Selova & Lennox

Selova and Len hurried off to the limo that was going to pick them up, and climbed inside. Len's face was expressionless as usual, yet her eyes held a solemn look. She tilted her head, staring at her boss who was laughing like a maniac. "Victoria's face was priceless! Can't believe she fell for it!" She wiped a tear that dared to escape from her eyes, her lips widened into an impish grin. Lennox sighs, deciding to give the limo driver Selova's address, considering that the woman was too busy hollering. "223 Golden Valley Road," Lennox replied to the driver, who put in the address through the GPS. Selova licked her lips, licking off the lingering whiskey. She crossed her legs together, a satisfied hum rumbling in her throat. Oh, messing with her precious ex was the best entertainment for the night. She was deeply pleased by it all.

Len moves to settle beside her boss, her eyes surveying through the tinted windows of the vehicle. That's when she spot that a car was tailing them, and the person driving said car didn't bother to hide themselves. "We're being followed." Her body tensing up, getting ready for a possible battle. Selova, on the other hand, wasn't bothered. "Figure out who it is first. Hack into their cybernetic system." She shuffled around until she was laying down, covering her eyes with one of her arms. Len stared at her boss, curious as to why she was sleeping in a situation like this. Len focused back to the tailing car, her eyes glowing as she begins to hack into the person's classified government info. Their identification number, name, age, gender, criminal records, and occupations popped into view. Lennox reading every single one of them thoroughly starting from the bottom up. The more she read, the more familiar it came to be. Finally she reached the name, her pupils extending to brief shock before settling again. "It's Jeager, boss. Victoria's bodyguard." She shuts down her hacking system, her eyes dimming back to a normal brightness. Len turns her body to face her completely, waiting patiently for her next hour.

Selova sat up, a grin on her face as she was excited again. "Vic, you sneaky little fox. Sending your bodyguard to follow us to gain info about the non-existent woman who won my heart." She thins her lips, trying to make a decision. Imhaling sharply, Sel shrugged her shoulders, putting her hands behind her head and slouched in her seat. "Leave her. Victoria doesnt know about my new home. I'm certain her pet would tell her my address once she sees it." Sel grins for a few seconds before dropping it, "Let Vic think that I moved in with that fake woman." Her tone hardened and icy when she ordered her bodyguard, closing her eyes to take a nap. Len stared at her for a bit before turning her gaze to the car that Jeager was driving. Lennox was debating if she call her or not. Her mind riddled with guilt. All that regret was eating her alive. She wants to tell Jeager the truth, yet she was too cowardly to even say a singular sentence.

════════

Eliza

She examined Victoria's and Selova's interactions with each other, confused as to what she's seeing. They're body movements and expressions was hard to read, the two are professionals at concealing their true reactions. Much to Eliza's dreaded soul. That was until Selova and her bodyguard decided to leave. Eliza watching the two women leave in a hurry withher mouth agape in surprise. Selova left her here to fend off the so-called she-devil. Her attention went to Victoria as she spoke about her new boss, noticing the hint of possessiveness in her words as she wished Selova goodbye. Eliza was uncertain if it was genuine or she's threatening Sel in an odd way.

She expected many things, but not the Alpone Corp CEO to approach her and pin her into the chair. Eliza jerked her head away when she felt Victoria's hand on her chin, gulping nervously in her presence. "I, um, I'm not allowed to share anything. Selova's dad would have my head." She stammered out, clenching her dress anxiously. "I can share info on Selova's personal life, if that's what you want." Staring into Victoria's red eyes was deathly uncomfortable, so she moved her eyes down to focus on her dress.

Jaeger

╔══════╣ ⚜ ╠══════╗

Jaeger was tailing them, a few feet from their rear bumper. She didn't entirely understand why Victoria would want her to tail them, and purposely be noticed, but that cunning woman must have had something up her sleeve. The woman sighed heavily, searching the dash for something in particular. "Ah, there you are." Auto-pilot. Generic vehicles, unfortunately, don't have this kind of technology, but thankfully, more and more vehicles were being created with this system engaged. As she pressed the button, she began to take off her coat and gloves, revealing the hardened-steel mechanical arms beneath the cloth.

Suddenly, Jaeger gripped the steering wheel with a firm hold, her teeth grinding against each other. "Fucking bastard," she growled. As much as Jaeger kept her cool back there, she was starting to lose it, the anger and grief getting the best of her. "Years," she scoffed, "Years I spent mourning your death," Jaeger spoke as she looked at the limo in front of her. The tint on the back of the limo was dark as night, even with genetically engineered eyes, she couldn't seem to look through it- guess her eyes simply weren't designed to look through walls.

════════════

Victoria

╔══════╣ ⚜ ╠══════╗

Victoria could see how nervous she was making the woman, it was funny how scared she seemed to be. Vic stood back up, and brushed her hands together, clasping them. "You are not very trustworthy are you? Willing to give up information about one's personal life for your own gain, I presume?" She chuckled, "I haven't even properly threatened you yet, and here you are, ready to give up anything in order to get out of this situation alive." Vic smiled, and looked around for a moment, before focusing back on Eliza. "Maybe it's best we spoke in a more, secluded area, don't you think so?" Regardless of the girl's response, Victoria grabbed her wrist and lifted her from the chair, dragging her along. If she could make this woman talk, and give Vic anything she needed, well, she would prefer to have such information exposed in a much more private setting.

Walking from the main room, Victoria casually sped down through halls, searching for an empty room. It wasn't long until she found one, chucking Eliza into the room, she closed and locked the doors behind them, whipping around to face the woman, her entire mood and demeanor changed. She had that confident and intimidating aura about her, but it seemed more manic and insane. "Lord, do you know hard it is to keep up such a petty and childish act? Ha.. for a second there," Victoria ran her fingers throughout her hair, and fell back against the door, her head tilted towards the ceiling, "I wanted to really kill you."

"I've seen you before," Vic looked at Eliza, "Maybe you don't remember me, but I remember you clear as day." She walked closer to Eliza, her eyes fixated on the woman, her eyes preying upon her. "I finally- finally got away from work, I had gotten myself a good few hours of free-time.. and I was going to spend that time with my dear and beloved Selova," she huffed, "We had everything planned out.. we had the time, the place, the date. Everything was going perfect, until you." There was a solemn silence, but Victoria didn't stop there. "I walked through those doors, expecting to see my love waiting for me, but instead I see her talking with you. Honestly, for a moment, I thought you were some stranger just speaking to Selova for the hell of it. But what stranger goes up to someone they've never met before, and holds their hands?" Just thinking about that moment made Victoria's stomach churn, her fists coiling. "But to answer you from earlier, I would be thrilled if you could let me in on anyone special in Selova's life, whether it's you, or anyone else for that matter."

Selova & Lennox

The limo the two women were in was heading to a gated driveway, coming to a gentle stop. What lies behind the vertical metal bars beholds a breathtaking manor, clearly taking a modern inspiration. The theme of the home was gray-scaled, from the top down to the foundation, with windows nearly covering every inch of the building, yet they were two-way. You can't see the interior from the outside. If you were inside the building, you're able to. Not to mention, they're bulletproof. Selova paid extra to have them made. The walls are reinforced with hardened steel. It probably would require a bomb to destroy. Toughen doors that can withstand a decent amount of bullets. Security cameras outside and inside her property. A few hidden sentry turrets, just in case. A gate that only opens to those whose ID number has been approved by the user (ahem, Selova). This place was built to be more of a bunker than a home. When the two stepped out, Sel stretched in place, her eyes on the car Victoria's bodyguard was driving. She yawned boredly, seeming tired of this whole little session already. Len eyed the car suspiciously, her hands folded together, patiently waiting for any sign of aggression.

Selova pulled a piece of paper from her pocket, then went to the limo driver to ask for a pen, which he gave without hesitation. She wrote something down in hurried handwriting. The small paper now has her address and new phone number. She totally didn't change her old one out of pettiness when Victoria stopped contacting her. The white-haired woman approached her bodyguard, giving the paper to her. She gestured to the car Jeager was in, her eyes dark and steely. That brightened attitude was gone, Selova dropping her cheery facade. She wasn't in the mood for jokes or any excitement, for that matter, even her own. "Quit stalling and give it to her," she ordered, clearly bitter about something. That made Len curious as to what. Could it be seeing her ex once again? Her not able to attend the street race? Or both. Without questioning it further, she grabbed the slip of paper and examined it for a few seconds. She walked over to the stolen car, positioned herself on the driver's side, and knocked on the glass gently. Len held out the slip of paper, moving back to keep the distance between them.

════════

Eliza

Eliza squeezed her legs together, trying her hardest to keep eye contact but failing terribly. Her eyes dashed side to side, a lump in her throat, and her heart was racing fast. "I'm only loyal to Selova's father. Not her." She replied, truth riddled deep in her words. "I desire no gain of any kind. My sole purpose is to ensure that Mr. Montcroix's company doesn't crash and burn." Eliza locked eyes with Victoria, the lump in her throat finally going away. Her dark chuckle made her heart cease, and Eliza's pupils widened in concern. That can't be good. None of it can be good. Yup, that was proven true when the woman offered to take her someplace secluded to discuss further. She was going to reject such an offer, but she was tugged along against her will. Eliza was unsure if she should drag her feet or not. She has little to spark the other's anger further.

After being shoved rudely into an empty room, she stumbled a bit before regaining her footing. She used her hands to smooth out her black dress, her skin prickling as Victoria's presence was smothering the Hell out of this room. It was clear. Eliza's eyes settled on the black-haired woman, checking her posture and bodily movements. This woman was way out of both her and Selova's league. That made her curious as to how in the fuck Sel managed to date someone like Victoria. Another question scientists can't solve. When she started to talk, Eliza's face drained in color, now taking on a sickly pale when Victoria mentioned her nearly killing her. "I'm grateful for that," she mumbled, wrapping her arms around herself to comfort herself.

Another sentence made Eliza perk up, her body shifting uncomfortably when Victoria mentioned seeing her before. She listened quietly as she described the event, a frown starting at first, but it lightened up to a bewildered expression when she finished her statement. She was deathly quiet, creating a sentence in her brain to ensure it won't piss the she-devil off. "You thought Selova and I were having an," she blinked a few times, covering half of her face with a hand, "affair?" Saying the word almost made her puke, disgust heavy in her tone. "We were holding hands so she can hand some documents on a flash drive without anyone noticing." Eliza took her hand off her face, her eyes down to the floor, and mumbled, "At least we know that method works now, don't we?" She paused when Vic brought up spilling Selova's romantic life, Eliza giving her a shrug. "She hasn't been around others like that. Well," she furrowed her brows, trying to check her memories, "she does go out to parties. Street races, of course. I have no clue if she met or slept with anyone while she was out. But," she paused herself, knowing her final answer could add fuel to the fire, "it's a possibility."

Jaeger

Jaeger stopped before the metal gates to the mansion, and she was absolutely breathless. It's size, and beauty was beyond anything Jaeger could have ever imagined. It had been a long.. long time since she'd saw such a magnificent mansion. Hah- maybe she should've employed herself here. Ahead of her, she watched closely as Selova and Lennox exited the limo, and they began to speak with one another. Jaeger couldn't hear exactly what they were up to, but she was intently observing as the white-haired woman wrote something down on a small piece of paper, handing it to Lennox. Jaeger was finding it harder and more difficult to accept that Len was not dead, and that she was standing 50ft from her. It felt unreal, felt like she was seeing a ghost. A deep feeling of betrayal was brewing in her gut.

To her surprise, Lennox had begun walking towards the vehicle. As an automatic response, she shifted in her seat, switching gears into drive, her foot cradling the gaspedal, prepared for the worst. Jaeger was infact weary of Lennox. It had been years since they last saw one another, and if Jaeger changed, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if Len did the same. At this point, anything was possible, and she had to be prepared for the unexpected. Jaeger was confident in her abilities, but Len's presence could certainly make Jaeger shudder. Without realizing, she realized that her ex-lover was now at the window, gently knocking on the window, holding out the piece of paper. Her violet eyes were locked onto the paper, and she hesitated to move for a moment. But after taking a moment to breathe, she opened the door and stepped out, looking up at Lennox.

The silence between the two was loud, and eery. It was becoming cold and heavy as moments went on, and to interrupt such silence, Jaeger cleared her throat and took the piece of paper from Len's hand, taking a few steps back. Not even reading what was written on the paper, she nodded her head in thanks, and turned around to face the driver's side door. Why wasn't she entering the vehicle? Why wouldn't her legs just move? There was nothing left for Jaeger to do here- right? But her gut burned, and her head was swirling. Suddenly, she spoke. "Do you even understand.. how painful it was, to understand that I'd never see you again? And here I am, standing before you, waiting for an explanation, yet you say nothing. " Jaeger's breath was shallow and quiet, and she turned around to look Lennox in the eyes, a dark feeling overcoming the woman.

════════════

Victoria

Victoria listened closely to Eliza, as she spoke, her mood slowly changed. Her smile was no longer, her eyes were no longer expressing insanity. Her entire aura changed. As Eliza spoke about how she was only exchanging information with Selova, Victoria was realizing her mistake. "No- she.. you..." she spoke in a soft whisper, confused now. She looked back, trying to figure out what had happened back then. She was quickly putting the pieces together, piece by piece. "No.. that would mean that-.. she never had betrayed me. She was faithful- and I was too quick to assume..." she spoke, grabbing her forehead, her fingers curling around her own locks tightly. She couldn't comprehend the situation properly, her head was swirling with emotions she had never felt before. No longer was she focused on Eliza, her eyes were shaking back and forth, left and right, up and down, desperately looking for some kind of explanation. But she knew better.. she knew damn well what she had done. One of her gravest mistakes. Out of pure nerves, she smiled and chuckled hoarsely, "Hah.. I.. truly assumed she was unfaithful to me. I ignored her for months on end, filling myself up with hatred and bitterness.. only to find out it was never true! It makes so much sense now." A single tear managed to escape, trickling softly down her cheek. Taking a small step back, she took a deep breath, and shook her head. "Oh, how foolish I've been." How foolish indeed. Victoria couldn't believe how stupid she was.. of course, Selova could never have betrayed Vic. It wasn't simply in her blood- perhaps the separation and paranoia got in the way. She should've walked up to Selova that night and said something, but no, she was far too cowardly to walk up to them. As her mind raced back and forth, her gut felt ill, twisting back and forth. What else she couldn't get off her mind.. is why Eliza would pick that specific date and time to visit Selova-.. did she know about their relationship? Was she trying to split them up? As Victoria came to her senses, her eyes slowly locked back onto Eliza, looking her dead in the eye. "Did you, do it on purpose? Because if you were never there, none of this would have ever happened."

"Aha.." Victoria chuckled, which shortly turned into laughter. "Oh, you had me going there! For a second there, I was honestly blaming myself." Quickly, she reached into her sleeve, taking out a black flip-phone, one that looked like a burner. She opened it up, and began dialing a number. As it started to ring, someone had picked it up, and Victoria spoke into it subtly. "Come back." When finished, she simply threw it off to the side, wiping off her cheek where the tear had settled. Exhaling deeply, Vic turned around, walked towards the door, and opened it. She turned around, facing Eliza. While remaining eye contact with the woman, she walked up to her, and placed her hands on her shoulders. "If you truly value your life," she sighed, twirling a piece of the secretary's hair, "I would suggest you leave, right here and now. I'll give you... 3 seconds."

Lennox

Len remained firm in place, unmoving like the mountains, and her expression steely. She wasn't unbothered by the silence, finding it oddly comforting. More so, it's the presence of her ex-girlfriend again. The silence between them was neither good nor bad, yet Len couldn't shake the feeling that Jeager would drag in something else. Something darker than anything. Len clasped her hands together in front of her, squeezing her hands tight together to find a method to ease her worries. Her eyes watched as Jeager turned her back to her, a slightly disappointed look briefly appearing in her eyes before subsiding. When Jeager spoke, Len's heart was crushed with regret. It was eating her up.

When she paused and turned around with her eyes locked on hers, Lennox cowardly turned away, focusing on the ground below. She inhaled and exhaled sharply, taking a few cautious steps toward Jeager, wanting to get closer to the purple-eyed woman. When she was inches away from her, Len lowered herself, their eyes now at the same level. "It wasn't my intention to bring you endless pain, my darling." She replied softly, her eyes finally allowing emotions to show. "After that incident, I was sent to a private hospital. I was ordered not to return to the army. It was painful," she paused, gazing at Selova's speaking with the limo driver before focusing on Jeager, "for me to leave you behind. It killed me. Despite being alive, I felt dead. Nothing felt the same without you by my side."

She clenched her jaw, her hands dangling by her side before one reached over to grab one of Jeager's metaled hands. Her thumb traced the knuckles of metal before letting go with hesitation. "I am a coward. I admit that. I've been prepared to kill others for half my life, yet," she stepped backward, distancing herself from the other woman, "I'm useless when it comes to situations like this. My," she stopped mid-sentence, looking anywhere else but to Jeager, "-feelings never wavered while we were separated. I wanted you to know that." Faintly plastered on her cheeks was a faint blush, "But I'm certain that you don't want to hear about it now, which I understand completely." Before she continued, Jeager's phone rang, and her lips clamped shut. Her expression was stoic, as usual. The emotion in her eyes was gone once again. "Lennox! Come over here!" She stares over to Selova, who's now alone in the driveway, and she turns on her heel and marches over to her. She looks over her shoulder to Jeager, an apologetic gaze showing before going cold, and turns her head to her boss. Selova waited impatiently for Lennox to approach.

════════════

Eliza

She stood awkwardly as Victoria was spiraling into insanity at her dilemma, witnessing the woman have a complete mental breakdown. Hearing her incoherent words made her worry for her safety, the woman's eyes darting around the room to find a way to escape just in case, for example, Victoria decided to kill her and all. Suddenly she was blamed for the other woman's mistake, her brows furrowing yet her eyes riddled with fear, "I was on a coffee run and stumbled into Selova. It wasn't my intention to mess with whatever crazed relationship you two got going on." Heavy bravado in her voice. Strangely, the woman shifted the blame to her and pretended she wasn't one of the reasons her relationship crumbled. She stared at the door, pushing Victoria out of view to see if she can bolt out of the room. Well, that plan was foiled when she felt hands on her shoulders and Victoria threatening to kill her if she didn't leave while twirling a strand of her hair. In a hurry, Eliza left the room to rejoin the party that was still going on.

════════════

Selova

Upon Lennox's arrival, Selova cast a disappointed glare in the woman's direction, a scoff leaving her. "Don't get too cuddly on her. You're not done for the night." She practically snarled, her eyes darkening slightly before subsiding. Her attention went to her ex's bodyguard, noticing her on the phone for a split second, then hung up. She already knew who called her and couldn't help but release that mischievous attitude. "Come." She walks in Jeager's direction, her hands in the pocket of her business jacket. "I'm coming with you." Standing beside the driver's door, she glared deep into the bodyguard's eyes. Her entire demeanor was completely different from the last few seconds. "I'll be the one driving. I don't want to hear any form of denial from you." Without waiting for Jaeger's response, she hopped into the driver's side and revved the engine. "In the back. The both of you."

Len peeked in Jeager's direction before sitting behind her boss in the backseat. Her legs squish together while she settles her hands into her lap. It was clear that the conversation made Lennox an awkward mess, the woman not eager to share a backseat after that whole event. Her light-blue eyes stared outside, focusing on no one or anything in particular. To her, anything was better than staring at Jeager. When the second bodyguard hopped in the car, Selova sped down the empty road, not even bothering to put on a seatbelt. Truly. How did she survive this long? They arrived to their destination under 10 minutes due to Selova's driving. Selova parked outside the building with a screeching halt, "Text her you're here." She leaned back into her seat, drumming her fingers on the armrest inbetween the two front seats.

Jaeger

Jaeger was still, and quiet. As much as she wish she could have embraced Lennox, she held herself back. Listening to her voice made her heartache, she believed that she would never hear that voice again. Not in a hundred, or even in thousand years. Just listening to her voice, was excruciating. Her heart felt like it was faltering, skipping beats out of fear and confusion. Jaeger hadn't felt pain like this in... forever.

After listening to Lennox's partial explanation, her eyes gazed away from her ex, looking down, her fists clenching. "That's not the explanation I am looking for," she whispered bitterly. Jaeger wanted to snap, she wanted to let herself go, the urge to simply let it go was powerful, her legs and fists began to quiver, her still body becoming uneasy, shifting back and forth where she stood. No longer was she feeling sorrow, but anger and frustration. It burned so madly inside her, her body would twitch, begging and yearning to free itself.

Before she knew it, she was facing Lennox, eye-to-eye. Jaeger could see even the slightest emotion in Len's eyes, but it simply wasn't enough for Jaeger. She wanted an explanation, a better one. Why did Lennox have to die in the first place? Was it all planned? Was her death beneficial in some sort of way? What was the point of all this? Breathing sharply, Jaeger was about to speak when she saw Lennox grabbing her hand with ease, but letting it go shortly after. Just pulling away from Jaeger's touch, it hurt. Her eyes were growing cloudy and blurry, probably from all the tears she was holding back. Even such a small act made Jaeger greatly emotional, and angry. Her eyes shot up at Lennox, seeing as she was avoiding all eye contact at all costs. "Am I that repulsive, that you can't even look me in the eye-" she paused abruptly when she heard her phone ring in her back pocket. Without even a hint of hesitation, she glared at Len before grabbing her phone and answering it, taking a few steps away from Lennox.

"Come back." Victoria's voice echoed in Jaeger's skull. She sounded angry, but a hint of ease in her voice. Lord, that woman always confused the hell out of Jaeger. "Tsh," she hissed, tucking the phone back into her pocket. She was on the verge of opening the door, her steel fingers wrapped around the handle when she heard another voice, "I'm coming with you." Scoffing, Jaeger whipped around, glaring at Selova. "Excuse me? No, you are no-" before she could finish, the woman insisted that she would be coming with Jaeger and that she would sit behind the wheel instead of Jaeger. As much as she would love to refuse, Selova already made her way into the driver's seat, closing the door. Jaeger then looked at Lennox, grinding her jaw, and shaking her head subtly. "Ridiculous," she muttered under her breath, walking around the backside of the vehicle, and hopping in. She paid Len no mind, ignoring her presence entirely.

As the vehicle pulled to a stop in front of the building where the party was being held, she could hear Selova speaking once more. Demanding that Jaeger message Victoria, who did she think she was? "Last time I checked," Jaeger opened her door, kicking her feet out, her eyes focused on Selova in the rear-view mirror, "I do not work for you, and I remember quite clearly that I am under someone else's commands, not yours." Jaeger scoffed, tucking her hand into her chest pocket. She grabbed a pair of dark sunglasses, put them on, and clicked a button on the side of the glasses. "So, unfortunately, I'll have to respectfully decline that request."

Selova

Selova fake pouts at Vic's bodyguard, "Rude." Her tone was light as she teased the purple-eyed woman before storming back into the building in search of her ex-girlfriend. However, she stopped at the entrance, glaring at the two bodyguards, "Stay out here and don't move." She ordered before rushing inside to discuss something with her ex. She's either good at tracking or stalking as she found the red-eyed lady rather quickly, the woman smiling proudly at her accomplishment. "Vic-Vic," she says in a sing-songy voice as she enters the room where Victoria was in. Selova goes over to her and wraps her arms around her waist. "Hello, Muffins. Apple Pie. Sweet Potato." Sel kept on with cheesy couple nicknames to torture Vic for the crimes she committed against her heart. "Lastly, Honey Buns," Sel's lips spread impishly, letting go of the other CEO. "There, I gave your rightful punishment of verbal torture." She rakes her fingers through her short, white hair examining the shorter woman with delight. "Now that we are alone, how about you admit you miss me? I won't tell. I'm good at keeping secrets." She throws in a wink, placing a hand on her hips. "Also. I lied about the whole girlfriend thing." She shamelessly blurted, laughing uncontrollably, "The look on your face is priceless. You tried so hard not to be mad but failed. I find it to be," she leaned forward, leaving a quick peck on Victoria's neck, "adorable even though you had murderous rage within you."
