Liri looked over at Emerald when she spoke. "I hope so too" she agreed softly, "And Wyatt, I will turn turn you into a fur coat if you mess around" she threatened in a subtly teasing tone. Despite the teasing the threat was still there, she didn't have the patience for his pestering today. She stretched herself out, holding back a yawn that threatened to escape, then finally shifted for the second time today. It did feel good to be in this form even if she was a bit tired. Training would help keep her mind off that. She turned her attention to Sombra once more, worry showing in her expression for a moment. "Try not to think too much and focus on simply controlling your body. It might help" she suggested quietly. Thinking about it, it would have probably been a better idea to let him sleep aswell and simply work around things so he could get the same rest as Delta, but it was too late for that now. She'd have to make sure he atleast eat as soon as possible. Emery shifted and shook her fur out before making sure all the torn clothes were piled up. Really it would save alot of their clothset to undress before shifting but at the same time it was alot easier and practical to just shift while dressed. They didn't pay for the clothes. Besides, there wasn't always to the time to undress first, and neither did would they always gave the privacy. So in the end, just tearing through the clothes cost alot less effort and was more convenient. Everyone was soon shifted and clothes piled in the area that had been pointed out and they were ready for training. Emery found it hard to resist the temptation to curl up and take a nap with the sunlight starting to warm her fur pleasantly.

Sargent Hannes watched with silent surprise and awe as Liri, Emery, Wyatt, Sombra, and Emerald shifted into their wolf forms. He knew they were bigger than normal wolves but he hadn't suspected that they also varied in their heights between each other, as again he had read the files on them but the pictures he had were of each of them but individually. So seeing them all next to each other was better than he could have imagined, he could already see them running through the battlefields dodging bullets. Once he was sure they were prepared he ordered them to line up and get ready in their spots, " try to bring your dummy to safety as fast as you can. Ready.....GO!" He shouted at the 5 of them, his voice seeming to make Emerald jump.
Emerald scratched her side before heading over to her spot, seeing her dummy in the mess of obstacles. She looked to her right and saw Emery, giving her a nod of encouragement, "We got this" She said before turning to Sombra, reminding herself to keep an eye on him during this training so he didn't hurt himself. She jumped when Sargent Hannes's voice boomed behind them, and as soon as that happened there was a sound of gunfire from their 'enemies' Emerald quickly ran into the field of obstacles and rubber bullets, watching as everyone else did the same.
Sombra ran forward when the Sargent had told them to go, if he wanted to get through this he had to do what Liri said, focus on just controlling his body. He ducked behind a concrete barrier to avoid the barrage of rubber bullets. He focused on keeping his legs from freezing up being in a crouched position. Sombra moved to a different spot and took a few deep breaths, the world was spinning again but he couldn't focus on that too much right now. He shook his head lightly before two trying to focus on the task at hand, he could feel the others watching him like small hawks but he was going to go as far as he could by himself in this state. Liri set her paws firmly in the ground as they stood in line, glancing over at the other before fixing her gaze on the course she was about to go through. Focusing her breathing and mind on it. The Sargent's voice boomed out behind them and she shot forwards, sending her onto the field and into the storm of rubber bullets. She made it to cover and glanced to see where the others were at before waiting a few seconds for the right moment to move again. When she could spare a second, she would glance over at Sombra to check on him. Emery looked back towards Emerald and gave a nod in return, taking well to the encouragement. The Sargent's voice made her flinch a little, but she instantly surged forwards with the rest. Her small form and speed allowed her to cover a good distance in the first run before she had to take cover. The rubber bullets barely missing her in the last few strides. She took a second to catch her breath, finding where the others were at.

Hating the feeling of being intensely watched, Sombra waited for another opening to run to a different spot. He lifted his head and looked for a different spot that would get him closer to the dummy he was supposed to rescue. Sombra took a deep breath as he saw another spot just in front of him and prepared himself for another round of dizziness as he jumped over the concrete barrier and hid behind a crate. His dummy wasn't too far now, his was one of the closer placed ones thankfully. So Sombra put all his energy and focus into another jump and a short run as he made it to the dummy, grabbing the dummy by its arm and pulling it onto his back. This action however caused Sombra to stay still for too long as the weight caught him slightly off guard, or maybe that caused his body was a bit weaker at the moment but it caused him to wait a second too long to adjust. He yelped sharply in surprise and took cover when two rubber bullets hit him, one hit his hip and the other hit the lower part of his hind leg. These may have not been real bullets but they still hurt, Sombra growled at himself for his hesitation, he would fine he just needed a second for the slight pain to ebb away.
Emerald took a quick peek at Sombra who was huddled behind a concrete barrier, he looked to be doing ok so far so she turned her attention back to herself and moved ahead further. Hiding behind a large rock from the seemly non-stop barrage of rubber bullets, she was still far from the dummy she was supposed to rescue. Just as she was going to move again, Emerald noticed out of the corner of her eye Sombra jumping over the barrier and rushing over to his dummy. Shocked that he was the first to get his dummy but worried when he helped.
He got hit by the one of bullets but Sombra looked alright as he ducked behind something. She decided to be the next one to get her dummy as she quickly moved forward but she was beaten by Emery who was already ahead of her. Edited at April 25, 2021 01:10 AM by Moonwing

Liri had gotten into a comfortable pace moving through the obstacles, closing a good amount of distance between her and the dummy that she had to reach. A yelp made her stop herself from bolting to the next point of cover. Her head coming up and looking in the direction it came from. It was Sombra. She wanted to check if he was okay, but for now she would have to be happy from just looking. He seemed to be fine, if a little frustrated. She'd ask him once they were done with this. Turning her attention back to her own task, she shot onwards. Soon seeing Emerald and Emery starting to retreat with their dummies. And soon she had reached her own, carefully pulling it over her back and starting to head back. Emery hesitated when she heard a yelp, wanting to look, but in that moment she wasn't covered. A few bullets impacted by her paws and she just barely managed to hold back a startled yelped as she bounced back a little before running on again. Soon reaching her dummy moments before Emerald. Wyatt was the last to reach his dummy, which was not a surprise. He had, however, been surprised to see Sombra had gotten there first. Realizing this when he had looked over to see who had yelped. He was also the last to get back to the starting point and was relieved to finally be out of the hail storm of rubber bullets. Carrying the extra weight had atleast not been much of a problem for him.

The Sargent raised his hand as a command to end the storm of rubber bullets. He looked at his watch and was a little impressed at how fast it took for them all to retrieve and then return the dummies. He allowed them to talk among themselves before he would ask the guards to reset to course.
Once Emerald slid the dummy off her back, she wanted to check on Sombra but Liri seemed to be already on that. She remembered seeing Emery getting hit so she decided to check up on her first " Are your paws ok Emery?" She asked her friend, Emerald didn't get hit by any of the rubber bullets but it looked like they hurt when they hit Sombra and Emery.
As soon as he got back to the starting point, Sombra quickly slid the dummy on the ground and then laid down to catch his breath. The pain from being hit in his back leg had already started to become unnoticable. His stomach quietly grumbled and Sombra just chose to ignore it as he just wanted to stay still to stop the dizzy feeling he suddenly got, as well as a nausiating one. Hopefully if he didn't think too much about it then time would fly and it would be lunch, his ears perked up and Sombra looked up when he heard someone approching him.

Emery looked up when Emerald came towards her smiled slightly. "Oh, yes. Just got startled more than anything. Didn't hit me directly" she answered with a soft laugh. The rubber balls had struck close enough to her paws for them to sting a bit, but hadn't really hit them. She sat down with a sigh. They weren't near done with training yet, but it was still a relief that the first round was over. Wyatt dumped his dummy and glanced around at the others. They all seemed alright, apart from Sombra. Liri was already on her way to check on him though and Emerald was with Emery, so he sat himself down to take get in the short break they were allowed to have before the course was reset and they had to go again. Liri took a second to breath, setting down her dummy, then went towards Sombra. "You don't look so good. How are you feeling?" She asked gently, trying not to appear too concerned. Not wanting to draw any attention that could get them in trouble. She should have thought to try sneaking his breakfast along incase he felt like eating. He'd need the energy soon with this training.

Sombra saw that it was Liri and lifted his head a bit to look at her better. "I'm feeling a lot of things right now..." He said in a joking tone, trying to make himself feel better about how he was feeling. "but uh just feeling a little dizzy...and a little nausious but I'll be ok." Sombra answered as honestly as he could, as he wasn't sure himself. "The rubber bullet pain is already starting to go away so thats a plus" He said as he laid his head back down.
"That's good to hear" Emerald said, she wondered how much the rubber bullets would hurt when hit directly but she didn't want to get hit just to find out. She peaked over to Liri and Sombra and saw them chatting, "Hopefully Sombra is alright, I'm sure Liri will tell us if he ok" Emerald said as he looked out at the obstacle field, seeing the guards changing it up a bit and taking the dummies that they had brought back.

Liri offered a slight smile and sat down by him. "Make sure to rest whenever you can. And then you have to eat when we go back for lunch. It won't do you any good to go without food any further than you have to" she said quietly. It probably wasn't doing him any good to train on an empty stomach right now either, but she make sure if it that he didn't go past lunch without eating. Emery nodded, looking over at the other pair. By the looks of it he wasn't doing so great. "You doing good Wyatt?" She asked after a moment, glancing over at him. He was being weirdly quiet. "Surprisingly, yes" came the amused response and she laughed softly before turning her attention to the course. Watching curiously the new path forming that they would have to take.

Sargent Hannes walked back over to the group of soldiers as they were talking, the guards had finished up setting up the second run for the exercise. He noticed that Sombra seemed off, but since the wolf was facing away from the Sargent, he figured it was just the effect of him getting hit with the rubber bullets. "Break times over!" He raised his voice to quickly get their attention. "Get up and get ready to go again. keep up the speed of how you did the first and it will be lunchtime very quickly" Hannes said as he walked away, back to his spot where he oversaw the training.
Sombra nodded to what Liri told him to do, he would be definitely eating once they got back to lunch. Even if he saw the image in his head again, he needed to eat if he wanted to function the rest of the day. That and he hated feeling like this, it made him feel vulnerable and useless to his friends, though that was probably just the wolf inside him. He looked pained to hear the Sargent tell them to get up and go to their positions, Sombra forced himself up even though the feelings hadn't fully gone away when he was laying down. "Just have to...get this over with..." Sombra mumbled to himself and Liri as he stood at his place.
"That's good to hear," Emerald said at Wyatt's response to Emery's question. "It's just odd to you're being quieter this morning, but it's understandable" She understood that whenever Wyatt was really focused on doing something, he would still be his silly, annoying, sarcastic self, but only at some points. The rest of the time he would be quiet. Emerald was about to say something else but then Sargent Hannes spoke up, scaring her a little bit. She sighed and got up with Emery and Wyatt, "back to work" Emerald said, looking between the two wolves with a small smile.
Two hours passed and Sargent Hannes concluded the training for the lunch break after what felt like forever to Sombra. The Sargent loaded the guards and the wolf soldiers after they had shifted back, into the trucks. Once everyone was in, the 15-minute journey back to the base started, this only made Sombra feel that time was going slow as he leaned a little on Liri who was sitting next to him.
