Lunna,
it's super slow to start so it's difficult to outplay the ai at the beginning. in some variations hitting it with the edge of the paddle can speed it up, but in wp's it just seems to glitch more often than not and score a point to ai lol.

Out of everything to do as Queen, commanding and overseeing the army would be where Ruina would be most comfortable. The werewolf had the most experience in that category. That is where she would be able to help the most, and where she would be the most confident. She would not train them like she did the Truhan's, since they were technically rival armies. In case of a possible battle, teaching Ritha armies how to fight like a Truhan was unfair. Fighting on sea would remain a Truhan thing, and Ruina would stick by that. No matter where her loyalty was.

Ruina had been disgusted and honestly terrified of the people she'd encountered that had a blood lust. How could someone so easily just kill someone? Especially more than once? And some of the crimes that they'd been convicted of was not just murder, but slow and torturous murder. How could someone do that? How could someone get pleasure from torturing someone and slowly and painfully killing them. If it ever came to it, Ruina would go quick and painless. Dragging out someone's death was cruel and heartless. Even if they deserved it, Ruina could never. So how did those crazy murderers do it? How did they so easily drag out someone's death? And enjoy it so much?

Ruina was on edge for anything Amber would do, no doubt the werefox was trying to catch them off guard. But Ruina was doing her best to stay on her tiptoes when it came to Amber. She wans't going to be caught off guard, hopefully. This moment, while it was enjoyable, well... It was the calm before the storm. Amber would no doubt have something planned for when they returned back to school. And despite her issues with her father, Ruina really wanted to stay in Truhan. She didn't like confrontations, and she sure as hell didn't like Amber. As for the threat of Iprihan moving against either Ritha or Truhan, or both, because of Amber was not something Ruina was truly worried about. She had warned Revalor though, and the prince had informed his sister that they were on watch for anything.

Ruina would honestly love to talk about plants with Enzo, even if plants was not something she was super into. She enjoyed talking about things that her friends and family enjoyed. That is why she knew a decent amount about plants is because she'd spent hours with her mother talking about plants. She'd have no issues doing it with Enzo, and she wouldn't be faking anything! Even if it was something she hated, she would love to discuss it with her loved ones, because it was something they were passionate about. She loved hearing about such things and seeing the way people's eyes lit up when they talked about such things. The grins on people's face, and the way they got so into the conversation the hand gestures were just going crazy.

"You know, being surrounded by all these plants reminds me of our budding romance." Oh, here comes the plant puns. Ruina cocks an eyebrow at Enzo, a grin slowly growing on her face. "I think the fact that I'm coming to love you a lily more each day is a good sign. We both certainly took a leaf of faith that night in the hallway with our confessions too. But I'll never regret that stuttering mess I made of myself because what we have now is unbeleafable. And I'm really rooting for us to make it." Ruina laughs, shaking her head at Enzo, amusement shining in her eyes. "Then let’s celery-brate this new beginning." She fires back, she could do plant puns as well. Even if they weren't as good as Enzo's.

Her head tips back slightly as Enzo comes to a stop in front of her. "You tend to make my heart skip a beet, and because of that, aloe you vera much." Ruina was quick to fire back,"I lilac you too." Okay, so it didn't sound like she was saying I love you. But he took that pun already and she couldn't think of anything else! Then her thoughts kind of crumpled as Enzo's lips moved to hers. A smile grew on her face as she kissed him back, leaning forward as her hands drift up to rest on his chest. Gods, she would never get tired of kissing him, or even being around him. Too bad Ruina couldn't come up with as good of plant puns. Those were just the first ones to pop into her head and she just fired them out.

"Love is different for everyone though, and means different things too. In Amber's world, what she has is the purest form of love for Enzo, and in another life her extreme devotion to something she loves is almost an admirable quality. But in this life, it's just pathetically psycho." The wereeagle wasn't wrong there, everyone perceived love differently. Perhaps because the five had been raised the same way in the same home, the prince's, Ruina, Thaola, and Tarron all had pretty much the same idea when it came to what love was. What true love was, and how to act on it. How not to be oversuffocating, but not neglectful either. Though clearly out of the five, only Ruina had found her true love, they still had the same beliefs when it came to love.

Thaola both shakes her head and rolls at Ikaris' dramatic gasp. "Well if that's the case my dearest Thaola." Thaola raises an eyebrow as Ikaris takes her hand, though surprise flashes through her when he kisses her hand. "Then allow that to be my first good mannerable impression on you." Thaola was about to fire back that technically most people go by first impressions, when Ikaris just kept going. "Now, what do I get in return for my good manners, hm?" Thaola laughs, shaking her head. Then an idea flashed in her mind. Hopefully, Ikaris wouldn't freak out. Thaola moved closer to Ikaris and before she could think that this was... odd. She leans up and presses her lips to his. The kiss only lasted a few seconds before Thaola pulls away again. A small smirk flashing across her face,"How's that for a reward?" She steps back a little, as the realization of what she just did hit her. Hmm, she didn't really regret it though.

Ruina would happily go to Ritha, and probably stick close to Enzo. She wouldn't want to accidentally offend someone, or get lost. That would be embarrassing. Though she would love to see Ritha. The only reason she'd ever seen a different kingdom was because she went to school, which was in Iprihan, and honestly. The werewolf was not that impressed with Iprihan. Bias, sure, but she definitely preferred Truhan. But, of course, she'd only really seen Truhan and Iprihan. So she didn't really have a lot of things to compare. And her experiences with the royalty of Iprihan, cough Amber cough, was also a major factor in how she felt about the kingdom.

"Have you ever looked into being an inspirational speaker or something? I think you'd be good at it. You're a natural born hype woman." Thaola returns the smile,"Thanks, but honestly, no. I couldn't be an inspirational speaker." She didn't like standing in front of a bunch of people that much. Besides, she wasn't usually so serious anyway. And honestly, that was probably one of the most serious answer she'd ever gotten from Ikaris. Which impressed her. "Hey, do you remember when me, you, and Ruina were talking about getting those matching tattoos for the group? I got in touch with that tattoo guy at school, but you know, I'll have to jump through a few financial hoops with him. So because I'm cheap, what do you think about the alternative of getting them done here in Truhan? You think everyone would go for that?"

Thaola shrugs,"I'm cool with whatever. That is a question for Enzo and Ruina." She honestly didn't care. She did think the tattoo designs had been cool, and she couldn't help but wonder if Ruina had ever gotten around to actually drawing the designs. Thaola hadn't seen them, but from the way Ruina had described them in that art class. They sounded pretty freaking awesome. And honestly, a professional in Truhan sounded much better. Ruina knew people in Truhan anyways, they could probably get a discount or completely free since Ruina was the princess and technically Thaola and Tarron were royalty. Just not official with titles, thrones, and crowns and all.

Enzo would admit he wasn’t abundantly confident in solely handling an entire army, but that’s not to say he wasn’t capable of doing well. However, where help is needed, help is appreciated. So it was only natural for him to want to bestow that aspect of ruling to Ruina. Although when it comes to training, and handling Ritha’s affiliations and alliances with other kingdoms, he does not view others as rivals or even use the term. It has too harsh of a ring to the wereleopard, unless it;s being used if they’re actually engaged in a declared war. And quite frankly, he did not wish to have any less than good relationship with any kingdom if he could help it once he takes the throne. The current state of peace in Ioana is sacred to him -as with most he’s sure-, and if he could further bridge relationships on the foundation of peace and goodwill with Ritha to varying nations, then he’s only continuing the work the rulers of Ioana before him had started.

Amber lurking is just an evil Enzo supposed he’s grown used to expecting. It’s not comfortable, but it’s tolerable. He’s never been much too concerned with himself when it comes to Amber, but it’s the thought of anything Amber would do that would go beyond their own bad blood that angered him. And more so, what she would do to someone. Or try to, at least. But what would that be? No doubt something fueled by psychotic logic, and her blinding want of the one thing she can’t have. Nothing she ever could have was good enough for Amber, which is the one thing that had always made Enzo wonder; if she had him, when would she tire of him, or get bored? She wants Enzo because he doesn’t want her, but if he had… then what would she have fixated on next after she got her way?

There would certainly be times where Enzo would just not realize he’s rambling about a passion, more than likely plants. Of course halfway through a twenty minute passionate rant he may halt himself and apologize, but if his victim expresses that they don’t mind listening, Enzo would continue. In all honesty, he would enjoy talking about a lot of things with Ruina. It is what you’re supposed to do with loved ones, isn’t it? Talk about the things you love the most with the people you love. And just as much, he was always up for listening. If he can listen to Ikaris’ heated tangents for hours, then he was certainly willing to listen to everything Ruina ever had to say.

“Then let’s celery-brate this new beginning." If it was possible to completely fall in love with Ruina again, then this was that moment. While he didn't let the surprise and warmth he felt from the reciprocation of the plant pun show too much, it meant so much more to him then she would ever realize. No one usually ever plays along with him, mostly because he wasn’t comfortable enough to be so playful to begin with. But Ruina’s pun was great, and even if she had fired back with the absolute most terrible plant pun he’s ever heard, it’s the fact that she reciprocated his play that touched him.

"I lilac you too." Enzo had smiled into a light chuckle from her use of the word play. He loved it, he loved her, and that was said enough through the kiss he exchanged with Ruina. While her hands moved to his chest, his arms loosely wrapped around her waist. The part of him that was a romantic found the beauty in kissing in a garden like the one they were in, and that thought made him smile into their kiss too. And then the realization he was kissing Ruina in her kingdom’s garden came to him, but it’s not like there was a way for anyone to see them… right? No angry brothers, no lurking dads. He didn’t think so, it was just his paranoia, but he did pull away after savoring the moment. “Our tulips together are more iconic than the flowers themselves.” He quietly chuckled. “Alright, I think that was the last one in my bank of bad puns. For now.” He smiled, although his tone playfully warned that he might find other ways to make puns; plant related or not.

True love sounded too cliche to Ikaris. A term that’s been used so much it’s lost its meaning in his opinion. And yet, Enzo would swear up and down on his own life that he had that with Ruina. But, Ikaris also had a different definition of love for himself. Someone that could challenge him enough to keep him engaged in something that would last longer than a day or two is something he would need. And after that, well Ikaris wasn’t experienced enough in the emotionally intimate aspects of relationships to know what he wanted other than trust. And loyalty. Physically involved? He’s got physical intimacy down. Emotionally? It’s a work in progress. But it’s not like he’s incapable of being emotionally invested, it’s just that he struggles with taking things too seriously.

Ikaris took Thaola’s laugh and the shake of her head as a sign she didn’t have a sure way to disprove him. And that, he confidently prided himself in. As she moved closer though, he raised a brow with his small smirk, waiting to see whether she would attempt to say something that he would just find another way to disprove. However, as Thaola leaned up and pressed her lips to his, Ikaris’ mind went blank. While he was frozen -not something he’s used to feeling- he wasn’t rigid. Nor did he even attempt to pull away. And just as quick as she had pressed her lips to his, Thaola pulled away, and Ikaris’ initial response was a single, mildly surprised blink. "How's that for a reward?" Settling back into his more usual nature, Ikaris returned a smirk. “Unexpected… but not unwelcome. So a great reward in all.” Sealing it with a wink, the wereeagle’s words were probably some of the most honest he’s ever spoken. While he still wouldn’t quite go out of his way to make the best impressions with others, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad trying on manners a time or two when Thaola is around.

Neither Enzo or Ikaris have ever been impressed with Iprihan. But, perhaps they were biased as well. It just didn’t have the kind of larger kingdom pizzazz Enzo was accustomed to. Truhan didn’t disappoint in that department, but Iprihan was just bland to Enzo. Of course he would never say that to the people of Iprihan, because they loved and were proud of their own home. Which they should be, it had its perks, but it just wasn’t an attractive place to Enzo. Ikaris isn’t impressed by much anyway, so it’s no surprise Iprihan fell short to him, but Truhan’s blue castle? What’s not to be impressed by?!

"Thanks, but honestly, no. I couldn't be an inspirational speaker.” Ikaris gave a small smile. “No problem, but for whatever it’s worth kitty, I think you’ll do just fine dominating whatever occupational field you get into. You’ll probably end up being something more badass than a speaker anyway.” But even if that’s what you chose, you would have been the best. It took some strain, but Ikaris was able to keep some things to himself. Other than Thaola and Ruina though, Ikaris didn’t really know any ‘cool’ women. Not ones that can kick ass and take names with style like they do.

“I'm cool with whatever. That is a question for Enzo and Ruina." Ikaris scoffed, but at least he knew where Thaola stood on the matter. “Wrong; it’s a question for Ruina. Princey would only get a tattoo if Ruina is, or if his parents told him specifically not to do it.” Ikaris said, but that’s how he imagined it would go. Enzo was still careful about image as a future ruler, so more than likely if he did get a tattoo it would be in a place not blatantly seen by everyone. Ikaris had joked one time that the right tattoo for Enzo would be a tramp stamp if he wanted it to be “in a concealed place”, Enzo did not find that as funny though.

“Either way, I’ve already got my own little tattoo plan for myself. Probably not this weekend, or anytime too soon, but I plan on getting a few. I’m already a fine piece of art obviously, but a few accenting tattoos will just really make me pop.” Ikaris smiled as he spoke, but he was looking forward to one day getting a couple. Maybe the back of his neck, he had a few ideas for an eagle themed one that would look good there. And while he’s heard they can hurt a bit, well Ikaris is the kind of person that would find it relaxing. Actually, if he had to stay very still for a long period of time for one, he’d probably just get bored enough to the point he falls asleep. Either way, tattoos are cool to Ikaris, and he’ll be equipping himself with a few in the future.

Something that being a warrior had taught Ruina, was that you couldn't predicate everything. And you sure as hell couldn't stop everything. The best thing was to make the best plan you could with the information you had, then adjust and adapt with any new information. And so, Ruina had. Adapt and grow, a big motto of Ruina. You couldn't stay the same. Staying the same got you nowhere in life, it was something that had to happen. Something Ruina drilled into her warriors heads. Change would happen, and it had to. Change meant growth, perhaps not always the growth that was wanted. But it was growth, and that was enough for Ruina. Baby steps were still movement. And sometimes it took a long time, and sometimes it didn't.

Amber was a concern of Ruina's, but not a major one. Ruina had her plan, and she would adapt if she needed to. The werewolf would not give the werefox much thought, nor lose sleep over it. But, that didn't meant the werewolf didn't have a plan. Whatever the werefox did, Ruina felt confident that it could be conquered and thrown back into Amber's face. Especially if Thaola, Tarron, and Ikaris were there to back up Enzo and Ruina, who were no doubt the werefox's main targets.

If Enzo started rambling to Ruina about plants, the werewolf would listen and enjoy. Though she couldn't promise her mind wouldn't wander, that she just couldn't help. But, she would listen as much as she could! And if he tried to stop because he felt like he was overloading and going overboard, Ruina would insist that he wasn't! Not to spare Enzo's feelings, or to seem like she loved plants. But because plants were something that Enzo loved, and Ruina adored hearing people talk about the things that they loved. And she would tell anyone that. Ruina would sit and listen to someone rant about one of her most hated topics, if it were their favorite topic. That was just the kind of person Ruina had been raised to be though.

Ruina wasn't usually one for puns, but something about Enzo... Well she was changing, and not in a bad way. She was still the same, just becoming more open. More happy, more social, more affectionate. Physically and emotionally. That was the reason she'd thrown the pun back at him. Because he liked plants, and clearly he liked plant puns. And because she loved him, she wanted to throw one back. To show that while she wasn't a huge fan of plants, she did love Enzo. She loved him a lot.

At Enzo's smile, a smile of her own grew on Ruina's face. Which simply grew bigger throughout the kiss. The werewolf found herself leaning against Enzo as his arms wrapped around her waist. God, she loved Enzo. Not to mention, he was a damn good kisser to. It was also sweet and romantic that they were kissing in a garden. In the pride and joy of the castle. One of the happiest places on the castle grounds. That only made Ruina happier. She could kiss Enzo forever. Being with Enzo was never about the physical intimacy of a relationship, it was the emotional intimacy. The two connected in ways Ruina had never connected with anyone else. She felt like she could tell Enzo anything and it'd be safe with him. She felt like she could trust him with her life and soul. And she could do the exact same for him. For Ruina? That was true love.

"Our tulips together are more iconic than the flowers themselves." Ruina laughs, tapping Enzo on his chest, as she shakes her head slightly. "Alright, I think that was the last one in my bank of bad puns. For now." Ruina simply laughs again, grinning at Enzo. He could tell her all the bad puns in the word, and she'd find herself grinning and laughing at them again and again. Just being around Enzo made Ruina want to grin and grin and grin. She couldn't really explain all the emotions that she had when she was with Enzo, but she would damn well try if anyone ever asked her to.

True love was something that none of the three Truhan's believe in. Well, Ruina did now. After all, they had all been raised in the same place. Where they had watched any kind of romantic love fade away, often quite quickly. While Ruina would now swear on anything that she had true love with Enzo. Tarron and Thaola were still on the side of true love wasn't true. That didn't mean they weren't rooting for Enzo and Ruina. That just meant, they didn't really believe they'd find true love. Love had always been hard for Tarron, even the platonic kind. His love for his mother hadn't saved her from his father. His brief innocent, childish, love for his father hadn't stopped his father's terrible crime. Romantic love had never healed his heart, though Ruina would claim he just hadn't found the right one. Platonic love with Thaola and Ruina was working for Tarron, but deep down the werewolf was scared that the love would disappear.

Thaola? Love was never a big factor of her life either. Love didn't keep her parents from abandoning her. Love didn't help her on the streets. Love didn't help the cold or hunger she felt. Love didn't bring her into a good home, kindness did. She had her platonic love with Ruina and Tarron of course. Then Thaola had a sort of platonic love with the Queen. But the werelioness heart was closed off. A flirt she may be, but love was not something she ever expected to have. Hence the reason she flirted. Her walls were built up and it would take an incredibly special someone to break them down.

The fact that Ikaris didn't tense up or push her away made Thaola happy, even if it was a joke, it would have felt like a rejection of some sort. And the werelioness did not like rejection. Of course, Thaola had no idea of what to think about what she just did? Why did she do it? Sure she was a flirt, but that felt like a lot more then flirting. Even if it had been brief. Although Thaola could now brag that she had managed to shut Ikaris up for more than a few seconds. "Unexpected... but not unwelcome. So a great reward in all." Thaola laughs to hide the blush that wanted to surface. What was happening? She never blushed. Thank god her face wasn't pale, even if a blush had snuck through, it wouldn't have been visible. Then what would Ikaris have thought?

"No problem, but for whatever it's worth kitty. I think you'll do just fine dominating whatever occupational field you get into. You'll probably end up being something more badass than a speaker anyway." Thaola flashes a smile,"Probably will stay in the army. It's the only thing I've ever really known. Besides, taking a job in a royal castle? Not my thing. I'd only be able to hold my tongue so long. Especially if I have no respect for the king and queen." That much was true. The only reason Thaola did the royal duties in Truhan, without complaint and so willingly, was because she respected and liked Queen Ashera. But if she went to a different kingdom? She wouldn't. She had issues with authority.

"Wrong; it's a question for Ruina. Princey would only get a tattoo if Ruina is, or if his parents told him specifically not to do it." Thaola nods, she could see that. Thaola had always wanted a tattoo anyway, so she had no arguments. Tarron already had a few, all which were hidden in very... questionable spots. While Ruina had a phoenix tattoo on her ribs, so they were pretty well hidden. In fact, no one had actually seen it except for the artist who'd put it on. Well, a part of the tattoo had been showing during the dance, but that didn't technically count. But, Ruina would have no issues with another tattoo. And especially because her father hated tattoos, and Ruina loved to piss her father off. After all, he was an asshole and deserved it.

"Either way, I've already got my own little tattoo plan for myself. Probably not this weekend, or anytime too soon, but I plan on getting a few. I'm already a fine piece of art obviously, but a few accenting tattoos will just really make me pop." Thaola nods,"Ask Tarron for some advice. He's got his fair share of tattoos." She knew because Tarron had told her, and for a few that weren't in such... weird... places, Thaola had actually gone with Tarron. Though the werelioness didn't have any tattoos, she'd never really gotten around to getting one. Or really found one she's liked, but she had no issues against them. In fact she loved them, she'd seen some pretty cool ones and had desperately wanted one since she'd first seen one.

Enzo would consider himself to be an entity that knew how to adapt when needed. Of course, when things are going well through one course of action, naturally he strives to ensure the stability of success is maintained. Tweaking stability too much is sure to alter the course of things, and peaceful stability is definitely a fragile thing to tamper with. In all, Enzo has learned not to push his luck. Change is inevitable, but pushing for change where it really isn’t needed is a recipe for disaster. But adaptability is a trait necessary for survival. That is something he very much believes to be true.

For the most part, plant rambling around Ruina would be something that Enzo would only do on occasion. He’s not an obsessive rambler anyway, but to be caught in a moment is something that is guaranteed to happen from time to time. However, if he did notice Ruina’s mind wandering elsewhere, or if by chance he caught her simply nodding along a bit inattentively, then he could get a little mischievous. A plant rant could easily subtly shift into Enzo seeing if he could get Ruina to absentmindedly agree to something. Either he’d be caught in the act and laugh about it, or Ruina might come to realize she agreed to something after the ramble. Of course, the wereleopard would never maliciously set Ruina up, but he could find a few comical things for himself to get Ruina to simply nod along to.

Generally Enzo tends to reign more sarcastic than firing off a siege of puns, but his humor has a pretty wide array to it. So while humor wise he’s relatively the same, Enzo could certainly say his overall well being in terms of happiness and affection has greatly improved with Ruina. Just a few weeks ago he had been fairly closed off and sure that the kind of love he had now was a fantasy. And as he’s learned, sometimes dreams really do come true. The mutual exchange of plant puns just assured him -more than he already was- that Ruina was everything he’s ever wanted. Yes, puns are a small thing to find enjoyable in a partner, but Enzo’s always been keen on the little things making him happy.

The more emotionally attached Enzo has been getting with Ruina, the more it’s reflecting in smaller physical actions. The wereleopard has a lot of subtle affections he expresses, but the most common physical ones? A goodnight kiss, a good morning kiss, hugging her from behind to give her a surprise cheek kiss, and of course he enjoys hand holding. Kissing Ruina is something that’ll never get old for Enzo, because each moment they share like that… everything feels timeless. And to pair their current kiss with the garden setting? It’s a timelessly whimsical moment for him. The kind of joy he receives when with Ruina is truly unequivocal to any kind of happiness he’s ever experienced. Even through his current lifetime of better days he’s seen, the best that stands out to him is that moment of confession in the hall, and everything that followed that night. Happiness, and an authentic emotional connection is Enzo’s ideal form of true love. And that’s exactly what he has.

The laughs and smiles he manages to coax from Ruina are addicting to Enzo. It’s amazing to have someone make him feel happy, but to be the one to make Ruina happy honestly made his heart soar. He would spare no joke, and exhaust every silly pun, even if it meant just one smile from her. Enzo has quite a bit of difficulty expressing emotions verbally, but anyone that knew Enzo wouldn’t need to hear words to see everything he felt for Ruina. His eyes tell the story for him, and it’s what’s reflecting in his affectionate amber gaze whenever he’s looking at Ruina that spells out exactly what he feels; he loves her. “I love you.” Enzo smiled warmly, and it’s another thing he never missed the opportunity to tell her. What’s the point in loving someone if you don’t get to speak those three words often so they know you love them?

“I don’t think there’s any other place in Truhan that might top the garden, so be warned, everything else I see in the kingdom will only be second to here at best.” Enzo playfully spoke, his eyes briefly moving to the scene around them. Yeah, the combination of being surrounded by plants with Ruina? No better place. So while his tone was playful, he was being fairly honest. Was there a place somewhere in Truhan that would rival the garden to him? Enzo doubted so, but he’d be interested to see if there was anywhere Ruina thought was greater.

Ikaris found survival in self-love. Above all, he loved himself the most, but in a heartbeat if push came to shove, his brotherly love for Enzo would trump his self-love. But Enzo’s really the only entity he’s ever felt a deeper sense of loyalty to, and the only person who’s rightfully earned Ikaris’ devotion. For the wereeagle, external love had been non-existent for most of his life. The love he once had for his mother didn’t stop her from leaving, neither did begging. Or pleading he could do better, and that he would be better. He wasn’t sure what he had done wrong, and she didn’t say. If it weren’t for the shift in behavior from his father, maybe Ikaris could have believed that it wasn’t somehow his fault. But that was history, hardly a time in his life he acknowledges. After all, he wouldn’t be a good narcissist if he was constantly placing his thoughts into why he wasn’t good enough for someone else. Pfft, ha! Imagine caring about being enough for other people when he’s perfectly happy being enough for himself.

Ikaris is pretty brutal when it comes to rejection, so if stopping what Thaola had done had been on his mind, she would have known. But he didn’t stop it from happening. It shocked him enough for him to go silent, but not to the because he was appalled by what occurred. The brief kiss was probably the most enticingly bold flirtatious gesture he’s ever received, considering he’s usually the bolder flirt when with women. And usually, well, he’s never left thinking twice about gestures. But with Thaola? He was certain he would be contemplating it for some time. At her laugh, in response he simply kept the facade of his prideful smirk up. He’s certainly a bit fairer skinned, but there’s probably never been a time he’s been flustered enough to flush. Usually only a faint flush of his cheeks is noticeable when he’s really pissed off, so it would be new if he was ever brought to that point from flirting.

"Probably will stay in the army. It's the only thing I've ever really known. Besides, taking a job in a royal castle? Not my thing. I'd only be able to hold my tongue so long. Especially if I have no respect for the king and queen." Ikaris was able to nod in understanding. Well, not so much the army part, he’s never been enlisted, but biting his tongue for people he can’t respect? That’s an issue he won’t grow out of. “A job inside of a castle would be boring. And I’m not really good under authority anyway. But I like having authority, but not too much, you know? Even I know I’d go on a pretty mighty power trip if I were given too much control over someone or something.” And that was… very true. At least he knew himself well enough to know what he should try to keep himself away from. Because if he ever spirals down the hole of power, it would be damn well near impossible for him to ever want to let that go.

"Ask Tarron for some advice. He's got his fair share of tattoos." The furrow of Ikaris’ brows said enough; was she messing with him? “Tarron? Since when? Most guys I know flex with their tats any chance they get. Unless wolfy’s tattoos are embarrassing.” Ikaris shrugged, but now Tarron was definitely going to be betting a few questions from the wereeagle. What would Tarron even get a tattoo of? Ikaris would bet either something darkly humorous, or some kind of ‘stay calm’ mantra on him. Or a mix of both. Each equally seemed very Tarron to him, but then again, what if the werewolf threw a curveball and got a tattoo of something super soft core. Like a puppy or something. That would shock Ikaris more than Tarron having a tattoo to begin with.

Ruina would no doubt accidentally say yes to something Enzo said without realizing it, if her thoughts did happen to wander. No doubt though, she'd immediately blush or try to figure out exactly what she had just agreed to. And if it was a good thing ot a bad thing. The werewolf wasn't always the most focused unless it was when she was on the battlefield. That was where the werewolf was at her most focused and anyone who had been hanging around her for a long time would tell anyone that. Thaola and Tarron had noticed it, as had Riden and the rest of her family. Sometimes they'd mess with Ruina and when she was distracted would have her agree to something ridiculous and weird. Though it never went further then that. Just harmless pranks.

It's the little things in life. That was something Ruina had heard from her mother many times in her childhood, and soon Ruina had taken that to heart. It truly was the little things in life that just made life so much better. Puns were one of those little things that Ruina enjoyed. She would never tire of Enzo's puns. Perhaps the werewolf would pretend to tire of them, but she never truly would tire of them. Unless they were annoying ones, but Ruina highly doubted they would be. Ruina was excited to see where her and Enzo's relationship would go. She never thought she'd feel the way she did with anyone, and yet here she was with Enzo. Willing to make silly puns about plants with the wereleopard in the royals gardens, without ever caring if anyone stumbled upon them.

As time went on, Ruina found herself learning more and more about relationships, and had become more physically and emotionally affectionate. She'd gotten better about not being so awkward and uncertain, though without a doubt she still had plenty of awkward moments. Though she loved the good morning and goodnight kisses. The hugs from beyond always made her grin like an idiot, and she never wanted to let go when they held hands. Ruina did her best to do her own little affections. She often found herself drifting closer to Enzo, and if they were sitting down while holding hands, she'd find herself rubbing a little pattern on Enzo's thumb in a gentle motion. Another one of those little things in life that Ruina loved. And of course, she loved kissing Enzo.

Of course she wasn't with Enzo just for the kissing, but she loved the kisses. They were something that made her relax and no matter how many times they'd kissed, it never got old for Ruina. She still got the same butterflies in her stomach and the warmth that started at her heart and spread outwards. Where they were at now just made the kiss even sweeter. A kiss from the man she loved in one of her favorite places in all of Truhan? What could possibly top it? Well, a part of Ruina's mind answered that, but she quickly shoved that thought back to the back of her mind. There was no time or point of thinking of those things, she wasn't ready for stuff like that. Nor did she know if Enzo was, and she wasn't going to rush anything anyways. Taking things slow was perfectly fine with Ruina.

Ruina was in love with Enzo, every physical and emotional aspect of the wereleopard. His laughs and smiles were addictive, she loved them and often found herself grinning back. It was just the way he smiled that made the butterflies flutter in her stomach again. Ruina highly doubted she would ever tire of Enzo in anyway, some people would just call her crazy for thinking that she had found the one so quickly in life, but Ruina would swear up and down that Enzo was the one. If someone asked her to explain why, she'd do her damn best. But honestly, she didn't think she could. How could she possibly explain how she felt about Enzo? How he made her feel? How happy she was with him? How much she enjoyed just being around him? How could all of those feelings be put into words?

"I love you." Ruina smiles back,"I love you too." Those words, the thing that Ruina had never thought she'd ever say to anyone. She was the kind of person who thought she'd grow up and be married off to some prince just for an alliance, and it would be a loveless marriage. She never believed she'd ever fall in love and yet here she was, in the arms of the man she loved, that she had just been kissing. Could her day possibly get any better? It was as if the argument with her father had never happened! Being with Enzo had boosted her mood so much, her father had become a faint memory in the back of her head somewhere. How could that not be true love? When being around them could cheer you up from any kind of mood, especially the kind that the werewolf had been in when she'd rejoined her friends.

"I don't think there's any other place in Truhan that might top the garden, so be warned, everything else I see in the kingdom will only be second to here at best." Ruina laughs,"The gardens are pretty amazing." Her eyes gleam,"Although I have to disagree. I personally prefer the ships." She loved being on ships, sailing Truhan's waters. She wasn't always on the ships for battle or training. She'd taken plenty of journeys on ships for just fun. There were also moments when she'd go with Thaola and Tarron and they'd pick a spot and go swimming. Sometimes they went down deep enough to see some sea life, or sometimes they'd stay near the surface and just have fun. There had been a few times when a shark had come by, but they had been pretty friendly. They'd never been attacked as most every sea creature was peaceful unless provoked.

Bold flirtatious gestures were something that Thaola did to strangers, to men she just met or barely knew. Not to men she knew. So why had she done it to Ikaris? Oh, she'd be telling Ruina later, she'd want the werewolf's advise and thoughts. Not that Ruina was the best with that kind of stuff, but the werelioness would still be telling her. Thaola was just hoping with all her heart that she wasn't blushing, and if she was, that it wasn't noticeable in any way. Because no doubt Ikaris would tease her about it, and she'd blush more. Or stammer. She'd be flustered, and Thaola flustered other people, she didn't get flustered. It would be slightly embarrassing, especially since she had literally no excuse or reason why she'd just kissed Ikaris on the lips.

"A job inside of a castle would be boring. And I'm not really good under authority anyway. But I like having authority, but not too much, you know? Even I know I'd go on a pretty mighty power trip if I were given too much control over someone or something." Thaola agrees,"Power can change anyone." She'd watched it happen, many times. In other kingdoms, in her own. She'd watched how the power had changed the king. Aelrindel hadn't always been so cruel-hearted, and Thaola remembered the time when Alerindel had had some kind of heart. And the werelioness had gotten to watch as Aelrindel's heart froze over and died. She'd watched the father-daughter dynamic change between Ruina and Aelrindel because of the king. Power did change people.

"Tarron? Since when? Most guys I know flex with their tats any chance they get. Unless wolfy's tattoos are embarrassing." Thaola nods,"Yes, Tarron. Since... Oh, probably a year before we went to Stonewall." Thaola raises an eyebrow,"It's Tarron. He's not most guys. He's Tarron. The broody, silent werewolf." Would the werewolf patiently answer the wereeagle's questions? Possibly. Tarron had about three tattoos. One of his mother's name, which was over his heart, so he'd never forget her. The only sort of super soft core kind of tattoo he had. The other two were in more.... inappropriate places. One was of a wolf clawing it's way out of a bloody wound. The other was an ancient badass looking tattoo of the symbol of death. Why? Well, Tarron had no explanation for any of the tattoos except for the one of his mother's name.

Enzo wouldn’t overuse the fun of getting Ruina to agree to something she wasn’t quite paying attention to. It’s not fun if he plays that game all the time, but the few times he will, it will be humorous for him. It’d more than likely be silly things that he’d get her to agree to. Such as him getting her to agree to something that would stroke his ego (because what guy doesn’t like that on occasion?), or probably something amusing along the lines of him being able to beat her in a spar. And maybe then they could strike up friendly competition from time to time. But as for sparring? He’s seen what Ruina is capable of, and quite frankly there were definitely some aspects of combat she could for sure kick his ass in. And he knew this, but would he be butt hurt if he lost to his girlfriend? Absolutely not, he’d make light of it with a few jokes, or maybe throw in the old ‘I let you win’ tease. Enzo isn’t a sore loser after all.

Little things make Enzo's world go round. It’s been that way for most of his life. There are many more little things he’s found enjoyment in, and many bigger things that have left him less than happy. His favorite ‘big moment’ by far though was confessing to Ruina. And it would probably be all of the little things they share in together from now on that will make his already deep love continue to blossom. Enzo and puns are kind of a package deal… of course there are many perks to his one-of-a-kind package personality, but you know, puns are a fun aspect to him. It would only further encourage him to make puns if Ruina seemed to tire of them, but he knew where the line of being punctual and being an annoyance lay.

Enzo was somewhat grateful his vastly awkward relationship phase was mostly long gone, but even though he was no stranger to the dynamic, he still found himself nervous or giddy at times with Ruina. This relationship is different for him in the sense that he’s actually with a person he doesn’t want to lose though. And Ruina’s awkward moments were some of the most adorable things he’s ever witnessed. He may hesitate in calling them adorable to her face, because he didn’t want to make her feel bad in any way, but he enjoyed seeing and living through those moments with her. And he loved feeling her gravitate towards him, and Ruina's motion of a pattern on his thumb while they were holding hands and sitting, that always felt calming and reassuring to the wereleopard.

One of Enzo’s favorite things was to kiss Ruina. And was he ashamed to show off some of his kissing skills with her? Not at all. But the more he spent in Ruina’s presence, the greater his desire to express his affections through a variety of actions grew. But Enzo was also very much taking things slower with Ruina, because he savored every moment he had with her. Maybe where he and Amber had gone wrong so long ago was moving way too quickly in their own relationship. Enzo knew the difference between a basic want for intimacy, and when he had genuine feelings behind that desire. And what he had with Amber? There was never really any deep emotions, he was just a younger guy who jumped at the first chance of someone who wanted him. If he were just a little more patient, Amber would have never happened. So yes, Enzo was moving at a slower pace with Ruina, but when they did reach the more intimate levels of their relationship, he wanted it to be genuinely special. And it’s something worth waiting for in his eyes.

“I love you too." Enzo’s favorite part about hearing Ruina say those words was that he could feel how much she meant them. Not in a possessive, psychotic way. But in a loving manner. While Enzo had wanted to redirect Ruina’s thoughts from her father, he didn’t plan any of this. In truth, he was just being himself in the garden. Fawning over the plants, talking about her other relatives, and expressing his love for her through puns and a kiss. That was just Enzo. But the man loved a mission accomplished, even if his success wasn’t completely intentional. A win is a win, and it’s better because he succeeded in getting the person he loved the most to smile.

“The gardens are pretty amazing. Although I have to disagree. I personally prefer the ships." Enzo had given a subtle nod at the garden part, but he froze at the mention of ships. Ships. The fact he could feel his smile threaten to falter further encouraged him to keep it up. Don’t ruin something she actually loves, idiot. “I bet the ships are great.” That statement could have been taken as sincere… if it weren’t for the fact his voice had raised nearly two octaves higher. And he definitely noticed the shift in his own voice, so he cleared his throat to cover that before he spoke in a more normal, controlled tone. “I mean, I’ve never been on a ship. But I think I caught a glimpse of a few Truhan ships when we were riding to the castle. They seem cool.” Those were words he’d never thought he’d say about ships, and yet, here he was. Anything for love. But he didn’t want to diss on ships. Ruina liked them, so he wanted to reciprocate some sense of interest. It’s the least he could do, especially after he got to have his fun with plants.

Ikaris could only imagine the confusion that would engulf Enzo’s features when he tell his own bestie what happened. Ikaris didn’t mind though. It definitely wasn’t what he had expected to receive from Thaola, but he was not complaining. There are usually no exceptions to the things Ikaris would tease someone about, but that quick kiss was something he just found… too interesting to really comment on. Gods forbid he say something that would make Thaola think he enjoyed it more than he should have. Did he? Now he was conflicted. He’s never had to think twice about where his interest in others lies, but he’s always been quick to brush off any chance of attachment. For probably one of the few times in his life, he actually had nothing to say. Which in this instance, was a good thing.

“Power can change anyone." Ikaris agreed with that, very much so. And as he thought about that, his thoughts circled around to the one thing that always easily got a rise out of him… his sworn enemies. “I bet it was power that changed the chickens.” He mumbled with a narrowing of his eyes, but now he had to decipher the greatest question in history; what drove the chickens to such a secretive tyrannical madness? Was it in fact power? And if so, how? Had there been a group of spoiled chickens that belonged to royals that one day decided they were the superior species? One day… Ikaris would figure it out. Ikaris didn’t really mind if anyone thought he was absolutely insane for pondering such things. And it wasn’t a quirk! He’s just not afraid to seek the truth!

"Yes, Tarron. Since... Oh, probably a year before we went to Stonewall." Ikaris hummed with a light shrug. "It's Tarron. He's not most guys. He's Tarron. The broody, silent werewolf." Ikaris chuckled at that, but he couldn’t disagree. “That’s a pretty accurate sentence to describe him. Try me now! I dare you to describe me in one sentence. I double dog dare you.” Ikaris smirked with a wiggle of his brows, but who would have the audacity to decline a dare? “I’ll try to describe you in one sentence next.” He offered, more so trying to sway her into going along with his random antics.

Agreeing to something that boosted Enzo's ego? Well, honestly, that wasn't that bad compared to some of the things he could get her to agree to when she was distracted. And of course, if they got on the topic of a spar... Well, would she hold back if they ever ended up sparring for fun? She honestly didn't know. But if she did win and he tried to pull the whole I let you win. She'd throw back a playful I was going easy on you. Which would no doubt end up in more playful remarks thrown at each other. Which Ruina could handle. At least Enzo wouldn't have her agree to anything that caused harm or anything like that. One reason Ruina never tried to be too absent minded, so no one would try to take advantage of it.

Ruina could name off some of her favorite moments with ease. It use to be when she, Thaola, and Tarron had gone swimming in the middle of the ocean and a whale had come by and they'd actually gotten a ride on the whale. They had had so much fun that day! Then the night that she and Enzo confessed their feelings for each other, that moment quickly became her favorite moment. Then of course, every moment ever Ruina cherished quite dearly. She was definitely falling in love more and more every damn day. The puns? Those would just make life a little more funnier. How could it not? The fun and endearing puns. Which would no doubt get a little annoying, but that was fine with Ruina. Not everything was meant to be enjoyed forever without any kind of bumps and issues.

If Enzo ever called her awkward moments adorable to herself, one of two things would happen. She would either blush and duck her head, or shake her head and insist that it was awkward and embarrassing. Or probably both. She couldn't promise that if he called her out, depending on the situation, it could possibly make her embarrassed and maybe a little hurt. But that was solely based on her insecurities. But, Ruina would never discourage Enzo from anything. In fact, she would find it endearing and sweet. Even if it did hurt her feelings a little. Later she would think, at least he found me adorable. Which would then, of course, cause her to blush and grin like an idiot. Which was completely okay with the werewolf.

Was Ruina ready for the intimate levels of a relationship? Definitely not. She was still trying to figure out the emotional and normal physical levels of a relationship. She was definitely not a perfect girlfriend and she had a lot to work on. She tried her best of course, but there was no doubt that she messed up at least twice a day. Of course, as was the nature of them, she did want the intimate part of a relationship. But she was completely fine waiting, it wasn't time for anything like that. And for a while, no doubt, nothing would happen past kisses and cuddling. And if it did go further, then it did. Ruina just wasn't quite ready to purposefully do it. If asked, she would admit that she was scared and worried and insecure. Among many other things.

Every word she spoke to Enzo she meant. She didn't like lying, and only did it if needed. But, she did her best to never lie to the people closest to her. Especially not Enzo. So every word she would ever speak to Enzo would be the wholehearted truth, unless telling a lie was for life or death. Her father had indeed been pushed back into the back of her head, adn later when she remembered her father and realized what Enzo had been doing. She'd thank Enzo. She hadn't wanted to be so stressed out and remembering all of that. She had brought the boys to Truhan to have fun and just relax. Not for them to have to hear about the issues between Aelrindel and her. In fact, the werewolf wanted to keep the tension as quiet and downlow as possible. So she would be avoiding her father a lot during that trip.

Ruina noticed that Enzo seemed to freeze slightly, and she hesitates slightly. Was something wrong. "I bet the ships are great." Ruina raises an eyebrow at the sudden pitch in his voice. "I mean, I've never been on a ship. But I think I caught a glimpse of a few Truhan ships when we were riding to the castle. They seem cool." Ruina studies Enzo, before stating,"You don't like ships, do you?" That was fine for her, he didn't have to like ships. Just like she wasn't the biggest fan of gardens and plants. They had their different interests, and they had their similar interests. Ruina would honestly find it weird and if they liked all of the exact same kind of things. That just seemed physically impossible for literally anyone. But, it seemed that Enzo didn't just dislike ships... But maybe he feared them? Or at least he feared water?

"I bet it was power that changed the chickens." Thaola raises an eyebrow,"Really? Back at the chicken thing?" Why did Ikaris dislike chickens? Had Ikaris told them the story? Not that the werelioness remembered. But, she was curious of why Ikaris was not a fan of chickens at all. She wasn't a chicken-lover herself, but it wasn't like she went out of her way to avoid them. Or spent a lot of time wondering about chickens, or trying to convince people that chickens were evil. So, what had happened to the wereeagle to cause him to despise chickens? Did she dare ask? What kind of rant would she be into if she dared open her mouth and ask the big question? She truly couldn't see what about chickens were so bad... or scary.

"That's a pretty accurate sentence to describe him. Try me now! I dare you to describe me in one sentence. I double dog dare you." Thaola rolls her eyes, double dog dare? Wow, he really wanted her to describe him in one sentence. "I'll try to describe you in one sentence next." Thaola shakes her head, geez. There were some moments when Ikaris made no sense at all. This was without a doubt, one of those moments. "The prideful, arrogant wereeagle." She finally answers, rolling her eyes once again. She was half tempted to ask, there, happy? Would that sentence offend him though? She wasn't lying, he was prideful and arrogant. But would he like being described like that? And would that completely contradict what she had just done? Did she want her sentence to contradict her kiss? She had no idea.

It would always be tempting to insert a few things for Ruina to absentmindedly agree too, mostly involving ego boosts, but it would also serve as little things to tease her with. Having his ego stroked was just a good bonus. As for sparring? If they ever did, Enzo would relent some, but not because he thought Ruina couldn’t beat him. The wereleopard pulled a lot of his ability in combat back unless he was sparring with his designated trainers or Ikaris anyway, even in their combat class. And quite frankly, he would feel absolutely terrible if he did accidentally end up injuring Ruina in a spar. Even if it was minor, the guilt would be there.

Perhaps it’s the pessimist in Enzo, but he could probably recall far more bad moments at a moment's notice than good moments. They just stood out more to him, and maybe he dwelled on a few of them -the ones that left bigger impacts anyway-. But the fewer better moments he can recall without a second thought? Those are the ones he knows he’ll cherish for life. From the first time he met Ikaris when they were children, to a few of their adventures, and the moment his fascination with plants occurred, to the first time he actually beat a seasoned fighter in a spar through his own skill… that would have been all he could have listed at a moment’s notice. Until Ruina, that is. He is actually experiencing far more happy moments, ones he can reflect on with ease, and it really means the world to him.

If Enzo did bring himself to call one of Ruina’s awkward moments ‘adorable’, the reaction he got would definitely dictate whether he did it again or not. If it was blushing and insisting it was awkward, then he would probably chuckle about it, and maybe even tease her a little more. Enzo just preferred to tread lightly in some areas when it came to him thinking it was even a slight possibility to upset Ruina, only because it was so easy to set Amber off. Even if it wasn’t his intention, simple words or gestures could have earned him dealing with a pissy werefox. Those experiences just meant it would take a little more time to test the waters with some things, especially when it comes to harmless play. Although Ruina was obviously nothing like Amber to him, it was just easier to be safe rather than sorry in his perspective.

Pushing for intimacy never works, and if that’s the basis on which a relationship stands, then it’s not a very strong one. At least to Enzo. All he really wanted from someone was to feel happy and have a genuinely strong emotional connection with. That’s what he had with Ruina. And she gave him basic affections and he felt wanted… in a positive manner, not because he was a psycho’s fixation. Enzo was happy with where both he and Ruina stood in their relationship right now though, and he wanted to keep it here for a while. He could very well admit that a part of him was terrified to go through all of the phases of a relationship with Ruina, only for later that everything started to fade. For a fact he knew that he could never fall out of love with Ruina because he was already devoted to her; heart and soul. But if she ever felt her love fade with him, as much as it would kill him, he valued her happiness more than his own. Of course he wanted nothing more than to be someone she would always find happiness with, but he would never force it.

Lying is something Enzo never usually did out of malice. Most of the time it serves as a barrier of protection to him, and other times… well he didn’t believe honesty is the best policy in some situations. In others, absolutely, the truth can really set people free. But when he deems lies are needed, lies there will be. He did this with everyone though; peers, loved ones, strangers, etc. Of course, Enzo prefers to not acknowledge the fact that he can be a little hypocritical when it comes to lying. Personally, he finds justification for his lies, but he despises being lied to. It’s a smaller flaw he has to work through, but it’s not an aspect that really afflicts his relations with others. But if Ruina thanked him for his efforts when it came to distracting her from Aelrindel, he wouldn’t be lying if he responded with a simple, no problem. He’ll always look out for her and help where he can, just as he knew she would do the same for him.

“You don't like ships, do you?" Enzo flashed an uncomfortable smile before responding. “Technically, I can’t say I don’t like ships, because I’ve never been on one.” He said, pausing with a small sigh for a moment before continuing. “Bodies of water just unnerve me. For a few reasons, but a lot of water in general… it scares the hell out of me.” Following that with a nervous chuckle, Enzo refrained from shivering. The only reason he felt comfortable sharing something that he feared with Ruina was because he trusted her that deeply. And while he probably wouldn’t get into the reasons as to why it scared him, at least he admitted that it did scare him.

"Really? Back at the chicken thing?" Ikaris scoffed while raising both of his pointer fingers up in a dramatic gesture and throwing a look of warning to Thaola. “Yes really. The chicken thing is very serious Thaola, and if you’re lucky, you’ll get to continue living in your world of ignorance and bliss.” He stated, lowering his hands and shaking his head with a quiet mutter. “Knowing the truth is my burden.” The spoken words of a crazy, but Ikaris didn’t care how absurd it sounded. But unlike most people, Ikaris doesn’t freeze or run from what scares him… he fights it. There is a serious fight response flowing through his veins when it comes to fear, and it’s quite unnerving how he’ll step up to something he will blatantly have no chance at overcoming. Do these obvious odds stop the wereeagle? Nope. But the chickens… the rant would be long, but this fearful obsession started as a child after an incident with chickens at night. He’ll leave it at that for now.

“The prideful, arrogant wereeagle." Ikaris didn’t hesitate to place a hand over his heart and give a genuine smile. “You do know me.” He said in a tone of endearment, which was almost completely sincere before he wasn’t able to contain his small following of laughter. Being described as arrogant, prideful, narcissistic, cocky, and a multitude of many other things, some good and some bad, didn’t bother the wereeagle in the slightest. It’s actually being called kind, soft-natured, sweet… uh, now being described like that would piss him off. He’s not sweet! Nor kind! He’s a hot badass!

Rubbing his hands together in thought, Ikaris studied Thaola for a second before he strung together his own sentence. “The impish beauty of a werelioness, who so happens to also be a charismatic flirt and a queen of sarcasm.” Pleased with his answer, Ikaris’ expression morphed into a prideful beam versus the more focused, and thoughtful face he wore while describing her. “I win, my sentence was longer.” Adding a wink, he further felt pridened by winning the challenge he had just set -and won- for himself on a whim. It didn’t start out as him desiring something to win, but where the wereeagle can find victory, he’ll take it.

If Ruina was injured in a spar by Enzo, she would wave it off, no matter how bad. Pain and wounds had become a constant in her life, it was just a part of being a warrior. But yet, a part of her would understand as well, because if she harmed Enzo in anyway, she'd feel guilty as well. No matter how major or minor the injury was. So, perhaps she wouldn't wave it off too much. If she did, she'd just mainly try and do her best to reassure Enzo. The werewolf would probably just try to avoid an all out spar with Enzo, better safe than sorry. Especially because Ruina loved to spar, and go all out in a spar. But, only if her opponent was fine with it as well. Completely fine with it. Hence the reason she typically only sparred with Thaola and Tarron.

Ruina would definitely be even more awkward, and blushing like crazy. She'd probably turn red as a tomato, because she had never been in such situations. She'd never had much reason to show a lot of her emotions. But now that she was with Enzo, she was learning more and more stuff about herself everyday, which was a good thing. The werewolf understood why Enzo would tread carefully around her, and would always do her best to assure Enzo that he didn't have to tiptoe around her. Hell, she'd show it to, but no doubt after dating that psycho werefox... Things in a healthy relationship was new and a little strange. Ruian would no doubt do the same thing if she had been in a crazy relationship before Enzo. Except, she hadn't. So everything was new and a little strange in a different perspective.

Ruina would forever hate relationships that relied solely on the physical intimacy. How could one love another solely based on that? The werewolf would preach time and time again, it was about the emotional connection, and the ability to make each other unbelievably happy even at the lowest moments of life. As well as the ability to rely on each other, and to protect each other, cherish each other. Ruina could rant on and on about what made a real and healthy relationship. And for Ruina? That was exactly what she felt with Enzo. Their relationship was not based solely on physical intimacy. Hell, the most intimate they had probably gotten was the kissing and holding hands.

Enzo made Ruina unbelievably happy, and she had a strong desire to protect Enzo from any kind of harm. She wanted to make him happy when nothing and no one else could. She wanted to be the person he could rely on time and time again. She wanted to just be there for Enzo. To make him happy. And she knew in her heart that she just could not fall out of love. The only way that could ever happen was if Enzo just completely changed. Yet, Ruina felt that Enzo would not just change and become a terrible person. What made her say that? It was just a gut feeling, and her gut was hardly ever wrong. No doubt many people did not believe that Ruina and Enzo would be together forever. Some would even claim they were too young to know. But, Ruina just had this feeling. A feeling she didn't want to fight either.

"Technically, I can't say I don't like ships, because I've never been on one." Ruina sensed there was more, and sure enough. "Bodies of water just unnerve me. For a few reasons, but a lot of water in general.. it scares the hell out of me." Ruina studies Enzo, she wasn't going to make fun of his fear. Everyone had their fears, and they had them for a reason. But, Ruina had really been looking forward to bringing Ikaris and Enzo on a ship and letting them see what always made the three Truhan's become at their happiest. "We won't go on any ships then." She smiles at him,"There are other things in Truhan to do that are just as fun. Besides, it's not like we'll be here for an entire week. We won't run out of things to do." She didn't want to force Enzo to do something he didn't want to do, and she sure as hell did not want to even think about asking him to think about it. If he wanted to do it, it would be completely of his own accord.

"Yes really. The chicken thing is very serious Thaola, and if you're lucky, you'll get to continue living in your world of ignorance and bliss. Knowing the truth is my burden." Thaola rolls her eyes, muttering,"I'm starting to wish I was completely ignorant to anything involving chickens, including your odd fear of them." Were those words a little harsh? Perhaps. But Thaola just didn't get how someone could be scared of chickens. They were small and you could scare them off very easily. But, perhaps something truly tragic had happened to Thaola. She wouldn't push, she didn't want the endless rant about it.

"You do know me." Thaola laughs slightly, a smile flashing across her face. Only Ikaris would enjoy being called prideful and arrogant. Everyone else Thaola knew would become offended by such words. Yet, Ikaris was completely backward. Whereas, most wanted to be called sweet and kind and wonderful. From what Thaola had learned, those kind of compliments would simply piss the wereeagle off. And where if Thaola had called someone prideful, cocky, narcissistic, and arrogant, they would have thrown a fit and who knows what else. But yet, those words were simply a compliment to wereeagle. What a backward fellow. Thaola sighs to herself, at least his behaviors were endearing.. In a way.

"The impish beauty of a werelioness, who so happens to also be a charismatic flirt and queen of sarcasm." Thaola was impressed, not that she'd tell that to the prideful wereeagle's face. She'd go with,"Not bad." She felt like those words really did suit her. She did love to flirt, all harmless of course. And she did love to be sarcastic with people. Though she did like the impish beauty. She wasn't as egotistical as Ikaris, but that did stoke her ego a little. "I win, my sentence was longer." That elicited an eyeroll, and of course, only Ikaris could declare himself a winner of such an odd challenge. Thaola was willing to let him have it, she wasn't in the mood to argue. The werelioness turns slightly,"Hmm, we better hurry. Dinner will be upon us before we know it."

Earnestly, the most comfortable scenario for Enzo should he ever be faced to spar solely with Ruina would be amid something like their Combat in Action class. It was perhaps the only exception to his regard of relenting in his sparring abilities with her - in the case of excelling in a class, he would treat her as an equal, simply because he was more than aware she could endure that kind of combative pressure with ease. In turn, he would sincerely hope in such an instance that Ruina would too treat him like an equal. The wereleopard could hardly fathom a situation where he and Ruina would spar outside of class. It was different with Enzo and Ikaris - they bickered like brothers, fought like brothers, and loved like brothers as well.

Bearing witness to Ruina blush, let alone being responsible for such a reaction, would more than likely always encourage Enzo to pursue coaxing a tint of red to taint her visage. In all the time he had known Ruina, he revered her as steadfastly poised and relatively unwavering in allowing emotions to affect her on a whim. But blushing? It seemed to be an exception to her control, and Enzo found it simply adorable. It was far more rewarding to be on the receiving end of the sincerely woven twine of emotion that was slowly beginning to unravel from Ruina when they were together - Enzo thoroughly enjoyed exploring their emotional connection. He could demonstrate an inhuman level of patience for Ruina, if only to give her a first relationship experience he himself had once desired so deeply. While he didn’t exactly get what he wanted from his first partner, at least it prepared him to be able to make Ruina’s experience in their relationship a safe, comfortable, and pleasant one.

"We won't go on any ships then." Undoubtedly a grander part of Enzo was relieved by such a declaration, though a lapsing guilt echoed that feeling just as quickly as he attempted to return Ruina’s smile. "There are other things in Truhan to do that are just as fun. Besides, it's not like we'll be here for an entire week. We won't run out of things to do." A soft warmth emanated from his amber gaze, followed by the wereleopard leaning forward to leave a soft kiss to the werewolf’s forehead. “I adore you.” He uttered quietly, dipping his head to allow his own to rest against hers. “But I want to experience everything Truhan has to offer, ships and all. Promise me a short excursion on a Truhan ship, and that you’ll be at my side, and I’ll be more than willing to go.” His voice lifted, expressing his want of a strictly short venture, and her company. Besides, Ruina always spoke so lovingly, so passionately, about Truhan’s water-based assets. It was worth witnessing Ruina glow from the inside out by allowing her to let him be a part of the things she truly enjoyed in her home kingdom.

"I'm starting to wish I was completely ignorant to anything involving chickens, including your odd fear of them." The male scoffed, “It’s a rather valid fear, actually.” Engaging in any form of quarrel on the subject of chickens with Ikaris is utterly futile. If one cannot subject themselves to just simply nodding along in passive agreement, then it's best just to avoid getting him going. After all, he had all the time in the world to allow his mouth to spew utter nonsense - unlike his closest companion, he had no responsibilities elsewhere to attend to. Ever. Unless he were to count his inclinations to stir pots and cause mayhem a responsibility, of course.

"Not bad." While words of grand splendor and kudos would have been much appreciated, Ikaris was quite certain he had seen a spark of surprise dance in and out of the werelioness’ eyes after his thoughtfully accurate string of words in regards to her. That, in itself, was quite an accomplishment to Ikaris. "Hmm, we better hurry. Dinner will be upon us before we know it." The wereeagle refrained from a snicker, rather settling for a snort of amusement. “I’m a fashionably late kind of man I’m afraid my dear.” Ikaris uttered in faux regret, though he took the added measure of allowing there be another foot of space between them - if her paws dared to reach for his ear again to drag him off, he’d be quite ready to counter. Although, he had briefly entertained the thought of tugging lightly on the female’s hair and running off, eliciting a harmless chase. His fingers twitched indecisively at the thought, his eyes shifting to her figure briefly enough to allow a thin smirk to curve at his lips. Everything about Ikaris screamed that he was divulging in less than innocent thoughts. “I suppose you’re right though, I imagine dinner with the entirety of Ruina’s family and all will be… quite the show.” He lightly chortled following his words, though he suspected it could very well unfold into a mild disaster. Which would make it all the more amusing for Ikaris.

It’s not as if Ikaris merely pined to witness Ruina endure her seemingly overbearing father, the wereeagle just simply liked the reality that strained households were not simply reserved for lesser statuses in various kingdoms. Surely Enzo’s familial relations was a prime example of such strain, and perhaps it was only Amber’s household that truly fostered an unconditionally nurturing environment. It’s what made the werefox’s temperament so much more bizarre, but at the very least she never knew a day where her parents weren’t a source of content, love and happiness.
