Shadow flicked his ears, "Not all humans are like that to their dogs but to wolves like me, yes they are." He got up. "We should get you home. Maybe your owner just needs to see that you will go home on your own. And get away from those other humans." He said flattening his ears.

Shadow flicked his ears confused. "Why would they want to take you to the pound? Your a great sled dog. Your owner must know this." He could hear her owner coming their way, and he backed into the shadows slightly.

Shadow watched this before sighing. This is why my pack doesn't want me. He thought before following them. The humans got into the van and started it up. Shadow quickly jumped, turning the handle on the back door. Once it swung open, one of the humans yelled but Shadow had already jumped in and hid behind some of the cages. The humans yelled to each other before closing up the van. Shadow laid down as the van started to move.

Shadow looked around, not seeing Hail for a moment before seeing her a couple cages forward. Not being able to get to her with the other dogs, he laid his head down and fell asleep.

Shadow woke up to find no Hail, the door closed and barking dogs. Getting up, he stretched before looking at the door. Apparently only be able to get opened from the outside, he sat down to think. Looking towards the front, he saw the the human had left his window all the way down. Jumping out of it, he made a dash to the woods where he waited for them to go to sleep. She has to be in there somewhere. He thought, waiting for night to come.
