Shadow made it to the pond before going left around it. They made it out of the wolf's territory. He looked down from a ridge seeing that they were almost there. Panting, he made sure Hail and Jack were still following before making his way down the mountain.

Shadow went down the mountain before coming to a marked tree. Letting out a howl, he said to Hail, "We are back in my territory! We are here!" He loped, weaving trees, before coming to his den. The den was pretty deep and warm. Turning back, he let out another howl announcing his return. He then went inside to make sure no foxes were inside.

Shadow heard a rustle and found that a rabbit bunch had moved in. Killing them all swiftly, he trotted back to Hail and Jack placing some rabbits next to them. "Den is cleared out. There is plenty of prey here for us to hunt." He watched Jack for a moment before saying, "If of course you would like to stay with me." He looked at her, hopefully.
