Isadora was just used to ignoring the fog and powering through. Perhaps it was a good thing for her, but she did find herself being more distant in the mornings where she did.
Her stomach had growled quietly, seeming to have sensed the food coming before it appeared. She smiled at the chefs word, nodding her yet. "Yes ma'am, thank you," she said softly, dipping her head in appreciation before turning to Xevon as he spoke. "Where ever will be perfectly fine. I'm not too picky," she admitted. She normally ate breakfast alone, in a room with a window she could stare out quietly. |

Xevon shrugged loosely. He didn't really have a preference either way. The young man dipped his head and smiled faintly, glancing down the hallway. There was a small table near the end, beside a window. It had been occupied previously but now was vacant. "How about that one?" He gestured with his chin and elbow. "It looks peaceful enough at least," Xevon noted and started walking toward the little table. It had three chairs around it, the window just slightly above the edge of the table face. The tray was just almost too long for the small table, but not wide enough to be a problem. "How does this look?" |

The table at the end of the hall seemed just like somewhere she'd choose to eat, so she nodded. "Looks good to me," she confirmed, pleased to just easily find an open area. Isadora followed Xevon, her steps softly padding down the hall, fading off as she came to a stop at the table.
Isadora's gaze had almost immediately flitted to the outside world, her attention only drawing back in as he'd spoke. "It's perfect," she said softly with a small nod, moving aside to sit down. Outside, one would never tell that the kingdom was at war. Everything seemed as perfect as could be when in reality, things could be in ruins in a matter of weeks. Or days. |

Xevon immediately stepped forward to sit down as well, his eyes drawn to the outside world. The tender little garden that sat just outside the window seemed frozen in time. The green bushes that reached out with flowers that just barely reached a bud. Drowsy bees drifted around the plants, idle and working up as the chill of the night slowly wore off. The prince seemed fascinated for a few minutes, hardly moving and hardly eating at all while he watched the little capsule of peace. Finally, the smell and his own hunger, drew him to the plates in front of him. His hand paused, before he reached out to grab some of the fruit. "Y'd never know what's happening if you just looked right outside," he murmured softly. "Sometimes, I wish I were a bee." |

Isadora had broken from the window for a moment to help herself to a bit of food, munching quietly on grape as the lost herself in thought. She truly wondered if things were faring badly at the northern pass. Surely the world would be a little more disrupted right? Perhaps not.. She hated that she knew nothing of war or how bad off they truly were.
As the young prince across from her spoke, Isadora turned her gaze to meet his. "I was just thinking about that," she said softly, a small frown tugging at her lips. "One would think there'd be more disturbance in a kingdom at war, but instead..." she paused, her blue-green orbs drifting to stare out the window. "Instead everything is peaceful.. Blissfully unaware of everything at stake," she sighed as she looked down. "Being a bee would be quite nice..." |

Xevon set his cheek in his palm, looking at the tray. His hazel eyes seemed to dim just slightly as he let himself get lost in his own thoughts. "Worrying about nothing more than flowers. Eating, flowers, and honey... and honeycombs." A slow sigh lifted his chest and lowered it as the breath escaped from his lips. "But here we are, not bees... no hope of becoming a bee either." He attempted to dry the edge of his words with a short chuckle at the end of his words and shook his head, sitting up fully. "They say it's about a two day's travel from the city limits to the northern pass. After that? I have no idea," he finally said. "The earlier we can leave, the better." |

Isadora studied the man before her, a blank look on her face. Her eyes held every emotion one could need to know, and it was as if she felt every single word that came out of his mouth.
A small smile graced her lips as he joked about there being no hope to become bees. No hope indeed... Isadora ate some of her food, listening to what he had to say about the travels. It was obvious in the shift of her body language that she was a bit nervous to be leaving. "Do you..." she started, looking away as blush tinged her cheeks. "Do you think it'll be dangerous?" Isadora had never traveled for longer than a few days time, and when she did, her father along side numerous guards had always been at her side. She knew that this trip would not be the same and it deeply worried her. |

Xevon glanced over as she hesitated and flushed with some faint color. She seemed... almost a little bit tense, and wasn't looking at him once more. The question she posed was valid, it was in all it's entirety valid. There was no doubt about that in Xevon's mind and it showed in his thoughtful expression. The man frowned for a moment or two before tilting his head to the side. "I suppose it could potentially be dangerous," Xevon finally agreed, knitting his hands together while his eyes drifted up toward the ceiling. "But I don't think it'll be as bad as like... traveling to the east. Oh, man. Did that once, I hope never to travel there again." He shuddered. "No, I imagine that the Empire will be reasonable if we're going as diplomats." |

Isadora faintly flinched as he said it could possibly be dangerous, but she stayed quiet as he continued to speak. His comment about the East managed to spark a small, hesitant smile to her face as she nodded. "East was that bad, huh?" She teased, shaking her head slightly. His own kingdom was the furthest she'd traveled east, so she had no idea what it was like.
Isadora sighed, her gaze finally resting on him again. "I guess I'm just nervous because I've never traveled that far. It's just really intimidating," she shrugged, trying to down play how uneasy she truly was. She didn't want Xevon to think she wouldn't be able to handle it, because she could, she'd just be a little hesitant with going. |

Xevon winced and shook his head. "Oh man, yeah. It was... awful. There's not a ruling head out there, just a whole bunch of warring estates and oh my stars." He rubbed his face, loooking out the window. "Yeah." But as she spoke again, about traveling far from her kingdom, his hazel eyes softened. "I understand. The farther you are from home, the ... more it feels wrong or terrifying," he confirmed with a slow nod. "It makes sense. Especially when we don't know for sure what the empire will do." He hesitated before shrugging. "But they seem somewhat reasonable," Xevon said, waving one hand. "I'm sure it'll be fine." |
