I sat lost in thought but I eventually heard a crash, snapping my neck up to see what happened. Jesper was back, and he had a male pinned to the ground. They fought over me for a second, but Jesper almost snapped the male's neck at their exchange. I was still slightly numb from the experience of the other name but the entire end of the exchange left me confused. I found myself staring at Jesper with a sympathetic look. He had a stoic face on, attempting to hide how he really felt as the male ran off. There was also something else distracting him, but then I remembered my little situation. I moved my tail to cover the scent up the best I could. I immediately became flustered, my face turning red. I wanted to hide, I was embarrassed, but the scent was not going to go away soon.

Uri's blushing made me temporarily forget about what that male had said. He was right though, i was an abandoned misfit. And the reason he knew about that? Well, he's my childhood friend who turned on me. To this day i dont understand what i did for him to turn on me like this. But i didn't think about that any longer because a flustered female was infront of me. While i wasn't ready to play 'not a care in the world', i was glad to be able to be with Uri. Even if her sent was going to drive me crazy in the end. As she spoke to me, my friend slipped away. I could tell the sent was getting to him too and i could also tell he didn't want to pick a fight with me.

I only nodded when he agreed that I should move farther in but I was confused that he said he would go with me. I turned a bit redder as he just continued, I didn't know how to feel about it.

I didn't want to go too far in that my youngest siblings would run into us, nor would I want to have to deal with one of his angry mates. To be honest, i wasn't expecting Uri to know so much about the humans that lived here. Let alone for her to have grew up alongside one. "Interesting." I mumbled before listening to her again. I listened and immediately felt a little bad for keeping him up. He was clearly tired. I got comfortable and lay down, it was peaceful and I could hear the waves crashing against the ice since we were right against the colony's edge.

"ēdrū sȳrī" I said before I felt sleep consume me. It was peaceful, it was more than the usual comfort, because not only was my father's scent everywhere, but Jesper's was there as well.

I was slightly glad when Uri let me to go to sleep. I would've stayed up with her, but i couldn't lie that i wasn't tired. I got into a comfortable position before closing my eyes with a tired sigh. "Ao tolī." I yawned as i looked at her one last time before closing my eyes for good. As i layed there, i listened to the sound of the waves crashing up against the colony. I had originally been planning to just doze so i could react fast if any males came but it was so peaceful i ended up falling into a deep sleep. I dont know why, but it was comforting to sleep with a female close by.
