His transition from the window to the tree had been relatively smooth. He had lots of practice and was well trained to do things like that. But he knew not everyone spent a childhood of sneaking out of orphanages to visit the city or did intense military training like he did. He heard curses come from the other side of the window but he couldn't see what exactly happened. He held back his urge to ask if she was okay, knowing she needed to concentrate on getting out first. Then his hand was grabbed and he held on tightly with a firm grip. "I got you, it's okay," He willed her and watched as she stepped on and balanced. He stood up, balancing almost perfectly this time. He was used to sneaking out and using small platforms and railings to get down. He had been on the fourth floor after all. He gently pulled Samara against his body, his other hand going around her waist to prevent her from losing her balance. "Are you okay?" He breathed, noticing the blood that had fallen onto the tree. His voice betrayed his concern as he waited for her answer.

Samara had never been the most graceful person ever when it came to sneaking out, but she really caught hell that time going through the window. She leaned carefully into Fabian, though not so much as to make him lose his balance. She had heard him ask if she was alright, but it took a moment for her to figure out how to answer.
Samara stared at her arm for a moment before pulling out the glass shard that had broken off and chunked it away from them. She looked at the wound and bit her lip before covering it with her other hand to put a bit of pressure on it. "Damn glass got me good, but I.. I should be okay," she said though her voice was a bit shaky. She was fine with other people's blood, but for some odd reason she was never good with her own. Samara rose her arm up a bit so that Fabian would be able to see what they were dealing with. Glass was always good about delivering clean but deep slices and it had done just that.

He was worried about Samara, as much as he didn't want to, he found himself doing it anyway. There was something about the woman that made him care about her, even with his brain sending warning signals. He can't get close to her. She was the enemy. "Damn glass got me good, but I.. I should be okay." He heard her and gave a nod. Fabian had tried to clear up all the glass that he could but that still didn't stop the sharp edges on the side. "Let me see," He insisted, his one hand in her hand letting go to brush her hair out of her face instead. His other hand tightened around her just in case she didn't have balance. He wasn't about to let her fall off the tree. His voice was gentle and caring, wanting to help the best he could. He could feel her body shaking against his own. She shown him her arm and he studied it. It didn't look like there was anything in the cut, glass that is but it would be better to assess on the ground. The hand that had brushed hair away reached into his pocket and pulled out a handkerchief. It would help apply pressure and stop the bleeding until he could assess the wound better on the ground. He wrapped the hankerchief around her wound with one hand, tying it in a knot equally well with just one hand. He had a skill for that, he learned to do it back in boot camp. He had been well prepared for the military before he even thought about joining. "It's okay...Samara," He soothed her, his gaze looking up and meeting hers,"We all make mistakes." Samara had came a long way with being around blood, but she still got so funny around her own. She knew she'd be alright, but it didn't change the fact she should have paid more attention. She looked away from it and let him tie his handkerchief around it. She leaned her head against him and took a deep breath to calm herself down. "Let's just get down to the ground. I'd really hate for my body to decide I need to pass out," she said as she shook her head.
Samara looked up at Fabian, holding onto him gently. She had her balance and she had finally stopped shaking. His soothing tone had really helped her feeling and calmed her down. She was ready to move when he was, but she didn't want to make any sudden movements in fear of throwing off both of their balances since they were so close.

He wasn't sure what had Samara so shaken up. He just continued to let her know that it was okay. The cut wasn't deep by the looks of it. He just wanted to make sure there wasn't any glass in it. He just continued to comfort her, keeping his arm wrapped around her and letting her calm down. She was clinging onto him but that was okay. Sometimes people just needed to do that for reassurance that they were fine. He waited until Samara spoke again, noticing she had calmed down and seemed to be ready to continue When her gaze met his, he gave her a light smile. "Just follow me, I'm used to obstacle courses. Believe it or not, I was a teenage rebel back in the day," He said and waited for her to let go. She was leaning on him so it was best for her to get up and regain her balance first. And not to mention that he was already used to the feeling of the tree and felt secure on it. He adjusted fast to it due to his past experiences.

Samara had to remind herself that it was just blood, and losing a little wouldn't kill her. She never knew why it made her so queasy to see her own blood as she could deal with other peoples blood with absolutely no issue. She probably seemed ridiculous for being so bothered, which was embarrassing, but at that point she was ready to be on solid ground.
"Right, I should be good to go now," she said with a small smile, though she wasn't so sure she'd convinced herself she was alright. Samara carefully let go of Fabian and shook her head as he said that he'd been a rebel back in the day. "I don't see it at all," she said with a small laugh. Of course she didn't think he was a goody two shoes, but she didn't really see rebel in him.
Once Samara let go and felt ready, she rose to a standing position and balanced on the tree. She made sure she was stable before looking at Fabian. "Well, I'm ready when you are, so after you." Thankfully her shakes were gone, so she had back good balance. Hopefully her balance wouldn't fail her and she'd make it down with out a fall.

"Hey!" Fabian huffed at her statement about not seeing him as a rebel. He had been rebel, always sneaking out, going to parties, vandalizing property...he just never got caught. Then later his rebel side got trained out of him by boot camp and the military. It had been draining so he had put all his focus into becoming a soldier. He waited for Samara to stand up and get situated. His hands helped steady her as she stood up straight. He didn't let go until he was absolutely certain that she had her balance. He gave a nod toward her and began leading down the tree. Luckily, the wind had stopped blowing heavily. It was still snowing but light flurries that were pretty to look at. It was still freezing cold though and he couldn't wait to get back to base. So he moved rather quickly across the trunk of the tree and toward the ground. He would pause every once in a while to make sure Samara was behind him. When they got closer to the end, the trunk got thinner and unstable. He frowned as he moved, trying to step lightly. His movements also drastically slowed, trying not to step on a too thin part of the trunk. "Care-"His warning came out too late and ended in a loud shriek. He stepped on the wrong part of the trunk and it broke. He fell but quickly grabbed onto the tree, hanging on for dear life. He was lucky he hadn't put on his gloves yet. He hung there for a moment, breathing in and out to stop his racing heart.

Samara followed carefully, thankful her balance was good and secure. She could tell how much thinner the tree was becoming and it made her worry that one of them would fall. Her worries were made true as Fabian fell when the tree broke. A gasp left her mouth as she tried to hurry forward. She was so glad he'd caught the tree seeing as it was still a ways off of he ground.
"Hang tight," she said as she sat and straddled the tree. She knew there was no way she'd be able to help him in a standing position. She held onto the tree tightly with her thighs before holding out a hand. "I'll help pull you up," she said as she made sure there would be room for him to be pulled up on.

"Hang tight." Fabian heard Samara's voice and shook his head. He didn't want her trying to get to him and ending up falling,"No stay where you are." He warned, looking up into the tree. He would be fine, he would figure out a way out on his own. He didn't want Samara falling after him. But of course she seemed to not hear him. Snow flew off the tree and onto his hands, causing him to struggle to stay on. He bit his lip, staring up at her as she scooted closer. "I'll pull you up." He saw her hand reach out and hesitated. He wasn't sure if Samara could support his weight and pull him up while staying on the tree. But then his hands were also freezing and he could barely hang on. His left hand slipped because of the snow making it slippery. With his heart pounding, he took Samara's hand just as his other hand slipped.
