His school was only about a 5-minute walk, so he might be a little late. Note to self, wake up earlier, He thought as his heart started to beat faster the closer he got to the school. He arrived at the school just as everyone was getting to their classes, now to find his first class. Room 208, okay so second floor. He made his way up the stairs and to the classroom with no problem. His heart immediately sank as he walked into the room and his eyes darted around. He found a seat not taken near the back and sat at it. He hated teenagers, they were all so judgy. He looked around at all the people with one in particular catching his eye. A blonde guy, with the most beautiful eyes. He admired him for a bit before turning his attention to the teacher that had now just walked in. Sky moved his hair behind his ears as he put his elbow on the desk and his cheek in his hand, resting his jawbone in his palm. His heart settled a bit but was still beating faster than usual. He did have a tad bit of social anxiety, making it hard to be at school and jobs. He listened as the teacher began speaking. Skylar couldn't help but keep adverting his attention to the one boy. He was oh-so-beautiful, Sky thought. Okay pay attention, he doesn't even know you and he's probably straight, he said to himself. It was also the first day, he couldn't be that thirsty for someone. Sky genuinely just likes to stare at people he admires, and this boy happened to be one of them. |

┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ Rome looked over from his conversations as a few more students came into the classroom. None of them he really took a second glance at until something caught his gaze. Well, someone more rather than a thing. Are those green eyes? he thought to himself. Doesn't matter. Rome turned his attention to the pen sitting on his desk but that didn't last for long. He could hear his friends whispering and snickering about the new kid. He made a disgruntled face for only a minute before joining them. He turned in his chair towards the kid. He didn't say a word but he did stare. He spread his legs and tapped the pen on his desk, eyes locked on the mystery. I don't understand why you're this interested.. he thought. He could still hear the snickers of his friends, it only got slightly louder when Rome turned around. With every passing second Rome analyzed the kid. His eyes running from the guys long beautiful hair to the out of place nike wrist band. |

Skylar eyes kept focusing from his friends to the guy. Ah, he's one of those guys, the popular ones, He said to himself, slightly rolling his eyes. He decided not to look anymore, seeing as he could hear all of them whispering. He guessed it was about him since most kept glancing over at him. He paid attention to the rest of the class for the most part but couldn't help but glance at the boy ever so often. The bell rang and Skylar stood up immediately, grabbing his bag and leaving. He go to the door before everyone else and swiftly turned right. He checked his phone for the classes that he wrote down. His next class was music, so he then made his way down to the music room. He already hated his first class because of all those guys, he knew they would be a pain in the ass the whole semester. Its your last year of highschool, you can do this, He repeated to himself as he walked into the music room. He was the first one there so he grabbed a seat at the back in one of the corners. |

┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ The bell had rang and Romes fixation had left faster than he could utter a word. Rome didn't want to waste much time. Shit he thought. He stuffed his work in his back pack and thought to search for him. His friends kept pestering him and asking why he was in a rush. " Someones eager to learn ". " This isn't Rome". Yada yada yada. Just more questions followed up with no answers. Rome glanced at his friends and smirked. " I'll see yall fellas around " he added before making a dash to the door. Rome stepped foot into the hallways, one strap of his backpack slung on his arm. His deep brown eyes scanned everyone and anybody around him. But none of them were him. None of them are him. he thought before deciding to give up the search. He didn't bother to reconnect with his friends. Rome walked to his next class. Music.. he echoed. He sauntered into his classroom thinking of where he could be. He scratched his blond head and..there he is. Rome quickly but smoothly took an empty seat in the back next to his mystery man. Ugh, "Mystery Man"... what is wrong with me. Rome dropped his bookbag down and took out the same pen as before. He played around with it before purposefully dropping it and letting it role next to the new guy. Waiting for the boy to notice he put on his smoothest smile and waited to make eye contact. |

Skylar's heart sank once more when the guy he had admired before walked into the classroom. Isn't this just lovely, but at least his friends aren't with him, He thought as he quickly focused his attention elsewhere. He watched the guy through his prereferral vision as he sat down at the desk beside him. They were the only two in there, seeing as that this was the 10-minute break in between classes. Most people were with their friends or vaping in the bathroom. Fuck... His heartbeat sped up a bit so he decided to take a deep breath quietly. He managed to calm himself but then he heard something drop. His attention went straight to it as he looked down. It was a pen, his pen... Sky did the right thing and went to go pick it up for him. As he was coming back up he looked at the guy, making eye contact. His heart skipped a beat but he tried to contain himself. He wasn't just nervous because of his social anxiety, it was partially because of how good-looking the guy is. He held it out and gave him a little smile. |

┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ Rome instantly smiled harder when he saw the guys face up close. " Thanks lil man. Can't do much work without this can I? ". They are green, he thought to himself. Rome took his pen back gratefully while making it appoint to brush the teens hand. Woah. What was that about. Rome blinked and he softened his face. There was no need to be smiling that hard at another man. Rome began to second think if he should reunite with his friends during this break period. What would he gain from that. No point. He shook his hair a bit and put the pen behind his ear " Wasn't expecting the silent treatment " he jokes, "You're sitting next to *the next best thing*". |

Skylar smiled even more at the sight of his smile. It was beautiful, he was beautiful... Okay, I can't be this gay. His heart sped up as he felt the other boy's hand graze softly against his. He blushed every so slightly, turning his attention to the front of the classroom. He couldn't decide if he wanted to talk or not, anxiety was killing him. After a moment Sky perked up to the sound of the guy's voice again. He looked over his way, letting him finish before replying. "Well, I didn't know what to say." He said in a friendly but quiet tone with just a hint of nervousness. His voice was soft and honeyed. He didn't have one of those entirely deep voices but still enough to tell he was a guy, you could say he has more feminine traits. |

┌── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──┐ He's pretty like a girl, Rome thought. He instantly shook his head before responding to him. " A simple hey ? Maybe ? Or was I not deemed worthy ". Rome let out a chuckle before he did anything else. He sat back in his chair and spread his legs for comfort. Rome tiltd his head backwards, his slender neck bent gently, gracefully before his adams apple growing more apparent. Rome exhailed still sitting the same way before folding his arms across his chest. " Anyways dorky, i'm Rome. I run shit around this school. So i've seen just about every face.. but yours. Start talkin ". Rome slowly turned his head to look at the mystery. What the actual hell. WHY did you call him a dork. Why is he so quiet? You're scaring him Rome. His eyes lowered as he looked the guy up and down a few times before speaking. |

Skylar looked at him with innocent eyes as he spoke, not bearing a word until he was done. He intimidated him, making his breath quicken. He examined the boy, up and down as he adjusted the way he sat. He couldn't help but glance down as he spread his legs but he quickly looked back up. He listened as the boy began to speak again. "Im Skylar or just Sky and I just moved here so this is my first and last year here," Sky said again quietly but more confidently. Fuck why did I say so much. He second-guessed himself but shrugged it off as adjusted the way he was sitting. He usually sat with his face resting in his hand on the desk, with his back slightly arched. He looked back up at Romes's eyes before looking at his lips, his eyes were charming yet angelic. |

That eye contact, did he just look at my lips?..Gahdamn. Rome didn't finish his sentence for a solid few seconds. He wasn't sure what he just seen. Or thought of. Or is thinking of. Get a grip. You're a grown ass man. "..Something new to me." He cleared his throat abruptly before easing back into his tilted head position. "Anyway, why did you move so late, and out of all places why here?" he asked. It was the only normal thought he's had so far while speaking with Sky. Something about Sky interested Rome, but he doesn't know wgat it is or why it interestes him to begin with. Never before has he cared this much to speak to somebody besides his family. Or flirting with random chicks. Rome looked into Skys eyes. They look innocent, pure. I can't tell what he's feeling, He paused. Nor does it fucking matter. Get a grip. Just try. |
