Emelote's gaze flashes up, finding herself face to face with the Mask from the tavern. Emelote half smirks half grimaces before she spins gracefully out of his reach. "Now, now. I have no intention of stopping. So, go on. Help that poor man." Emelote makes a vague gesture towards the man who was still trying to find her, even though he was blinded. The people were yelling and it was clear they were torn between their hatred for thieves and their hatred of the Masks. Providing Emelote the perfect escape. Emelote salutes the Masks before slipping away through the crowd. The second Emelote found a shadow, she was gone. Hidden by the shadows and unable to be found by mere humans. Only magic could withdraw her from the shadows now/

Joshua tried his absolute hardest to get ahold of Emelote, but the crowd proved to be less than helpful for him in his pursuit. He ordered the crowd to move away from him as he pushed, but someone pushed back, and since Em was no longer in eyesight, Joshua turned to where the hands came from and looked around for a moment, telling the crowd to surrender whoever shoved him. However, that didn't happen, instead someone else shoved him, and the crowd was proving to become more hostile against Joshua, so he stepped back and was about to run away until a few more Masks showed up to back him up. Joshua told them the situation and they started to work on dispersing the crowd and finding the girl, knowing that if she got away she would only cause more problems for them.

Emelote was long gone, she had slipped into the shadows and that had been the end for the Mask. The shadows were a dark elf's best friend, a trait she had thankfully inherited from her father. Emelote continues on to the Guild, a small frown on her face as she enters. Ryan intercepts her before she could get much further inside,"Em, you seem upset." Emelote dips her head,"The Masks almost caught me today. They know my face now." Ryan frowns,"That's not good." Emelote shakes her head,"No.. It's not. But the shadows were large, I slipped away easy. But..." Ryan nods,"You'll have to keep your head low for a while, maybe they'll forget you if we stir up different troubles." Emelote frowns,"I don't really plan on staying inside, you know how I am."

Joshua had hoped that the crowd would easily disperse when ordered to, but they didn't, instead they stood firm and in no uncertain terms told the Masks that they could still be there since they didn't commit a crime and they still had businnes to attend to, but now everyone wanted them to leave so they could find the girl effectively. Joshua began to push his way past a girl, but a young man took offense to that and pushed back. Clearly seeing who pushed him this time, he grabbed at the young man and tried to take him down, inciting the crowd even more and being two steps away from starting a riot in the market place. The other Masks tried to calm the crowd and get them to leave, but they were steadfast, keeing the young man and woman away from the guards and not going away. Joshua was about to dive back into the crowd but a senior Mask stepped in and told all of them to back off. He took a moment to look before nodding his head and left the marketplace, knowing that he would have to write a report about the incident and it would look... less than stellar.

Ryan grimaces,"Alright, well I know I can't stop you, so all I can suggest is keep your head down. And maybe stop with the magic for a little?" Emelote shrugs,"Maybe, maybe not. I mean it's not like they can catch me, shadows are everywhere. And even if they do catch me they won't ever get anything out of me, so..." Emelote shrugs.
(Sorry, its kinda short)

Joshua sat in silence as the head of the Masks in the town chewed him out relentlessly. The captain, adorned in a black Mask with a gold stripe down the center, always had plenty of things to say when someone did something wrong, and his wordsmithing skills were on full display against Joshua after he filled out and submitted the report in regards to the incident with the crowd. Thankfully for him, Joshua was able to let the words roll off his back as the captain conitnued on with his tirade. The captain didn't have much respect for the newer recruits, Joshua included, but this was starting to drag out, even in regards to the captain. Eventually he was dismissed and was allowed to return to patrolling the streets, but now he had revenge in his mind. He needed to find that girl and bring her in to make all of that trouble and ruckus worth it.

Emelote had reluctantly chosen to stay in and watch the young ones play, before heading to the training room where the youngsters were being trained with a knife. Emelote nods in approval as Maddie knocks over a girl, and swiftly gets her to surrender. The youngsters had plenty of potential and Emelote was looking forward to seeing how the future for the Guild would go. If the Masks didn't bust them, which was probably not going to happen as the Guild kept well hidden and those who were captured never told. That was one of the oath's taken when entering the Guild. After all the Guild was a massive operation that threatened the King and his role on the throne.

Joshua walked with a pep in his step, confusion and anger fueling the quickened pace. He murmured angry bits of nothing of value to himself as he continued to move about, not paying nearly enough attention as he should while he walked. Stupid captain and his stupid nitpicking... stupid Guild and... aghh! Why can't even just get along and follow the king's laws?! He took up post at a popular blacksmithing store, knowing that people have tried to steal the goods that came out of it, and plus the owner of the shop had... "convinced" the captain that he was worth the attention, so there he stood, acting as a bouncer and active deterrant. This is absolutely ridiculous. Joshua thought to himself as he watched the customers come and go from the shop. Why does this blacksmith need a Mask here? He's got enough employees, and on top of that he can just grab a weapon in case anyone tries anything funny, so what's the point?

Emelote watches as a few of the Guild heads out to get a few scores in and before turning her attention back to the training. Now Maddie and Kieran were fighting and the young women was holding her own against the larger and broader man. Emelote calls out,"Use his strength against him." Maddie nods and ducks under Kieran's blow, grabbing his arm and yanking him onward using his momentum against to throw him forward and to the ground. Maddie at once lunges and plants her foot on Kieran's neck keeping him pinned. Emelote nods in approvement,"Good, good. Kirean, if someone does that to you, as soon as you hit the ground spin and kick out with your foot."

Joshua stood guard at the blacksmith's shop, arms crossed and merely radiating a sort of angry energy, and somehow the customers passing by him were able to notice, which may have been able to discourage potentially illegal activity... or not, but frankly Joshua didn't care. He leaned against the outside wall of the shop, glaring at everyone while he was on guard. I can't get one girl from a crowd of angry people and all of a sudden the captain thinks that I'm unreliable for patrols. What a joke. He was about to simply walk off, but as he peered inside, of course someone was trying to steal something. Joshua couldn't get a good look at what happened, but from what he saw it looked like a thief was trying to make off with a dagger... figures, it was small, and if things got serious, it could be pulled out in an instant. Joshua carefully moved through the store before placing a firm hand on the shoulder on the alleged thief, but before he could even say anything the thief slashed out with the dagger, catching Joshua in the right arm and cutting into the clothing he was wearing, but thankfully it wasn't deep enough to draw blood.
