Ruina would admit, only to herself, that she was worried that the week had gone so smoothly. She enjoyed spending time with Enzo, yes, but the fact that Amber hadn't said or done anything to anyone in the group was worrying. There was no way in hell the werefox so easily letting go, right? Ruina had seen the look the werefox had given her, and the werefox was known for being overly obsessed with Enzo. No way in hell was the werefox giving up so easily. That just put Ruina on edge though, she didn't want to be caught off guard. Although, the werewolf had done a great job at hiding the fact she was on edge. This trip home would do the werewolf good, even if it isn't for the best of reasons.
Calimero was busy acting like an Arabian, with his neck all arched, and his high steps that caused him to prance. Ruina thumps her stallion on his shoulder,"Quit." Calimero throws his head and the werewolf rolls her eyes, muttering,"You're a Appaloosa, not an Arabian. Quit." The dark colored Appa finally stopped, returning to walking like normal. Jacky and Zylan were half brothers, although they looked like twins with their bay coat, and white splashes. Calimero was mainly black with splashes of white. Ruina, through Thaola, had also learned the names of Enzo and Ikaris' steeds. Enzo's mare, a grullo with grey splashes, was named Tanna. While Ikaris' mare, a bay with chestnut splashes, was named Elita. As was a common trait among all Truhan horses, all five steeds were large, well built horses. And they all seemed to get along famously.
It had been a big decision to inform the boys of what was happening about Truhan. Mainly because not only were they of another kingdom, but because Enzo was Crown Prince. To reveal such a weakness, especially to a rival kingdom, was dangerous. It had been hard to convince her father to allow it, and among it all, the King of Truhan had learned his daughter had a boyfriend. As it was through letters, Ruina couldn't tell how angry her father was, but she supposed she was about to find out. She did believe that Enzo would not tell his parents unless it was a threat to Ritha as well. And so far, the creature remained a threat to Truhan and Truhan alone. Which was both a relief, and troublesome.
"It's probably my mom, I'm pretty sure she's a witch that's a couple hundred years old, and she's probably just plucking people off so she can feed off of their souls in order to retain her youthful appearance. If I see her I'll have a talk with her though, to try and put an end to her madness for all of our sakes." All the Truhan's simply stare at Ikaris, they knew it was suppose to be funny, but they didn't really find any amusement in it. But all three managed a quick smile. Thaola and Tarron were quick to return their attention to their surroundings, though they were still partly tuned into the Ritha's and Ruina. The one thing Ruina could not wait to do was see the ocean. She grew up in the ocean, swimming with her brothers. Holding onto the fin of a weredolphin as it swam. Oh the memories of the sea.
Ruina glances sideways at Enzo, flashing a smile, as he draws closer. Calimero breaks his stride slightly to turn and sniff at Tanna. "Does your family... know about us? Or is it best not to say anything right now?" Ruina sighs, her expression growing slightly dark. "My father is aware. He is unaware of who you are, I never mentioned exactly who you and Ikaris are. I mentioned a boyfriend and a friend. No doubt the rest of my family knows as well, but the one you want to watch out for is my father." Ruina glances forward, the terrain was becoming more familiar. And now she was not looking forward to facing her father. He had quite the temper. He wasn't called the Beast of Truhan for nothing. "But, I recommend not giving a shit of what he thinks. It's my mother and my brother's you should care about."
Thaola calls out,"We're almost home, Rui. Do you smell it?" Ruina takes a deep breath in, and even in her worrying mood, she couldn't help the smile that split her face. The wind had shifted, the air now smelled like the ocean. Salt water. Home. In fact, a dark shape had just appeared on the horizon, the castle. Ruina glances at Enzo,"It will be fine. I will handle my father, I promise. And I know the rest of my family is going to love you." Her stomach was twisting, but what of her citizens? How would they react upon seeing strangers? Would they be angry that strangers had been allowed to see the state they were in? The sudden weakness of the kingdom?
Then the castle came into sight, it was still a decent ways away, but it was clear now. A sea blue color that practically glowed under the sun. Normally, Ruina would have hated anyone for making an entire building a blue. But it was the perfect blue. It matched the land well, and remained Ruina of the ocean. Which was now visible as well. The docks as well as the ships. The werewolf could almost hear the shouting of the ship's crews as they worked. Moving things on and off the ship, or just working on the ship. Truhan's royal ship was docked as well, her sail flying high and proud in the wind. Home looked completely normal, there was no sign of such attacks that the three Truhan's had heard about.
However, only a true Truhan would know how empty the land had been up to this point. They should have spotted other people by now, along the road walking, or families working. Sure the other towns were scattered and they hadn't actually come across any, but there still should have been some activity. This, was kept to the Truhan's, no point of freaking the Ritha's out anymore. Ruina sweeps an arm towards the castle as it looms closer,"Welcome to Truhan, the Kingdom of the Sea." The name sent a shiver down Ruina's spine, even though she had said it. Calimero's ears go up, and his stride lengthens, he recognized home. Ruina couldn't help but laugh, it felt like forever since she'd been home.
The werewolf pulls Calimero down to a walk as they approach the town of Zlistead. It was a bustling town and the castle sat smack dab in the middle. Already people were turning to look at the newcomers, they recognized the horses. And when the group got close enough, the hostility disappeared as they recognized the cloaks and the three wearing the cloaks. "Princess!" Came the cry of one. Ruina raises her hand and waves, a smile upon her face. Though her worry had simply grown, Zilstead was a lot busier then it should have been. Even on the busiest days, that truly meant the rest of the citizens of Truhan had gathered here at the capital. "The Princess has returned home!" Came another cheer. Thaola and Tarron laugh, waving to the crowd as well.
The road all the way to the castle was clear, save an occasional person darting across the road. However many kept trying to stop the group, and Ruina had to politely wave them off, insisting it was important she get to the castle quickly. The people slid away easily, and the castle gates approach. They were closed. Why were they closed? A guard peers over,"State your business!" Ruina frowns, the gates were never closed during the day. She glances back at her friends, and realizing how worried she must looked, tried to flash a smile to hide the worry. The werewolf looks back at the guard,"Princess Ruina returns home. Open the gates at once." The guard peers closer, and nods,"Your Highness! Welcome home." The guard withdraws and there is shouting. Only a few seconds later and the gates open.
Ruina glances back at her friends again. Thaola and Tarron looked excited to be home, but worried to see what was on the other side. "Come on Cal." Ruina mutters to her steed, urging him forward into the courtyard. The royal family must have been close, because there they were gathered in the courtyard. Looking incredibly royal and regal, especially compared to Ruina and her friends. Aelrindel's eyes rest first on his daughter, then to Thaola and Tarron,"Daughter. Thaola. Tarron. Welcome home." Before the princess could answer, the king's cold grey eyes flicker to the Ritha's. "And if it isn't the Crown Prince of Ritha." Ruina glares at her father, and Aelrindel relents slightly,"Welcome to Truhan."

It would surprise Enzo if anyone thought Amber’s silence was something to merely pass off. Is igniting paranoia her angle this time? If so, it was certainly working on Enzo. It’s subtly a driving factor in his decision to go to Truhan. Of all the places everyone can avoid Amber, Truhan is the place to be. At least for a little while Enzo can forget about a werefox more than likely plotting behind everyone's backs, and perhaps she’s even going home to Iprihan for the weekend to cry to her parents. Which Amber is going home to cry to mommy and daddy, but that was to be expected. Enzo could appreciate the horses from Truhan, since they each possessed their own equine grace to them. It was different from the Fresians and Percherons of Ritha, sometimes a hybrid, he was accustomed to riding. The Appalloosa’s were certainly wonderful horses though, and Enzo was able to momentarily find some amusement in watching Ruina’s horse. It varied from Enzo’s personal gelding back home, Nightingale, that was just straight up moody. For such a beast of a horse it was never fun to ride him when he was having a bad day, but the horse matched his rider in terms of mood more often than not. The hesitancy to inform Enzo and Ikaris -primarily Enzo- was understandable. As Crown Prince of another Kingdom, the wereleopard knew it wasn’t exactly a topic that would be easy to share. Personally, he doubted his own father would have allowed him to have said anything if there was a mysterious thing on their Kingdom’s lands, and people disappearing. No Kingdom wanted to unveil their weaknesses to a rival, but Enzo had no intention of exploiting such a thing. It was worrisome, and this wasn’t even his own Kingdom, but his empathy outstretched to the people of Truhan that have to endure the disappearance of loved ones and friends. That’s where Enzo’s thoughts lied; with the people. They aren’t his own, but that didn’t make their fears, struggles, and pain any less important. While Enzo passed off Ikaris’ comment, the wereeagle huffed before muttering under his breath. “Tough crowd.” Unlike Enzo though, Ikaris lacks general empathy, or care for otherwise concerning matters. If it’s not affecting him, or directly affecting someone he’s close to, then it’s not really a big deal. The Truhan’s may be uneased, but they haven’t been directly hurt. While Ikaris wouldn’t openly state he wasn’t concerned about people disappearing from who knows what, his lack of worry should convey that enough. It doesn’t hurt to thin the flock from time to time anyway, and what if only “bad” people are disappearing? Maybe this thing is doing everyone a service. Maybe. "My father is aware. He is unaware of who you are, I never mentioned exactly who you and Ikaris are. I mentioned a boyfriend and a friend. No doubt the rest of my family knows as well, but the one you want to watch out for is my father." Oh, fantastic. Enzo clenched the reins in his hand a little tighter in thought. It should be alright though, right? Anyone is better to deal with than Amber, right? “But, I recommend not giving a shit of what he thinks. It's my mother and my brother's you should care about." Enzo’s eyes stayed on Ruina for a moment before he faced forward again. So, really, it’s an entire family he should hope to impress. Or at least hope they tolerate him. Even with the exclusion of worrying about her father, well, Enzo would still mildly worry. “We're almost home, Rui. Do you smell it?" Enzo couldn’t help but faintly wrinkle his nose for a second. He didn’t exactly enjoy the smell of the ocean, and it was not a smell he was exactly used to either. So naturally, he wasn’t initially fond of it. Ikaris didn’t mind it though, not in the slightest. Ikaris has practically flown over the entire continent multiple times by now, so the smell of the sea was pleasant to him. "It will be fine. I will handle my father, I promise. And I know the rest of my family is going to love you." Enzo’s gaze flickers back to Ruina, and he gives a faint smile. “I trust you.” He said simply, but he trusted that Ruina would hopefully shield him from her father a bit. If she expected her mother and brothers to like him though, then he trusted she was right. But he’d find out soon eventually, won’t he? As Enzo’s eyes fell on the blue castle of Truhan, he observed with mild awe. Never did he think a building of any kind, let alone a castle, would look good in blue. But it was greatly fitting from what he could see. The ocean and docks he averted his gaze from, trying to convince himself he wasn’t that close to such a vast body of water. It made his skin prickle with unease, but Enzo even gets freaked out by small creeks, so imagine his fear at being near an entire ocean. The wereleopard couldn’t tell if there were any differences to Truhan, it seemed rather intact to him though. There was nothing that quite let on that something was plucking people from the Kingdom either. "Welcome to Truhan, the Kingdom of the Sea.” Enzo smiled at Ruina’s welcoming gesture with her arm towards the castle. “A lovely Kingdom from what I’ve seen so far.” He complimented, though a harsher gaze moved to Ikaris, warning the wereeagle not to make any kind of jokes. They already had a talk about Ikaris being on his best behavior, but we’ll see how that goes. Enzo and Ikaris weren’t exactly phased by the hostility of the onlookers, though it seemingly subsided as they recognized the Truhan’s. “Princess!” Enzo’s gaze moved to the individual that vocalized the shout. It made him internally grimace, since he was used to being fondly addressed in Ritha. Keeping his eyes set forward again, Enzo could at least feel the happier energy of the people towards Ruina. "The Princess has returned home!" Ikaris choked back a scoff. But he, too, was used to Enzo receiving attention. And in such, Ikaris would usually get attention for accompanying the Crown Prince. So the fact Ikaris wasn’t getting much attention agitated him, but as Enzo said, “smile sweetly, and be on your best behavior.” As they continued to the castle, Enzo was taking in the unfamiliar Kingdom. From the people, to the just… everything. It was all new, and Enzo desired to be a little familiar with these new surroundings, and so he was weaving together a mental map of where he and everything he’s seen is. It’s definitely a gift to mentally plot everything he sees onto a map only he can use, but it’s beneficial from the times he’s used it. Enzo’s gaze moved to Ruina when she turned back to them all after seeing the closed gates, and from her expression, he realized that must not be a common occurrence for her. It wasn’t often the gates were closed in Ritha, but it wasn’t an alarming thing to Enzo when they were. But considering Truhan’s current situation, perhaps there was more to it. “State your business!" Enzo cast a look of “seriously?” to Ikaris at that. Any guard that would dare question Enzo and his business, out of ignorance or a lack of recognition of the Crown Prince, would be reprimanded. "Princess Ruina returns home. Open the gates at once.” Ruina handled that better than Enzo would have, since the wereleopard would have snarled out a quip. “Your Highness! Welcome home." Enzo remained quiet, with a neutral expression, but Ikaris was rather giddy to get in. Following Ruina and her steed, Enzo and Ikaris urged their horses forward to enter through the gates. Naturally Enzo already had his posture as straight as possible, but he felt the urge to straighten further as his eyes moved to the royals in the courtyard. The King of Truhan primarily is where Enzo’s gaze had tethered, especially as he began to address the party that entered the courtyard. "Daughter. Thaola. Tarron. Welcome home." Enzo’s amber eyes weren’t cold, but they weren’t teeming with overwhelming warmth either as the King moved his sights to him. "And if it isn't the Crown Prince of Ritha." A small smile and a slight bow of his head is how Enzo responded, his peripheral picking up on the look Ruina had given her father. "Welcome to Truhan." Ikaris had to bite his tongue to not make a comment, but what is he, chopped liver? Did he look like Enzo’s accompanying manservant? Best behavior, best behavior, best behavior. “I appreciate the welcoming into your Kingdom, Your Majesty,” Enzo spoke with an even tone, “I thank you all for your hospitality.” He added, sweeping his gaze over the others in the courtyard. While he figured the royal family wasn’t here to entertain Enzo, the gesture of appreciating their acceptance of him in their Kingdom was something he wanted to get across. The wereleopard briefly glanced at Ruina though, mostly for guidance, since he was just realizing he didn't know how their customs of receiving guests was. His eyes did search for any stable hands at the ready to reclaim the horses, or was it the rider’s job to return them to the stables? Was he overthinking this all? Most likely. Ikaris didn’t seem to really care about customs though as he slid off of his mare in a single motion, landing gracefully while still loosely holding the reins. “You guys got people that take the horses or something?” Ikaris asked, raising a brow in the royal family's direction, and Enzo gave a barely detectable glare of warning. “Excuse my friend,” Enzo interjected politely, “he could have certainly phrased that better.” Glancing to Ruina in apology, maybe it’s not Enzo offending the royals of Truhan he needed to worry about.

Thaola and Tarron had also noticed the werefox's silence and had mentioned it to Ruina. The werewolf had told them that Amber was probably pouting or plotting, or both. To not worry about it that much, but definitely not completely brush her off. The two had agreed and had gone about their day without any issue. Ruina worried about it more then her friends had, that was for sure. But being home took her mind off the werefox, and she knew while they were in Truhan, the bitchy werefox would be forgotten. Or at least barely remembered.
Ruina often had to deal with Calimero acting like an Arabian. There was no explanation for his random prancing, but he eventually settled down. The horses of Truhan were often Appaloosa's, call them a favorite of the kingdom's, and they had been bred to be large and well muscled. Because although Truhan used ships, they also transported stuff across the land. So having horses strong enough to pull heavy carts was helpful. As well as many of the horses were used in battle. So the strength and bulk helped a lot. Thankfully there had been no reason to use horses in war recently, as Ruina hated watching the creatures fall in battle. It seemed cruel and heartless to have the horses fight. Although the main purpose of returning to Truhan was to find out what was taking the citizens, Ruina was hoping to take Enzo to explore the kingdom. Let him see her home. And take him on a ship. Just whatever that they could spend time together. No doubt Ikaris, Thaola, and Tarron would be accompanying a lot, however, Ruina felt like the couple could shake their friends off for a little. However, her main priority was to find the creature taking the citizens. It was terrible, her citizens were having their loved ones taken away from them. And no one could do anything about it, it was frustrating and no doubt the royals were very angry about it. The citizens were no doubt terrified as well.
"Tough crowd." The joke had been partly funny, but the Truhan's were too worried about their kingdom. They didn't laugh because all of their thoughts were on their kingdom. How it had gone from a safe haven to a place where you had to watch your back. The land looked desolate compared to how it was suppose to look. The roads filled with traveling merchants and Truhan's moving things from place to place. The lands being worked on by wereanimals and animals. For outsiders, no doubt Truhan seemed fine, but then again. They were not use to bustling activity of the Kingdom of the Sea. It was worrisome to the Truhan's.
Ruina knew her words were not very reassuring, but she didn't know whatever to say. Her father did not like anything Ruina did, so she never cared what he thought. Hopefully Enzo would not either. And Ruina had very high hopes that the rest of her family would at least like Enzo, if not adore him. Her mother especially, would love Enzo. Her brothers would love discussing swords and strategy and who knows whatelse. While Ruina would no doubt be the shield between Enzo and her father. Her father would look for any opportunity to learn of Ritha's weakness, and do anything to separate his daughter and Enzo. Because Ruina liked Enzo, the king hated him. That's just how Aelrindel was. Hence the reason Ruina and Aelrindel were not as close as they use to be.
Ruina hid the laugh at Enzo's faintly wrinkled nose. So he wasn't a big fan of the smell. Not a lot of people were, especially those who did not live on the coast. Those who were use to the smell. She hoped that she could at least get Enzo on the docks then. She didn't know if she could get the wereleopard on a ship, but that was the goal. "I trust you." Ruina smiles back. She'd do everything in her power to keep Aelrindel far away from Enzo. The king would be a party pooper, quite literally. So the werewolf planned to keep the king far, far away. Let him deal with the issue that bugged Truhan the most. The last thing Enzo or Ikaris needed to see was Aelrindel and Ruina getting into a fight. And damn, did the fights get heated. Never physical, just verbal. "A lovely kingdom from what I've seen so far." Ruina smiles at that, her arm falling back to her side. She was very proud of her kingdom, she would admit that much. Truhan had always thrived off the sea, hence the nickname Kingdom of the Sea. It would have made it even cooler if the actual castle was underwater. Alas, none of the wereanimals, except the sea ones, could breath underwater. And none knew magic that would allow them to do such a thing. So the castle remained on land, while the people worked on both land and sea to provide and build for Truhan.
Ruina fell back into her princess role with easy. That royal smile on her face as she waved. The people crowding to see the princess who'd been away. All were happy to see her, and most were hoping that she had brought a solution to their problem. After all, why else would she have returned home? Especially with strangers. None truly recognized either stranger, hence the reason none were greeting either Ikaris or Enzo. The Truhan's knew of the royals of Ritha, but not what the Crown Prince or his best friend looked like. Elsewise, they probably would have been greeting him as well. They were also focused on Ruina, who had always brought solutions to their issues. Surely she could fix this issue as well? The missing citizens would be returned and whatever creature causing this issue could be slain by the warrior princess. That was their hope.
Ruina was keeping an eye on Ikaris and Enzo, checking on how they were handling all of this. They seemed fine, and Enzo seemed to be examining his surroundings. It really did bug Ruina that the gates were closed. They were never closed during the day, never. Normally, Ruina would be partly annoyed that she had not been recognized. But at that moment in time she was too worried to give a damn. Perhaps the guard had bad eye sight, blah, blah. She didn't care. She just wanted the gates to open. And she was hoping that Ikaris would stay on his best behavior. Aelrindel did not do well with disrespect, at all. Especially with strangers. He was a king, an arrogant jackass, but he was a king.
Thaola and Tarron flashed small smiles at the king, both bowing slightly in their saddles. However, none of the Truhan's made any move to get off their steeds and properly greet the royal family. Aelrindel looks at his daughter,"We will speak privately, daughter." Ruina couldn't help the sneer,"We'll speak." Came the agreement. She knew what they would speak about. With any luck, it would truly be private. She really would hate for Ikaris or Enzo to hear the fight. She'd stick them with Thaola and Tarron and tell them to give the Ritha's a tour until she got done with her father. Ruina was not looking forward to speaking with her father, she wanted to return home to help. Not argue. However, it was unavoidable. They always fought. Another thing that was unavoidable. The fighting. Usually the queen would break it up, but she would probably be accompanying the Ritha's, along with Ruina's brothers.
"I appreciate the welcoming into your kingdom, Your Majesty. I thank you all for your hospitality." Ashera cuts her husband off before he could say anything,"We are glad to have you, Prince Enzo. We are excited to get to know you." The tone of the queen's voice spoke nothing but the truth. She was excited to get to know the boy who had finally broken down her daughter's walls. He seemed charming and nice and Ruina seemed incredibly happy, despite the sneer on her face, which was directed at her father. The dispute and hostility between father and daughter clear. Revalor and Ayduin dip their heads, agreeing with their mother. They were excited to get to know Enzo. Hopefully mess with him a little, you know, play the protective older brother part.
Ruina's sneer drops immediately as she looks at Enzo, flashing a smile. That was perfect, already had her mother and brothers grinning. Usually the three stayed in the background, watching and observing, only talking when needed. Ruina glances for the stablehands. They had some, however if the stablehands were on break, then the rider's would take the horses to the stables themselves. "You guys got people that take the horses or something?" Aelrindel glares at Ikaris, opening his mouth, when Ruina cuts him off,"Not a word, father." The king seethes, however stays quiet. It would look terrible on a king to argue with his daughter in front of guests. "Excuse my friend, he could have certainly phrased that better." Ruina dismounts,"It's fine. But, agreed, Ikaris. Be careful with your words."
She loops Calimero's reins over his head as Thaola and Tarron dismount, doing the same thing. "We will take the horses to the stables. The stablehands must be busy or on break." She states, sending a glare at Ikaris, warning him not to say anything else. Ruina looks back at her father, and her voice grows cold,"I will join you in your private studies, and then we will talk." Aelrindel simply nods, nodding at the Ritha's, before turning and heading inside. Ashera smiles warmly at the Ritha's,"Come find me and my sons in the dining room when you are finished in the stables. Thaola and Tarron will show you the way." Then the queen follows her husband inside. The twins simply nod at the group before following their parents inside. Ruina grumbles under her breath, something about stupid father's, as she leads Calimero into the stables, Thaola and Tarron on her heels. She directs Ikaris and Enzo to where they could tie up their mares to untack them. Before bringing them halters. Then Ruina returns to Calimero, reaching into the stallion's stall for his halter. Then still fuming over her father's words, she starts on her stallion. Trying to stay upbeat and happy, but still incredibly pissed at her father and not looking forward to the conversation she was about to have with the king.

Personally Enzo would denounce any use of horses in war. Sure, Ritha has their own force of war horses, but Enzo had no intention of ever using them for war purposes when he’s King. The kingdom also preferred their horses bulkier and fit to easily transport both riders as well as pull carts. Enzo spoils his bratty horse insanely though, and other than parading the Crown Prince around Ritha, that horse has never seen a day of work. Nightingale is the equivalent to being like a best friend to Enzo as well though, seems as how they’re going on 10 years together soon enough. The 10 year anniversary being marked by Enzo’s twentieth birthday, which is shortly after school lets out. Enzo was looking forward to some exploring in Truhan. He certainly didn’t come just to awkwardly waltz around the palace grounds with a royal family he’s never met prior to this. While he wasn’t quite keen -at all- on going anywhere near the docks, ships, or the ocean in general… it’s rude of a guest to decline any offers of seeing the sea. And it would be rude of him as a boyfriend to deny accompanying Ruina should she want to get closer to the water. And right now, he did not want to be viewed as a rude boyfriend in front of her family. Inside he was already shaking at the thought of even being within 20 feet of the waters, but for now he could pretend like that wouldn’t be an issue. The wereleopard’s default when dealing with other royals is to just be neutrally polite through every encounter. If he receives warmer tones and gestures, then he will reciprocate it, and that’s just how he acts as a royal. Generally he tends to fare a bit more passive, but that can switch into being passive-aggressive if he really feels like he’s being disrespected in any way. However, he also didn’t want to make a bad impression for the sake of Ruina maintaining a good relationship with at least her mother and brothers. Was the young prince expecting the King of Truhan to try to sniff out weakness either in Enzo personally or Ritha? Yes and no. Enzo’s mother does the same, so in a way, Enzo sees through most foul intentions from royals. If the King does try to slyly gain intel, Enzo would be half tempted to “accidentally” or subtly feed false information. Just for fun. But he would play along with the King just to be deceitful. Oh how the tables can turn. The smell of Truhan, the smell of the horrid ocean, it was not a smell Enzo wanted to grow used to. Times like this he was so beyond grateful he was born in Ritha, rather than this coastal kingdom. He couldn’t even begin to imagine how growing up beside the sea, and being terrified of water, would have been. Or maybe if he grew up here he wouldn’t be afraid of it so much. He would never know. But he did know Ruina and her father weren’t on great terms. Of course, Enzo wasn’t expecting a fight of any kind between them. If they were like his family however, a few snide comments would be the worst, and that didn’t really bother Enzo. While Enzo did enjoy being praised and fawned over, right now he was grateful no one was aware of who he was. Like he hoped, word of his weekend getaway to Truhan wouldn’t reach his parents, and in so, he wouldn’t get an earful. Or, an eyeful, considering he declined the last request by letter to return home for a talk. And his decline was followed by a rather heated letter, so perhaps soon he should go back. The only thing worse than angry letters is an angry King or Queen showing up to the school to embarrass him, which he already knew his mother would do if her demands were not met. It’s funny that Ikaris adored the attention he gets when he’s in Enzo’s company in Ritha, considering he doesn’t get nearly as much as a person with actual rank and title would get. Whatever keeps the wereeagle happy though. "We will speak privately, daughter." Enzo moved his sight from the King to Ruina, watching for her reaction. “We'll speak." Now that was the kind of icy tone between parent and kin Enzo was accustomed to. From the looks, and sound of it, the talk would definitely be something. The air between the father and daughter was frigid enough to chill the entire area, but Enzo looked away to avoid being perceived as overly nosy. Ikaris had raised a brow as he observed Ruina and the King, but Ikaris does love a good drama fest. "We are glad to have you, Prince Enzo. We are excited to get to know you." Enzo smiled a bit more sincerely at the Queen’s words. “The feeling is mutual.” Enzo responded, briefly flicking his gaze to her brothers and then to the King. Well, not as mutual with you, sir. Enzo wouldn’t dare express that though, not directly. Nobody looked like they were planning on completely bararding him in a siege of judgments though. In fact, at least Ruina’s mother and brothers seemed rather friendly. So maybe it wouldn’t be so bad after all. The smile that Enzo received from Ruina was greatly comforting, and reassured him that he was doing well so far with the family members whose opinions counted. However, the glare from the King in Ikaris’ direction caused Enzo slight discomfort. But Ikaris? Could’ve cared less. Royals are people, just with another word in front of their name to Ikaris. But as Enzo told him prior to leaving for Truhan, Ikaris had to abide by the law of the “leash”. Keep chatter to a minimum, he’s not allowed to venture more than 10 feet away from Enzo at all times, and no insensitive jokes. No jokes at all, actually. It sucks. "Not a word, father." Enzo was thankful for Ruina’s interjection, knowing full well that if the King said something even remotely close to setting Ikaris off, foul words would slip from the wereeagle’s mouth and the trip to Truhan would be very short lived. "It's fine. But, agreed, Ikaris. Be careful with your words." Ikaris took a bow, one of mockery if you knew him, but it could pass as sincere. “Of course Princess, my humblest apologies.” Again, if you knew Ikaris, you would know he was being theatrical and ingenuine. "We will take the horses to the stables. The stablehands must be busy or on break." Enzo followed suit with Truhan’s by dismounting his mare. While Ikaris sent a devilish smirk to Ruina at her glare. Ikaris wasn’t planning on making any remarks yet, but he was sure the opportunity would tempt him soon enough. "I will join you in your private studies, and then we will talk.” Yeah, that talk wasn’t going to be friendly. Enzo nods back to Aelrindel, while Ikaris was refraining from rocking on his heels impatiently. "Come find me and my sons in the dining room when you are finished in the stables. Thaola and Tarron will show you the way." Enzo smiled back before offering a quick reply. “Will do.” Enzo reciprocated a final nod to the twins, with Ikaris giving a lazy two finger salute, and then the wereleopard sneered at Ikaris. “Idiot.” Enzo said snarkily. “Kissass.” Ikaris quipped before sticking his tongue out. The boys silenced what could have turned into an insult war after hearing Ruina’s grumbles, but they followed suit with leading their mares to the stables. Enzo was much quicker with tying up his mare, untacking the horse, and working with the halter. Ikaris struggled some, which Enzo quietly chuckled at, but in the end both boys had finished the task at hand. Leaving his horse, Enzo walks closer to Ruina, trying to give her a smile of reassurance. “I wish I had something super comforting to say, like ‘it won’t be that bad’, but I doubt it’ll be a fun conversation between you and your father… from what I can tell.” Enzo said with a light shrug, but he was there to try and be a small sense of moral support. “Tell him to pull the stick out of his ass.” Ikaris threw in for Ruina, but that’s about as good advice as Ikaris could give. “At least it seems to be going good so far with your mom and brothers.” Enzo said, though positivity is highly unnatural for him. It was a small silver lining, however. If he could at least continue to be liked by some of her family, then it shouldn’t be so bad. For Enzo at least. He was just hoping the conversation to come for Ruina wouldn’t ruin her mood for the day, because he was also looking forward to spending time with her. A good time. Whether just together, or with their friends, but he came here for Ruina first and foremost.

Ruina had never used a horse in battle, she loved horses, but she preferred her own two feet in battle. The closest she'd ever brought a horse to battle was when she had to ride to the camp they'd set up. Besides that, the horses had stayed within the camp. She'd refused her warriors the opportunity to ride horses into battle. She told them not to be lazy and use their feet. And so they had. They'd marched all the way to meet the enemy in battle and the beautiful horses had been preserved and safe. Ruina would continue that way for the entirety of her life. Mainly because she loved horses, Calimero especially.
Ruina was looking forward to showing Enzo around Truhan. All her favorite places, which a lot were on ships, and the places she use to always hang out. The place she trained. The royal stables. The town. Her places in the castle. Everything that she could. Mainly because it would keep her away from her father, and she would be spending time with her boyfriend. Could it get much better? And yet, Ruina got the feeling that maybe she should keep Enzo away from the water. She had noticed how his nose had wrinkled at the smell of the ocean. Did he not like the ocean? Was he afraid of the water? That was fine with Ruina, she'd keep Enzo away from the water. But, of course, she'd still offer him the choice. Just to see if he'd be willing to or not.
Ruina was generally a very nice and kind person, to everyone, royals to commonfolk to people who are straight up jackasses. However, there were people in her life she just could not stand and it showed. Originally it had only been her father, Aelrindel. And yet her experiences with Amber had added the werefox to the list. Her tone and gaze were always much colder and unwelcoming around the two. However, besides that, Ruina was a pleasant person to be around. And for those who she considered best friends and family, well, they were the people who saw her at her best. At her happiest. Ruina had no doubts that Aelrindel would try and get some information from Enzo. So the princess planned on keeping the two far away from each other. Or just to make sure that Aelrindel and Enzo were never alone with each other.
Would the conversation between the king and the princess go well? Hell no. No conversation ever went well between the two. If one ever asked one of the royals, except the king and princess, they would respond with a sigh. Followed by a, it use to be so much better when she was younger. Which was true. When Ruina had been young and playful, Aelrindel loved her and she loved him. They had been just as close as the rest of the family. Ruina adored her father and grew up almost in his shadow, and perhaps that's where it went wrong. She grew up trying to be a little bit to much like her father. Too warrior like, and that had driven a wedge between father and daughter. That had only worsened over the years. "The feeling is mutual." Ashera's smile stays genuine, she did like this boy! Perhaps Ruina had chosen good! She was excited to get to know the prince, to see exactly what Ruina liked so much about him. Considering the werewolf had sworn off all love and boys when she'd first started her training. A oath that the werewolf had kept to incredibly well over the years since she'd made it. While her brothers, well, they really just wanted to play the older protective brother roles. They did not doubt Ruina's choice, but, they did want to get to know the prince of Ritha as well. The interesting thing was that Ayduin was a litte bit too much like his younger sister. Revalor was a little more level-headed, so with any luck Revalor would balance out anything Ayduin did.
Ruina was glad that Enzo was already winning over her family. That would make this weekend easier as well. It would be awkward and terrible if Ruina's family did not like Enzo. The King? Ruina didn't give two shits and nothing in the world could make the werewolf care about her father's opinion. Aelrindel had ruined the relationship and any attempts to fix it had been butchered and simply made it worse. There was no repairing the bond between father and daughter. Hell, they barely even tolerated each other. If anything, it was Ruina and Revalor discussing when it came to things about the kingdom. Then the heir prince would discuss that with his father. That was how it worked, there was hardly ever words exchanged between father and daughter.
The werewolf was half tempted to tell Ikaris to say what he wished to the king, only the king, and to hell what Aelrindel thought. It would be worth it, and Ruina would protect Ikaris from Aelrindel's wrath. "Of course Princess, my humblest apologies." To the royal family, it sounded sincere. To Thaola, Ruina, and Tarron, they heard the real tone behind it. Ruina refrained from sighing or snapping, there was no point. Aelrindel would eventually cut in anyway, best keep the conversations short, before the king found something to bitch about.
"Will do." Ashera and the twins were looking forward to getting to know the Ritha's without Ruina around. That would give them a chance to actually get to know them. Although the three were very well aware of the kind of conversation that would be going on within the studies. The walls had been modified to be sound proof for a reason. The screaming and anger had radiated from the room with ease for anyone to hear as they walked by. Or hell, sometimes it was so bad, you could hear it being on the same floor. "Idiot." Ruina could agree with that, even she knew that pushing her father too far was a bad idea. "Kissass." Came the expected response from the wereeagle. Couldn't take anything serious could he?
Ruina keeps half an eye on the boys making sure the mares were being treated and cared for right. They could get feisty. However the boys were doing fine. Ruina got Calimero all cleaned up and untacked quickly and soon had him in his stall. While Thaola and Tarron too got their steeds put up. Withdrawing a bit away from the others as they checked on the other horses. When the boys had finished, Thaola and Tarron walk up to snag the mares, leading them to their stalls. "I wish I had something super comforting to say, like 'it won't be that bad', but I doubt it'll be a fun conversation between you and your father... from what I can tell." Ruina couldn't help the slight scoff,"That's an understatement." It was, there would be no conversation. Just anger and screaming. Something Ruina hated... A lot.
"Tell him to pull the stick out of his ass." Ruina bares her teeth,"I'll tell him a lot of things. A lot of things I'll probably regret, and a lot of things that will push us further apart." She sighs,"But that's just the Beast of Truhan for you. He just keeps getting worse and the wedge--" Ruina cuts herself off, no point of going into a deep rant about the issues between her and her father. Enzo and Ikaris did not need to hear about that. Regardless of if they wanted to, or if they were just trying to be supportive. That was an issue for father and daughter, and only them. Something that had to be settled between them, but probably never would be.
"At least it seems to be going good so far with your mom and brothers." Ruina smiles,"Are you kidding? It's going great. They love you. Well, Mom loves you. My brothers like you." Which was a whole lot better than whatever the hell was wrong with Aelrindel. Speaking of which, she better get to his study. Best get the words spoken and the argument over with. She wanted to have the best time she could here with Enzo. So it was better to get the shitty stuff out of the way quickly. In fact, Thaola and Tarron were returning now. Having put the mares up and made sure everything was secure.
Ruina tries for a smile, but fails,"Have fun. I'm sure Mom will just want to get to know you. She'll ask weird questions, probably tell embarrassing stories about me. My brothers will be the older protective brothers, but I wouldn't be too worried about them. They aren't bad. I'm sure there will be a tour inserted there along the way." Her gaze darkens slightly,"I'm going to go have that talk with my father. I'll be back, sometime." She leans forward and up slightly to press a kiss to Enzo's lips before heading off. Thaola and Tarron sigh as they watch her leave. "It may be a while before she comes back." Ruina often had to blow off some steam after talking with her father. Thaola brightens up, slightly,"Well, come on. The Queen awaits." Thaola flashes a smile and ushers the Ritha's out of the barn. Before her and Tarron take the lead, into the castle and then into the dining room. There Ashera was sitting, talking with Revalor and Ayduin. Although all three rise once they see the four. Thaola and Tarron walk over to hug and greet the Queen, high-fiving the twins. Ashera turns to Ikaris and Enzo, a smile on her face. "I'm glad you two have come to join us this weekend. I am sure you two know of the troubles plaguing Truhan, but, we are still happy to have you."
Ayduin cuts in,"So how long have you and Ru been a thing?" Revalor had no hesitation or issue smacking his brother on the head,"Ayduin!" The werewolf prince shrugs, a sly smile slinking across his face,"What? It's just a question." Ashera rolls her eyes,"A kind of question that does not concern you. If the two wanted you to know how long they have been together, they would have told you." The Queen's voice turns scolding, but still filled with slight amusement,"This is not Q&A for Ruina and Prince Enzo's relationship. This is welcoming these two wereanimals into our home and making them feel comfortable." Ayduin ducks his head slightly, though the gleam in his eyes spoke volumes that he wasn't completely sorry,"Sorry, Mother."

One day, Enzo would love to hear all of Ruina’s various stories of battle, among other things. Especially how she ordered soldiers to spare their horses by using their own damn feet, he’d find it admirable. The prince was envious, and a tad jealous, that Ruina has personally been on the front lines of war. It was strictly forbidden for Enzo to even come within a mile radius of any war zone in Ritha, even if it wasn’t that bad of a battle. As the only heir though, his parents viewed his life as far more valuable than the soldiers they dispatched. Enzo, however, disagreed. His life was of no greater importance, and he desired to fight with his people if need be, the way Ruina has with her people of Truhan. Even before they were a couple, Enzo has gotten to listen to the stories all three Truhan’s have shared about their home. And now that Enzo was able to see and explore it all for himself, he was very much excited. It was different, very much so, but not all of it was a bad different. Hands down, the worst thing about Truhan was the abundance of water. So if that’s the worst, the kingdom was pretty great overall. Even though it scared the living shit out of Enzo to be near water, for Ruina, he would take up any opportunities she presented. Or at least most of them, he would probably decline getting into the water. He’s not wearing swimming attire after all… and he can’t swim. Neither Enzo or Ikaris were under the impression that the conversation between Ruina and her father would go well. And taking into account the talk Enzo and Ruina had their first time meeting in the hall about their father’s, Enzo already knew it just wouldn’t be good. It made him a little upset for his girlfriend though, he cared about her, and wanted to protect her in any way he could. However, it was far from his place to step in between a King and his daughter, even if Enzo desired to do just that. Ultimately it would be between them, but Ruina’s dislike of her father was growing on Enzo greatly. The reaction he was receiving from Ruina’s mother filled Enzo with a bit more confidence. Hell, he already liked Ruina’s mother more than his own. This Queen actually smiles genuinely, not just bitterly. It was nice to see, and nice to be the recipient of such a grin. The prince knew somewhat of what both Revalor and Ayduin were like from the times Ruina has spoken of her brothers, and unless they scowl at him like they’re ready to tear him limb from limb, he’ll save his anxieties for later. Which will probably be used if he’s to go near water. "That's an understatement." Enzo gave a light sigh, more to express his sympathy for the situation Ruina would be in shortly. “I'll tell him a lot of things. A lot of things I'll probably regret, and a lot of things that will push us further apart. But that's just the Beast of Truhan for you. He just keeps getting worse and the wedge--" Well, Enzo supposed there had to be some kind of monstrous quality behind the King’s nickname. He didn’t think it would involve driving his daughter away from him though. While he didn’t directly say what reflected in his eyes, Enzo silently offered her the chance to talk to him later about it all. The wereleopard may not always be able to say anything to make it better, but he can listen. She could rant to him, and he would always be there to listen, just as he knew she would do the same for him if he needed to vent. “Are you kidding? It's going great. They love you. Well, Mom loves you. My brothers like you." Enzo couldn’t help but give a light chuckle. “I’ll take that.” But hey, being loved by one and liked by two is better than being hated by all. And being, actually Enzo was a little uncertain of just how much he was liked or disliked by the King, but he felt it was tipping more on the scale of subtle dislike. But overall, Enzo will take everything so far as a definite win. His amber eyes moved to Tarron and Thaola returning, and Ikaris looked like he was about to drop dead from boredom with his blank, unfocused stare directed at the ground. "Have fun. I'm sure Mom will just want to get to know you. She'll ask weird questions, probably tell embarrassing stories about me. My brothers will be the older protective brothers, but I wouldn't be too worried about them. They aren't bad. I'm sure there will be a tour inserted there along the way." Enzo wanted to give a real smile back, but because Ruina’s had failed, his own faltered. And for right now it was best Ikaris wasn’t paying attention to the conversation, since he would have just begun to complain about nobody wanting to get to know him. You know, because he’s such an important entity. “I'm going to go have that talk with my father. I'll be back, sometime." Enzo didn’t smile, but he did lean down slightly to meet Ruina for the kiss. “Love you, you got this!” Enzo threw out as a final ode of support as Ruina walked away, but how much his words would actually help her, he didn’t know. “It may be a while before she comes back." Enzo figured that much, and until she’s back he would be worrying for her. And even when she’s back, he’d worry. It just made him more determined to find ways to make her genuinely happy later. So if that meant water activities, so be it. "Well, come on. The Queen awaits." Ikaris was jarred from his thoughtless oblivion at Thaola’s voice, and just in time before she began to usher him and Enzo out. “I’m hungry.” Ikaris complained, more in the tone a five year old would use, but did anyone care about Ikaris? He doubted it, so instead he turned to pouting. Walking through the palace, at least Enzo was enjoying the sights of the castle, all the way through until they reached the dining room. Watching as the royals in the room ceased their conversation and rose to their feet, Enzo smiled and gave a half bow to gesture his thanks for being a guest in their home. As Tarron and Thaola made themselves comfortable with the royals, Enzo stepped closer as the Queen began to speak. "I'm glad you two have come to join us this weekend. I am sure you two know of the troubles plaguing Truhan, but, we are still happy to have you." A solemn smile crosses Enzo’s face. “I’m pleased to be here, though my heart goes out to both you and your people amid your less than ideal circumstances.” Ikaris just flashed an almost sincere smile to the Queen, but he wasn’t allowed to talk. "So how long have you and Ru been a thing?" Ayduin didn’t skip a beat with getting that question out, and a more amused huff of air came from Enzo as he watched Revalor smack his brother. “Ayduin!” Even Ikaris tried to mask the smirk he had, but it slipped through his attempts to hide it. "What? It's just a question." It didn’t bother Enzo, and it’s not like he was the first to ask such a question over the week. But if Ruina hadn’t disclosed certain information to her family about the relationship, then Enzo didn’t think it was his place to comment. “A kind of question that does not concern you. If the two wanted you to know how long they have been together, they would have told you." A dismissive look is what Enzo gave to reflect the brotherly question did not bother him, but it did amuse him. "This is not Q&A for Ruina and Prince Enzo's relationship. This is welcoming these two wereanimals into our home and making them feel comfortable." The boys’ switched gazes from the Queen to Ayduin, though Enzo was half expecting a witty quip from the Truhan prince. “Sorry, Mother.” Hm, well that mildly surprised Enzo. Taking a few steps closer to a seat, Enzo’s gaze momentarily cast to the Queen as if silently asking her permission to sit before he did so. Ikaris was seconds behind Enzo in terms of claiming a seat beside his friend. “I feel very welcome and comfortable here so far, Your Majesty,” Enzo smiled to the Queen, “Truhan is just as beautifully regal as your daughter has said it is. Truly her stories of your Kingdom do it a great justice.” Enzo complimented. “I must admit I am hesitant to disclose some answers to questions regarding mine and Ruina’s relationship,” Enzo said, sweeping his gaze briefly over each of the royal Truhan’s, “but I can say with much certainty that she is a woman I’m beyond grateful to even be in the presence of, let alone in a relationship with. And I look forward to getting to know the people she speaks so fondly about.” Enzo flashed a smile to back up his honest statements. It’s no lie the wereleopard is a charismatic sweet talker, but there was more of a passion to his tone when it came to discussing Ruina. She was certainly brag worthy in his eyes, and he could talk all day about how wonderful she is to anyone. It irritated Ikaris a bit though, but he veiled that agitation. It was easy when Enzo was in a relationship that would push him towards spending a lot of time with Ikaris, but now that his best friend found someone worth being around constantly? Of course Ikaris was happy for Enzo, but the wereeagle gets jealous. And he did not want to feel he was being put to the back burner and abandoned. Ruina wasn’t trying to steal Enzo or hoard his attention, but abandonment is Ikaris’ greatest fear. So yeah, he reserved some jealousy. Has he told Enzo this? Pfft, no. Ikaris didn’t want to look like a whiny bitch. And currently, while Ikaris didn’t really care that he was in a room surrounded by royals, or people affiliated with royals, he definitely felt like the black sheep. Talking is boring too, but he couldn’t even put his elbow on the table to rest his head in his hand, because that’s not “proper”. It’s stupid, the customs and manners of royals. So instead his blue eyes traveled the room, looking for something interesting to fixate on as Enzo does what he does best; converse.

Ruina had plenty of stories, some were funny, and some were sad. Many were interesting, but one of her favorites was when she'd told her men to quit being lazy and walk their own asses to the battlefield. They'd just stood there and stared at the princess for a moment until she'd demanded they get to moving. Hell, she'd led the way on foot as well, so no one could even dare to call her a hypocrite. They'd won that battle, and honestly, it hadn't even been considered a big battle. Many had been injuried, yes, but none had been killed. Thankfully, if Ruina preferred battle, she preferred those kinds of battles. Where she didn't have to return home and inform families of their loved one's demise. Ashera was loving Enzo, she could see what had attracted her daughter. From what the Queen knew so far, Enzo was not only an attractive young man, but very polite and seemed to balance and match Ruina's personality. While Revalor and Ayduin? They were just wondering how the prince had gotten Ruina to break an oath she swore she'd never ever break. Hell, Ruina had made that oath on her life. Swearing up and down that she would never have a boyfriend. That boys were pointless and she would focus solely on her life and her place as a warrior princess. The fact this prince had gotten Ruina to break her own oath, was intriguing.
Ruina was glad that she'd brought Enzo and Ikaris along. Ikaris would probably be the one that Ruina would tell to say whatever he wished to the king. While she knew she could lean on Enzo for moral support. And while she knew she could rant to Enzo, just like he could rant to her, she wasn't sure if she wanted to rant. Despite the troubles Truhan faced, Ruina had actually wanted this visit to go pretty smooth and relaxing, not to mention happy. She wanted to show Enzo around her home and let him get to know her family and her people. And yet here she was, about to go and get into a fight with her father. So much for relaxing and happy.
"I'll take that." Ruina smiles slightly,"The boys will come around quickly." That much was true, all three royal siblings were more like their mother. They did get qualities from their father, but they looked more like their father then they ever did act like him. Of course, the king hadn't always been so bad. Ruina wished she knew exactly what had happened that had made the king so bitter. Thankfully, he still remained a great king, despite his terrible attitude and his ruining relationships with his family. They tolerated each other, for the sake of the kingdom. The Queen and her children were close though.
"Love you, you got this!" This time a small smile managed to flicker to life across her face. Ruina calls back,"Love you too." Before she was gone, moving through the castle to her father's study. She didn't even knock, simply opening the door and walking in. Aelrindel's cold grey eyes flicker up, leaning back in his seat,"Daughter." Ruina fought the urge to sneer, though her voice was cold,"Father." The werewolf king states,"You brought a Rithian into my home. Better yet, you brought a prince into my home." Ruina agrees,"Yes. Yes I did." Aelrindel grunts,"Ruina." The werewolf princess rolls her eyes,"He's my boyfriend, Father. You're going to have to get use to him. Deal with it. He's not going anywhere, he's welcome here."
Aelrindel scoffs,"And if he came only to extract information about Truhan to return to Ritha?" Ruina sneers,"If you think that, then you are a fool. He came because I asked him to." Aelrindel opens his mouth, but Ruina continues over him,"Enzo will not steal information from Truhan to return to Ritha so they can attack. Regardless of your opinions, Enzo is a good man and he would do no such thing unless it is a threat to his home and his people." Aelrindel muses,"And what if Enzo decides we are a threat? Do you know what I do to those who threaten my kingdom?" Ruina scoffs,"If you think that, you are worse than a fool. Get it through your fucking skull that Enzo is not here to harm Truhan in anyway."
Aelrindel gets to his feet,"Watch your tongue, daughter. It is not lady like to speak in such a way, and you do not speak to your king in such a manner." Ruina narrows her eyes,"Then get it through your skull that the Ritha's are not here to do any such harm to Truhan." Aelrindel growls,"I will keep my eye on them. Be wary daughter, if they show any signs of threat towards Truhan, they will be out of this kingdom before you can do anything about it. Leader of my army, you may be, but I am still king." Ruina snarls,"Yes, you are a king. However you are a foolish one, and no longer fit to rule." Aelrindel seems to grow,"Excuse me?" Ruina snaps,"You have grown old and foolish, even more than normal. It is time for Revalor to take over."
Ruina's eyes were just as cold as her father's,"The time for you is over. You have grown arrogant and power hungry. You may not treat your subjects horribily, but your kingdom knows of your actions. They know how you have pushed your family away and how your family does not love you. You have become nothing but the Beast of Truhan." Aelrindel stares at his daughter,"And what are you? Daughter? Do you not follow in my footsteps? Leading my warriors into battle. Into a blood bath? Do your claws not stain of just as much blood as mine do?" Ruina recoils from those words, like they had physically slapped her. Ruina replies quietly,"I am my father's daughter. No doubt I will become the Beast of Truhan when you are gone. But at least I have control over my Beast. Do you even know what it's like to feel control?"
Before the king could say anything else, Ruina turns on her heels, heading for the door. She throws a final word over her shoulder,"Do not come to dinner tonight, you will simply damper and ruin it." Yet another blow to the king. However Ruina was out of the room before the king could even reply. The words between father and daughter had remained quieter then usual, and yet they had hurt no less. Both had spoke words of brutal truth and it had simply wedged them further apart. There was no fixing the broken bond between king and princess.
"I'm hungry." Thaola resists the urge to roll her eyes,"There will be food in the dining room, bird." She knew she couldn't rely on Ikaris being on his best behavior, but that was just how the wereeagle was. As long as he didn't insult or offend the Queen or the Prince's, Thaola and Tarron really didn't care. They were not overly fond of the king either, to hell what he thought. Perhaps it had partly been a bad idea to bring the wereeagle along. Even if Ikaris was accustomed to royals, he was use to Ritha royals, not Truhan royals. If he spoke wrong, the rest of the visit would not be pleasant for anyone. And of course, Ruina would have to face the wrath later. Even though the werewolf would defend her friends fiercely. No matter what her family thought.
"I'm pleased to be here, though my heart goes out to both you and your people amid your less than ideal circumstances." The Queen smiles again, though this one was sadder,"Thank you. It helps Ruina has returned home. Seeing the Warrior Princess has brought hope to our people." The people of Truhan hoped the fierce werewolf princess would hunt down and take down whatever was taking the citizens. As well as hopefully returning the missing citizens. It truly was uplifting for Truhan to see their Princess returning home. Ruina had not told her family much about her and Enzo, because it had been so sudden. Hell, she hadn't even wanted to tell them until they had arrived. A bad idea? Probably. But Ruina would have figured it out.
Normally Ayduin was exactly like his younger sister, always one for a snarky remark. However, just like his siblings, Ayduin respected and loved his mother way too much for such a remark. Now if it was his father, the remark would have slipped from the Prince's lips before he had even realized it. The Queen had no issues with either sitting, and she soon followed suit. Thaola and Tarron having already sat. The Prince's soon sat as well. While Thaola reached over and placed a plate of food down in front of Ikaris. A lot of it were Truhan specialty of seafood, but there was some land animal parts on the plate as well. "I feel very welcome and comfortable here so far, Your Majesty." Ashera nods, smiling back, that was good. The Queen's green eyes follow Thaola as she leans over again, placing another plate full of food in front of Enzo.
"Truhan is just as beautifully regal as your daughter has said it is. Truly her stories of your Kingdom do it great justice." Ashera nods,"Thank you." She was glad that Ruina had shared such stories about the Kingdom of the Sea. There was much pride within the Truhan's about their home. Though no doubt there would be even more pride if the castle had actually been built underwater. That would have been incredible, however the Truhan citizens still spend a lot of time in the water. Especially the wereanimals whose animal's side were sea creatures. Swimming came naturally to the citizens of Truhan and nearly everyone within the kingdom knew how to swim and enjoyed it thoroughly. The Queen would be intrigued to see, or hear, how the Ritha's took to swimming. No doubt Ruina would take them.
"I must admit I am hesitant to disclose some answers to questions regarding mine and Ruina's relationship." Ashera agrees,"As you should be. Do not mind my son, he means not to pry as it is none of our business." Ayduin ducks his head slightly at the gentle rebuff from his mother, another gesture of sorry. "But I can say with much certainty that she is a woman I'm beyond grateful to even be in the presence of, let alone in a relationship with. And I look forward to getting to know the people she speaks so fondly about." Oh such a sweet boy! The Queen thinks as she smiles, once again,"Ruina truly is amazing. Call me bias as her mother, but, yes, Ruina is truly an incredible young woman." The princes were nodding in agreement, they too adored and admired their younger sister. Ashera continues,"And we are excited to get to know you as well. I can tell that Ruina really cares for you."
Ashera's gaze flashes to Ikaris, noting that the wereeagle did not seem very interested. "Young wereeagle--" How did the Queen know that? There was no telling, Ruina never specified the species of the wereanimals she was bringing home. "--You seem bored." Ashera looks at the werelioness,"Thaola, why don't you take him on a tour around the castle? Or maybe show him the barracks. Whatever will entertain him." The Queen's gaze returns to Enzo,"And of course, you are welcome to go with them. We can get to know each other better later." That was what dinner was for, Ashera wanted the two to enjoy their time at Truhan.

While Enzo has his own fair share of stories varying from highly entertaining to solemn, none are centered around a battlefield. Unless, of course, you count the great “cattle run of Woodlark’ five years ago. Was it a planned event? …No. A mixture of Ikaris’ impulsivity and Enzo’s desire to bring a little fun to the anniversary of the kingdom’s founding led to quite the destructive event. In short, chasing an army of horses, cows, and goats down the streets of the capital is very costly when the dust settles. Is this talked about? Not after the entire kingdom talked about it for months. Enzo had been quite harshly reprimanded by his parents for publically being behind such a catastrophe, but it spared Ikaris, and damn if it wasn’t funny. No one got hurt, maybe a few slow noblewomen, but they don’t count. So he may not have stories of battle, but the prince definitely packs a case of adventurous tales. At least Enzo didn’t feel burdened by crushing pressure from Ruina’s family. So in short, he definitely did overthink what was awaiting him here. Her father, well Enzo would just take minimal conversation if need be in stride, or otherwise find ways to politely ignore the King. Of course if Ikaris was given permission to speak the things that do come to mind in regards to the King, there will be no holding back. Does anyone even appreciate the lengths Ikaris is already going to put a filter on his filterless mouth? To be able to consciously think through every word he does utter is strenuous. Does he get a pat on the back for it though? Not even close! That aside, both boys were looking forward to a relatively nice trip. Whether Ruina chose to rant to Enzo or not though, Enzo was determined to not let anyone put a damper on their Truhan getaway. For the Truhan’s it’s more like a home visitation, but the Ritha’s consider this a getaway. “The boys will come around quickly." Enzo flashed a small grin, but Ruina knows her brothers best, so he was expecting what she said to be true. It must be quite the dynamic between the siblings too, and Enzo was honestly curious to see the three together. He personally couldn’t imagine what it would have been like growing up with older, or younger, siblings. Ikaris was one thing, but the wereeagle didn’t live at the palace grounds like a sibling would. Enzo assumed Revalor had the highest of expectations on him -if any- considering he’s the oldest. Did parents really have lectures about “leading by example, sharing this, sharing that, be the bigger person”. Enzo was used to those talks as a future ruler, but not as an older sibling. "Love you too." A warm smile was able to tug at Enzo’s lips at Ruina’s reciprocation of the words, though he glared when Ikaris gagged at it. Did Ikaris even have a side capable of actual, non-toxic affection? It would terrify Enzo to see it with anyone honestly, since the two boys have varying definitions of what love should be, how it should be obtained, and what it means to be someone’s significant other. Ikaris certainly has higher walls safe guarding him than Enzo could ever dream of having too, and with the bird, filterless doesn't mean open either. "There will be food in the dining room, bird." Good food? Ikaris briefly bit his lower lip, practicing not actually saying things that could be taken rudely out loud. At this fucking rate maybe his breathing was offensive. For certain he knows he’s not a first choice to accompany anyone but Enzo primarily, and he’s especially very, very far from anyone’s first choice to visit a castle. Perhaps that knowledge in itself Ikaris found insulting. He knew he shouldn’t take it to heart though, his personality isn’t fit for every scene. Besides, he’s here for a fun time, not a long time in Truhan. So if he can just behave until they get to the fun stuff, then time will pass quicker, and then he can leave! Yes, Ikaris liked this plan. It was doable to endure. He hoped. "Thank you. It helps Ruina has returned home. Seeing the Warrior Princess has brought hope to our people." Enzo nodded with a smile in agreement, but he had seen such a thing with his own eyes just a short time ago. It’s how people should view their royals though; in a positive manner. People put their trust into the royals to provide an essence of protection and safety to blanket the kingdom, and to see the way Ruina was perceived as royal was a new experience for Enzo. And a good one at that. As the food was placed in front of him, Ikaris muttered a barely audible thanks to Thaola. That’s probably all he should say though, isn’t it. ‘Thank you, no thank you, yes sir, no ma’am’. Apparently that was to be his very limited vocabulary for the majority of the trip. But at least he had food to munch on now. Give and take he supposed. Enzo also gave a quick thanks to Thaola in regards to the food, and then the wereleopard’s eyes were back to the Queen. “Thank you." A slight bow of Enzo’s head is how he expressed his acknowledgment of the Queen’s thanks. While Truhan’s may have had much pride in the thought of having their castle being built underwater, Enzo wasn’t so sure he would have ever visited if that were the case. On land and beside the ocean is one thing. Constructed beneath the waves though? That would be where Enzo would have to draw the line on places he visits. “As you should be. Do not mind my son, he means not to pry as it is none of our business." Enzo’s gaze flickered from the Queen to Ayduin, but Enzo’s smile expressed he truly took no offense. There were actually very few things Enzo would ever take offense in being asked, and he doubted anyone would try and push those limits over the course of his stay. “Ruina truly is amazing. Call me bias as her mother, but, yes, Ruina is truly an incredible young woman." If Enzo hadn’t seen steadfast agreement, he would have been tempted to start listing off the reasons as to why Ruina is so great. Even when they had just been friends, Enzo had always considered Ruina an admirable character. "And we are excited to get to know you as well. I can tell that Ruina really cares for you." A half grin is what Enzo gave to the Queen before he began lightly eating what was provided on the plate for him. While he wasn’t abundantly hungry, Enzo knew very well what could be misinterpreted by his lack of eating a meal provided to him in a castle. "Young wereeagle--" Ikaris’ eyes snapped to the Queen from where he had been peering around Enzo, and he paused in his chewing. Shit, am I using the wrong fork or something? Of course the Queen referring to him as ‘wereeagle’ he assumed was because the conversation had gone over who everyone was, or something, or perhaps Ruina said something prior to him and Enzo arriving? This is just one of the struggles of not being an attentive person. “--You seem bored." Ikaris glanced to Enzo, silently asking what he was supposed to respond with. "Thaola, why don't you take him on a tour around the castle? Or maybe show him the barracks. Whatever will entertain him." Ikaris was enlivened by those words, his blue orbs moving to Thaola with an evident want to do some exploring. Do they have a torture chamber? A dungeon on the premises? Can he throw pebbles at prisoners?! Even if that was a ‘no’, the barracks could be cool. "And of course, you are welcome to go with them. We can get to know each other better later.” Enzo hesitantly moved his eyes away from Ikaris to address the Queen. “A tour does sound wonderful. I’d be rather embarrassed if I managed to get myself lost here.” Enzo faintly chuckled, but establishing his bearings would be beneficial. Not to scout out the palace, but simply because he really would be embarrassed if he was separated from one of the Truhan’s and ended up wandering the castle lost. And accident or not, he could only imagine how poor it would look on him to be seen solo walking the grounds. “As said before, I do greatly look forward to getting to know you all, so I will postpone myself from indulging in that treat until further notice.” Enzo spoke, rising in his seat as Ikaris shot up beside him. “Thanks a million, Your Highness.” Ikaris winked to the Queen, his eyes moving back to Thaola. “I’m ready to get this show on the road if you are.” The wereeagle beamed. Enzo was not as energetic as Ikaris, but he was visibly interested in the tour. And at least if Ikaris was touring, Enzo didn’t have to worry about him getting into trouble. Hopefully.

Ruina wouldn't deny that she loved hearing stories. Stories of true, or stories of myth. She loved any kind of stories and made it clear that stories were important. Hence the reason she had been so upset when their records had been destroyed. So many stories had been lost. Ruina remembered a decent amount, but not enough. The likelihood of the entire records being restored was low, but the kingdom was still working on it. Though no doubt the process has been on halt since the attacks had begun. The werewolf would admit to Enzo if the topic ever came up, that she loved stories. She'd love to hear his stories, and she'd love to tell him stories. Just whatever involved stories. Hell, she'd sat for hours listening to stories from her brothers as well as Thaola and Tarron. Although there weren't many stories from Thaola and Tarron anymore, since the three were practically inseparable.
Aelrindel had no love for other royals, hell he barely had love for his own family. He was a king who was scared if anyone royal came into his home, and not for a social event or a meeting, they were there to steal secrets and find out weaknesses about Truhan and exploit them. Hence the reason Aelrindel was not fond of Enzo or Ikaris being within the castle. However, he also knew that his daughter's temper could get just as bad as his. And he knew that Ruina would not allow Aelrindel to just kick out either Ritha. Yet, the king was waiting for the moment that either Ritha messed up, and he had a proper reason to kick them out. Something that would just absolutely piss Ruina clean off. She would probably literally refuse to return to Truhan. The only reason she would was to see her mother and brothers, or she'd stay to help get rid of the attacking creature. But she would have absolutely no contact with her father. Hell, she may even denounce him.
The dynamic between the three siblings often reminded the Queen of the dynamic between Thaola, Tarron, and Ruina. The three royal siblings could get into a lot of trouble. However, they did it within the castle and made sure no word spread far. Their parents would slaughter them if they caused trouble and their citizens heard of it. Revalor did have the most pressure on him, however, the werewolf prince did well to balance it out. He was not a prince who was stuck up or set solely on ruling. He could be just as fun and wild as his two siblings. Now, all five of the Truhan's were just a shitshow for anyone within the castle. Thaola, Tarron, Ruina, Revalor, and Ayduin loved to cause mischief around the castle, especially together. Revalor did get the talks of setting examples and blah, blah, blah. But, the prince didn't really listen to all of it.
Thaola throws a look over her shoulder at Ikaris, half surprised there was no response. She figured she'd get some kind of remark, especially since there were no Truhan royals around. However, not a word slipped from the wereeagle's mouth. In fact, he seemed to be keeping his mouth shut. Thaola hid her chuckle by focusing, keeping her face forward and out of sight. She couldn't help but wonder how the Ritha's would react to Truhan food. While they had food like lamb, beef, pork, etc. They also had seafood, like shrimp, catfish, etc. Truhan preferred serving seafood, so that was probably what was going to be inside the dining room. Would the Ritha's eat it?
It warmed Ruina's heart that her people trusted her so much. When she had taken position of captain of the army, she did it to help protect her people. She never thought that her people would grow to love her so much. And she surely did not expect them to rely on her to save them from the unknown, like now. But yet, Ruina was warmed by it. She had always wanted to protect the kingdom and knew that it was a big sacrifice. And yet, here she was, years later. About the happiest she'd ever been.
Thaola nods slightly, just barely catching Ikaris' mutter. She tosses a smile at the boys, her answer to their thanks. The werelioness may like to cause mischief and be rude, but she knew how to play host. Tarron was just relaxing in the seat. The prince's were focused on their guests while Tarron looked just as calm as he ever did. Ruina would probably end up telling the story of how sea wereanimals had tried to build a castle underwater for the royals. However when it had been discovered that no one knew how to cast such magic so that they could breath underwater, the castle had been abandoned. There was no telling if the castle, half-finished, still stood. Or if it had been destroyed.
Ashera was well aware that Enzo did not seem offended, however, she still considered her son's questions rude and prying. Whatever Enzo chose to share, was his choice, however, the wereleopard should not share information simply because he was prompted to. Ruina would most likely stick by Enzo's side the entire time, especially after that fight with her father. Any plans or discussions about the beast would be discussed through Revalor. The king and princess would not be coming face to face again during this trip, at least not intentionally. Ruina was excited for Enzo to get to know her brothers. She had a feeling they would like each other and get along nicely. While if Ashera pulled her daughter aside to chat to her about Enzo, Ruina would rant about Enzo and how amazing she found him.
Thaola hides the snicker at Ikaris' face, however, stays quiet. Thaola simply nods,"Yes, Queen Mother. I'll show Ikaris the castle." Queen Mother was a nickname of Ashera. Much of the kingdom called her that. However Thaola called her that, because Ashera had practically been Thaola's mother. No doubt, Ikaris would be excited for the barracks and if Thaola felt like it, she may just take them to the dungeons. They had no one in them at the moment, but perhaps Ikaris would find some joy in it. As would Enzo, although, would Ruina return in time to join the tour? Often the fights took a while, but every so often the fights were short. Thaola knew that Ruina hated arguing, but the werewolf had admitted that when she talked with her father, he just pissed her off past the point of return and she just... said whatever came to mind, regardless of how disrespectful.
"A tour does sound wonderful. I'd be rather embarrassed if I managed to get myself lost here."
"A tour?" Thaola perks up,"Rui!" The werewolf had managed to slip in undetected. Ayduin studies his sister,"Rui--" Ruina cuts her brother off,"I rather not talk about it." Ashera muses,"Is your father still in his study?" Ruina's jaw tightens,"As far as I know." Before her family could ask anything or say anything else, Ruina turns to Enzo, Thaola, and Ikaris. "Yes, let's go on a tour. I need to distract my mind before I blow a fuse." Ashera sighs, she was the most vocal about wanting her husband and daughter to fix their bond. Even if she knew it was beyond repair. "As said before, I do greatly look forward to getting to know you all, so I will postpone myself from indulging in that treat until further notice." Even though the Queen's eyes were on her daughter, her words were directed at Enzo,"Indeed. Perhaps my husband will lighten up tonight at dinner, especially once he gets to know you."
Ruina growls,"Father will not be joining us at dinner tonight." Ashera frowns,"Why not?" The princess' lips thin, but she doesn't answer. Was it clear she was about to lose her mind? Perhaps. She was pissed, and she wasn't doing the best to hide it. "Thanks a million, Your Highness." Ashera simply nods again,"Have fun." Ruina glances at Thaola, who takes a step towards the door. "I'm ready to get this show on the road if you are." Thaola sweeps towards the door, pausing to tap Ruina reassuringly on the arm,"Well then, come along. Ta?" Tarron looks up,"I'll hang with Ayduin and Revalor." Thaola nods, heading out the door. Ruina waits for Enzo, before moving to follow Thaola out the door. Aware of her family's gaze on her back.

Enzo is the kind of guy that might, on occasion, turn a truth into a tale. No one can say he’s not creative though in his ability to weave stories from nothing as well though. Ikaris had his own stories of course… but honestly his stories turn into rants. And while records hold their own stories, wonderful ones, Enzo’s favorite is the one he’s living. And his favorite chapter? The one he’s currently writing with Ruina. It’s a new one, but one that holds so much potential, and a chapter he’ll never let close. Over the very brief period of time Enzo had been in the presence of the King, he was already making comparisons and differences between Ruina's father and his own. While they’re both decent rulers, fatherhood doesn’t seem to be a current strong suit for either. When it comes to visitors from other Kingdoms though, there are differences between their fathers. King Saxon is cruel in the sense he will not allow guests to leave his sights. Wouldn’t it be rude to leave the King’s side when he’s speaking of his home, and making conversation with a guest? Saxon is the one that gives the tours personally as well, but this is all a game. One that makes the visitor feel suffocated by the King’s presence, but wouldn’t you have it… the Queen herself saunters in to be their visitor's saving grace from her husband’s rampid mouth! But Annika has no good intentions of her own. Never. Ikaris only briefly glanced at Thaola when she threw the look over her shoulder, and when she faced forward, he stuck his tongue out behind her back before re-poising himself. He could still be subtly sassy with gestures, even if he couldn’t speak as much as he would like. As for seafood? Ikaris was a die hard lover of it all. Then again, Ikaris enjoys eating in general. There’s not much he’s ever had that he doesn’t like, and he is definitely the king of weird food combinations as well. Enzo? Seafood is good from time to time. The wereleopard has a smaller appetite that’s more fixated on red meats, but he has a well balanced love for seafood as well. It certainly brought Enzo a sense of awe to see Ruina so beloved. And a princess that was involved with her kingdom is something he can respect as well. Enzo really only currently oversees the royal dungeons on occasion, and when he and Ikaris make trips to Ritha so Enzo can fulfill his servitude, it’s always fun. There’s nothing more torturous than the boys playing ‘good cop, bad cop’ with prisoners. Just for fun. Are they supposed to? No. But no one has dared say a thing to Enzo’s parents. After all, what prisoner, or guard on duty, in their right mind would dare undermine the Crown Prince? Yep, no one so far. Ikaris wasn’t sure he liked ‘host Thaola’. He expected formalities from Enzo, but where was his mischievous werelioness friend when he needed her? Tarron being chill wasn’t an abnormal sight, but Thaola right now? It was different. At least in Ritha Ikaris has managed to wear down the expectations of the King and Queen, as well as several noblemen and women. At best he’s ignored, which Ikaris can live with because he doesn't care to actually know any of the stuck up higher class anyway. He was born poor, grew up poor, and in turn is heavily biased against anyone above the working class. It’s one reason why Ikaris was the hesitant one in his and Enzo’s friendship, since the wereeagle assumed Enzo was just a snobbish prince that wanted to play with the pitiful poverty stricken kid. Things changed, obviously, though. Tarron was still being Tarron currently, and that was fine with Ikaris. But Thaola was not being the Thaola he liked- erm, enjoyed the company of, and the wereeagle does not take well to different. It hadn’t been too long since Ruina departed the group, but even just in the dining room Enzo’s primary thoughts stayed with her. It was difficult to know someone he cared so much about was experiencing a less than desirable conversation, and not enjoying it by any means, and he couldn’t do anything about it. Nobody liked feeling helpless, and Enzo certainly didn’t like the ability to defend or protect not being available to him. Even if it's from Ruina's father. The wereleopard is scarily protective when pushed, and for Ruina that sense to protect her was only growing with everyday he spent with her. At least for the moment her family was a nice distraction, so that’s what Enzo was hoping to focus on. "Yes, Queen Mother. I'll show Ikaris the castle." Ikaris kept his gaze on Thaola, though he was beyond tempted to tease and mock the werelioness for her formalities with the Queen. He wouldn’t, but the thought was there. As always the thought to poke fun at anything remotely serious accompanied him, but that was just who Ikaris was. Of course the wereeagle could be serious, but the things he chooses to get serious over are… well he’d just rather not. It’s both as simple and as complicated as that. “A tour?" Enzo turned his attention to the voice that rippled through the room, and while he wore a smile, it was full of concern for Ruina. “Rui!" If Enzo weren’t concerned with still being in sight of the Queen and the Truhan princes, Enzo would have approached Ruina right then in a gentle manner. “Rui--" Enzo shifts so he can easily gauge the faces between the other royals currently in the dining room. “I rather not talk about it." Both boys saw that coming. "Is your father still in his study?" Enzo’s eyes did momentarily search for any sign of the King’s silhouette lingering, but to his relief, he saw nothing. “As far as I know." Enzo was currently only smiling for Ruina, to reflect his worry wouldn’t ruin his mood. "Yes, let's go on a tour. I need to distract my mind before I blow a fuse." Yep, Enzo was going to go into unrelenting boyfriend mode. Meaning he wasn’t going to leave Ruina's side for the rest of the day if he could help it. "Indeed. Perhaps my husband will lighten up tonight at dinner, especially once he gets to know you." Enzo’s eyes flicker back to the Queen, but before he could spew a polite lie of how he would love to sit down with the King, Ruina growled. "Father will not be joining us at dinner tonight." Thank the gods. "Why not?" The why didn’t matter to Enzo, he was just relieved to hear dinner wouldn’t be painfully awkward. "Have fun." Ikaris wiggled his fingers with a smile in the Queen’s direction, “I will.” It was a promise, and hopefully not one taken as a threat. The boys began to walk towards the door, with them watching Thaola and Ruina. "Well then, come along. Ta?" The two Ritha’s turn back to see what Tarron’s response would be. "I'll hang with Ayduin and Revalor." After the answer, both boys were quick to proceed once more with accompanying the girls. Enzo didn’t exactly ask or give warning, but he did reach out to take Ruina’s hand in his to offer her his silent support. At the moment he didn’t care her family was still behind them either. Once they passed through the door though, Enzo’s thumb rubbed over her hand. He wouldn’t ask either about the conversation, especially not while they’re trying to enjoy a good moment, so that’s what he would focus on. “So what are we checking out first? I swear to the gods though if you take me to that scary ass hall with portraits you guys were talking about in art class, then I will be livid. Anywhere but the hall of paintings!” Ikaris declared theatrically. Enzo had his brows furrowed, looking between Ikaris and the Truhan’s. “Portraits aren’t scary, they just… exist.” Enzo shrugged, but he had not been a part of that art class conversation either, nor did he find much unease around portraits. The look of disgust and disbelief Ikaris gave though was cast to Enzo before the wereeagle scoffed. “Can you believe this guy?” Ikaris thumbed at Enzo, glancing to Thaola while shaking his head.
