The young woman nods,"Well, good luck, I hear the Guild is very hard to catch." The young woman pulls the hood back up, smirking at the irony before continuing on naturally. Once out of sight of the Masks and tavern, she slips into the shadows, finding the way back to the Guild's hideout swiftly. The young woman knocks on the door, and the little peephole opens,"Who is it?" The young woman replies,"Tis quite a beautiful day today, is it not?" The gruff voice responds,"Indeed it is, even with the winds blowing." The young woman nods,"I always carry an umbrella regardless." The peephole closes and a few seconds later the door comes swinging open. "Welcome home, Rene." Now, not many in the Guild knew her real name, so they often just shortened her thief name: Nightmare Rene. The young woman nods,"Thank you, do you know where Ryan is?" The guard gestures,"In his office."
"Aw, Em, I heard the report from the boy. I suspect you shook the Masks off?" Emelote nods,"Of course, I always do." Ryan smirks,"I know, that is why you are my second in command after all." Emelote chuckles,"What about the boy? Is he shaken?" Ryan shakes his head,"No, just startled. He will receive better training from now on, but no, he is in good shape." Emelote nods,"Good, good."

Eventually a higher up member of the White Masks had arrived to the scene and Joshua was able to break off and continue his patrol of the various streets... after Joshua told him everything he gathered from his own detective work. Soon enough he was able to continue his work and began strolling on his patrol yet again, but after walking down only a few streets he ran into a couple of young kids, and before Joshua could even react they hailed him with tomatoes. Most of them missed, but a few hit him and covered his outfit in red juice. Not breaking stride he chased down what he thought was the oldest out of the group, but unfortunately he was still a kid, so more than likely he would get a slap on the wrist and be sent on his way. He placed a stern shoulder on the kid's shoulder and looked at him in the eyes. "You're coming with me, and unless you want to actually spend time in jail, I suggest you don't run again." The kid looked at him with wide eyes before nodding slowly and walking with him. Just when he thought that he could have a moment of peace, the image of a Mask arresting a kid drew a few citizens together to heckle him and shame him for not showing mercy on the kid, but Joshua ignored them with the exception of not be rough on the kid to appease them slightly. After a bit more walking he walked to the city jail and talked to them about what happened and sure enough, they gave the kid a warning and told Joshua to clean up his uniform, which he did.

"Em, take out some of the youngsters. Take them to the stall market, don't allow them to steal. But show them how it's done, make a teaching moment out of it." Ryan's eyes light with mischief,"And if you feel like riling up the Masks again, feel free to do so. Just make sure the youngsters are safely out of sight first." Emelote smirks,"As you wish." The young woman turns on her heel, sweeping out of the room as she heads for the youngsters barracks, leaning against the wall as the kids look up. The barracks were separated by a wall and were two separate rooms
However the doors were pretty large and both were open, so she could see into both. "So... Who wants to come with me to the stall market?" A bunch of heads, they were all aged anywhere from 13 to 18. There were the kids which were kids under the age of 12, youngsters which were 13-18, adults which were 18 and up, elders which were those who were no longer able to thief but had served the Guild well and were well respected. Then Ryan, Emelote and the other three officers each had their own rooms.
"It's not a thieving trip, at least not for you youngsters. Ryan wants me to take some of you out and give you some training and maybe cause some mischief for the Masks." A lot of hands lowered and she was left with two boys and two girls. "Kieran, Lucas, Poppy, and Maddie. Come along then, don't forget your cloaks." The four leap up, they were best friends and the same age at the age of 15.
Emelote leads the group out,"Come, the stall market awaits us." Smirks fall across the groups face as they move swiftly. Once at the stall market, Emelote begins to speak. "Rule number one is never draw attention to yourself when your hood is down. People will remember you if you cause trouble and your hood is down. Only cause trouble when the hood is up." There were nods and Emelote continues,"Rule two is always have a plan os escape, and a back of plan just in case something goes wrong." Another set of nods and Emelote finishes,"And always, always, always take a chance to taunt the Masks if they are around." Smirks were thrown around and Emelote sets out the plan.
"I'm going to go to the jewelry stall, cause some commotion, and possibly draw the Masks over. The second I glance over towards you four, then start off. I'll join you quickly and we'll make our way back to the Guild." Another nod and Emelote starts off. It didn't take long and Emelote had pocketed a bunch of things, pulling her hood up as she starts off. Emelote purposely bumps into a man who at once snaps at her. Emelote says nothing, simply making the man madder.
"You little--" Emelote's magic spreads at once, and one by one people's vision begins to fade to black. Screaming erupts and someone yells,"Dark magic!" Emelote smirks as she glances at her team who start off, slinking silently into the shadows. Emelote however takes her time and slips into the shadows as she slowly allows the magic to fade.
(Sorry, this one is kind of long)

Joshua continued on his patrol, but sure enough yet another situation was presented to him; the stall market, a smaller portion of the main market but still important nonetheless, had desended into chaos, with many of them claiming that dark magic was highly suspect. With a heavy sigh, he walked to where it was but stopped and jumped back when his vision was starting to fade to black. Ok... it wasn't some form of sleeping spell; everyone was still up and fully aware, save for their vision being gone, so maybe it was just some form of blinding magic... hopefully temporary. He stopped and took another look before noticing a group of young kids. Well... that figures. A group of young kids causing mischief. Was it just harmless mischief... or something more to it? Staying out of the general area, he walked over to the group of kids and stared at all of them. They were definitely teenagers, so the punishments being handed out to them would be more strict than when they were kids, but he needed to figure out why they were there to begin with and if they were just caught in the crossfire. "Stay right there. I just have a few things I need to ask you..." He took a step closer and got a better look at all of them, not noticing anything out of the ordinary or anything that alarmed him, but he still needed to ask around. "I'm sure you noticed the... scene. Anything I should... know about since I saw you all there? Has any of you been blinded as a result too?" Joshua said in a lackadasical tone, hoping that if he was more easy going then the group might loosen up and tell him more.

Emelote had leapt up onto the roof, hidden by her hood and the taller roof beside her gave her shadows to hide in. While the kids had insisted on staying and watching, to which Emelote had agreed. Though Emelote stiffens as a Mask approaches, perhaps she should have warned them back into the shadows as well. But alas it was too late, and Emelote cocks an eyebrow as she realizes it was the same Mask from the tavern. That made Emelote glad she was hidden in the shadows, being found at two scenes where dark magic was at mass was not a good thing for her.
As long as the youngsters lied well, then Emelote would have no reason to extend the magic to the Mask to allow the five to escape back to the Guild. But Emelote was ready to leap in and defend the four if needed. Kieran takes command,"Yea, we were coming to the market to see if there was anything new or interesting, but after about five minutes suddenly everyone lost their sight." Maddie nods,"We all just grabbed each other and started walking, hoping that it would go away and hoping we didn't walk into any kind of danger."
Emelote smirks, the kids were good liars, but were they good enough to slip past the king's guard? Emelote glances back up at the scene, as soon as the Mask had finished his interview with the teenagers, she would release the spell. People were still stumbling around, and some had actually found their way out of the spell zone. Some were still wailing about their eyesight and Emelote had the urge to make the blindness permeant, but she wasn't that cruel. Not since the people hadn't done anything to deserve it. Emelote returns her attention to her wards and the Mask below.

Joshua was about to open his mouth, but he stopped himself and merely turned his head towards the scene to buy himself a bit of time to think about how to react. Really? They were there to see if anything new was for sale? Wouldn't they go to the main part of the main part of the market instead of the stall market for new things? If that was the case, then being here wouldn't make sense. "Okay..." He casually crossed his arms and continued to look at the people stumbling around before returning his gaze to the kids. Judging from their clothing, they weren't the type to really enjoy shopping, and the longer he thought about it, the less true the story sounded. "So... I'm guessing either you didn't find anything interesting or you didn't have enough time to look around before... all of that happened." He tilted his head as he continued looking at the kids, trying to see if they had anything stuffed in their pockets, but maybe they were innocent in all of this. As he was talking to the kids, a second Mask walked up from behind the kids and looked at Joshua. "Anything going on here?" The other guard asked him. "Just asking them if they know anything about what's happening behind me." Joshua glanced at the guard before a smirk crossed his face. Maybe having this second guard would cause them to feel nervous in case they did have something to hide.

Maddie shrugs,"We were about to head for the main market as well, but then the blindness hit." All four kids held their gazes steady, it would take a lot to make them break. Even as a second Mask approaches. Kieran bobs his head,"We couldn't find anything that we wanted, so we were gonna skim through the main market before heading home." Emelote narrows her eyes at the second Mask, tensing up. Perhaps it was about time for her to cut in and perhaps play the adopted mother, or babysitter. Whatever was needed to get them out. (Sorry it's short. I'm on my phone)

As the kids talked, the second Mask took a better look at them and visually checked from his angle for anything that was potentially stolen, but even he didn't find anything out of the ordinary. Joshua continued looking at them before sighing and deciding that there was no reason to continue grilling them. "Okay then." He looked up at the second Mask and the other guard shook his head, which told Joshua that it was time to let them go. "I don't have anytihng else. You are all free to go." He was about to watch them go, but a blinded individual grabbed his shoulder and begged him to dispell the magic, and with a sigh he led the second guard to begin helping those who were blinded, not expecting a thank you from any of them as they left the kids. (You're fine.)

The four blink and nod, flinching back in surprise as a blind person stumbled up. The kids take a few steps back before turning around heading back the way they came. Talking to each other in hushed whispers, Emelote silently following from above. Once a safe distance away, Emelote drops down to join them a big grin on her face,"Well done you four, now that's how it's done." Emelote leads the way into the Guild, and once safe inside she splits the jewelry she had acquired among the four,"Here, take it. You guys earned it." The four perk up in delight, before hurrying off with their newfound goods.
"Well, I assume all went well?" Emelote turns towards Ryan,"Indeed it did, and those four have great potential to be officers one day." Ryan nods,"What happened?" Emelote explains,"We went, they observed, I stirred up more blindness magic, and Masks showed up. Before we could leave the Masks cornered the kids and questioned them. They lied their way real easy. Didn't even have to do anything." Ryan smiles,"Good, good." Emelote nods in agreement,"Good is correct, I am proud of them. And I enjoyed messing with the Masks."

Joshua and the second Mask quickly went to work with the blind, avoiding any blinding magic as it slowly began to ebb away, although it was still powerful enough to cause problems and be a general nuisance for them as they worked everyone out of the area, but even when they were able to get everyone out and began to work to try to futher remove the blindness, they received a littany of complaints and grievances from the citizens. Joshua let them all roll over his head, but the second guard wasn't so tempermental. Joshua could tell that the other mask was trying desperately to hold back some incindiary marks that were forming in his head, but when a younger gentleman landed a shot that was apparently close to home for the Mask, the other guard got right in the man's face and was straining to not throw the first punch to claim self-defense, but it was not the easiest time for him. Seeing that things were about to come to blows, Joshua put himself between the civilian and the other Mask and sent him back to the guardhouse to cool off and dismissed the fellow, and he did leave after swearing plenty at both of them. With a sigh of relief he left the marketplace and once again was off on his patrol, hoping that nothing else went wrong.
