arm, "Oh Gods." It was an ugly created, almost mummy-like. "I don't think we should let that mist touch us." That creature gave off the same aura as the large beast they had encountered coming out of their tomb. Was this the same type of creature? A servant of the evil God? Her eyes go wide when the mummy gives up on stealth, racing at them, oh Gods that was creepy.

"I hope to the Gods we were." As she follows suit, yanking her keychains out. The quiver rests easy on her shoulder as the keychain morphs into a bow, she grabs an arrow, knocks it and takes aim. It was almost like a natural and easy motion, as she moves. She does feel a little sluggish, especially the higher the sun got. But when she released the arrow, it flew true. The mummy-creature screams when the arrow hits, giving both of them enough time to fully gather themselves. "I don't think we should let that thing touch us at all." She knocks another arrow. The mummy was busy trying to get the arrow out, squealing and screeching.

( I am so sorry that I disappeared for so long, life has been so busy and stressful :( )
